  1. I went to a seminar a while back regarding TL's and it sounds like you can make a very nice living, but you have to know all the legalities involved. The best states for TL's are Texas and Florida, they yield the highest rate of return at 25 and 18%. One thing is to always buy tax lein's from the county and never the owner. You can buy TL listings from the county every month, the rate varies from county to county. There is a lot of research involved, because if end up owning a house through right to redemption in a bad section of town, good luck unloading it! But there is all kinds of ways to go about it, including on-line auctions. It's actually very interesting. The guy that spoke at the seminar is Mark Walter, do a search on Mark Walter Tax Lien and you'll get a ton of hits.
  2. There have been a lot of QB's that started their careers with bad lines. This is nothing more than a poor excuse, we still should see some positives even with a poor line. But the truth is, TE's just isn't an NFL starting QB. He can make plays when protection is good, but so can any QB. A great QB can make plays under any circumstance. I have lost all faith in TE's and refuse to make excuses for his poor play. In Donavan McNabb's first 5 season's, he only made it completely through 3 because his lines were so bad. In those full seasons, he was sacked 45, 39, and 43 teams. But he was never "shell shocked", good QB's do not get "shell shocked". And if anyone should be it should be DM, dude gets killed back there and is injured all the time. I know the Bills OL is pretty bad at the moment, but it's just an excuse for a very average QB IMO.
  3. Sweet, then every commercial break he could say "We'll be back in two and two"....
  4. i'd be screwed! Christ, I didn't think I'd make it when they cut CBS from the TW line up...
  5. I can't believe no one's ever thought of it. Brilliant, Git'r done Russ...
  6. I HATE ALL THESE IDIOTIC POSTS THAT STATE THE SAME DAMN THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AND I HATE POSTS IN ALL CAPS... Hmmm, I feel better already...
  7. If the Bills were 5-0 would you post this? The reason I ask is, what would be different other than their record? Absolutely nothing, the Bills would be in the same situation. The only difference would be the fans attitude. We've been talking about them possibly moving for years, nothing new here.
  8. Probably a good thing as the link properties states fat-woman.jpg.
  9. I agree 100%!! Oh wait, are you talking about DJ or the billboard?
  10. My personal feeling is that "A" is a little weak and you probably feel that way due to the other factors. As far as loaning your car, I would never do that. You could get royally screwed if anything were to happen. And D can be easily resolved, just let them know your schedule, and give them the number for a taxi service if they take too long. Or plan a certain day and time of the week to designate as shopping night or something. So, the main concern IMO is gas money. So I would just say to them, I have no problem giving you guys a ride (provided I have the time) as long as you chip in for gas. Maybe all the return money from the beer can go towards gas or something. It shouldn't be that big of an issue, you're only talking a couple bucks a week per person. But not taking them anywhere is guaranteed to piss them off....
  11. Saw him interviewed on ESPN this morning. I am too young to have had the pleasure to watch those teams he coached. But actually, I was just talking about him at the Bills tailgate this weekend with some guys. And they weren't sure how great of a basketball coach he was, strictly from an x's and o's perspective, just because UCLA back in that era was the place to be. No recruiting necessary, all the talent was lined up. They were stacked with the best players year after year. But still a lot of coaches might not have been as successful, even with all that talent. His character and ability to manage ego's probably went a long way with those teams. He just sounds like an all around good guy.
  12. Um, it's still his system...
  13. That makes the most sense, so basically it's not going to happen...
  14. If Buckhalter plays, he's been getting the touches. If not then if Lewis is out, I would go Harrison.
  15. From the Buffalo News: Bell expects to play Demetrius Bell said he participated in most of Wednesday's practice and he expects to start at left tackle for the Bills against Cleveland Sunday. Officially, Bell is listed as limited in participation. Defensive tackle John McCargo (calf) was limited. So was Jairus Byrd (hip). Bryan Scott, Donte Whitner, Paul Posluszny and Chris Ellis did not participate. Ellis' mother died, and he is not expected back with the team this practice week. At the end of Wednesday's practice in the fieldhouse, the Bills sereneded coach Dick Jauron with a happy birthday song. Jauron turned 59 today. RIP Mrs. Ellis...
  16. Lately, this applies to just about every new topic on this board...
  17. I think it's ridiculous. Unemployment is high enough as it is, can you imagine if everyone that sucked at their job resigned? It's just not going to happen...
  18. Well if 2 quotes are very similar, there's a pretty good chance it is regarding the same thing IMO. But I am usually not on a witch hunt on this board, so I can't relate with most of the posters here. I just try to use logic and common sense, my bad...
  19. That was definitely in reference to the 2 sacks he allowed. He screwed up for 2 plays, in his opinion, and admitted it. It sounds bad, be he is taking responsibility his poor plays... That's for sure. I am not defending his play, just his comment.
  20. Dude, read all the posts. I'll re-post, the first post is very misleading... First of all, let's give all the facts before we crucify this guy. The quote was in regards to the job he was doing against Jason Taylor for 3.5 quarters and he is explaining why he got beat on a couple plays against him late in the 4th quarter. This is the quote from the Buffalo News: "He's a Pro Bowler," Scott said of Taylor. "I was doing fine for the first three quarters, but I messed up on my technique on two plays. I got a little lazy and he took advantage of it. I just got to look in the mirror and see how I can get better to help this team get some victories." I am not happy he lost focus or got lazy, but just going by the above quote and no other facts, it sounds more like he just gave up. Which is not the case...

  22. Dave Allan at large, iirc... used to sit on a chair drinking scotch, smoking a cigarette, and tell jokes... here's one I remember: An Irishman on a deserted island discovers a lantern on the beach, upon rubbing the lantern, a Genie appears and grants the man 3 wishes. Genie - What is you first wish? Irishman - Well I haven't had anything to drink in days and I am thirsty, I could really use a beer And just like that he is holding a frosted mug full of beer. He chugs the beer and to his amazement the mug fills right back up. Irishman - how did that happen? Genie - It's a magic mug, it will refill itself when you finish it. Genie - Now, what would you like for your other 2 wishes? Irishman - I'll take 2 more of these....
  23. Big Ben and the Steelers O line will be part of Monday night raw tonight. There was quite and uproar in Pitt, because when it was announced they were still 1-2. But the players have life's too, if they do not have practice on Tuesday, I see no problem...
