  1. What would a strong end of the season do for the Bills organization and fans? Renew faith in DJ? Renew faith in TE's? Renew faith in the FO? Not a chance. This is not a playoff caliber team, this isn't even a middle of the pack team. DJ must go and the only way he goes is if he continues to lose. I will root for them to win the rest of the year and will be bitterly disappointed every time they lose, but that's my heart talking. I know in my head that losing the rest of the way is the only hope of them getting better next season... For the record I chose both options....
  2. The Packers lowest point total this season is 21 and average around 26 per game, their main problem is their defense is giving up more. GB has a good QB and a terrible O-line. Which leads me to believe that a good QB can still put up points and be effective behind a poor O-line. The Bills have a poor O-line and a bad QB, a lethal combination. There is no comparison between these 2 teams...
  3. It's a wide open race now that Rodney Harrison is out of the league...
  4. Definitely not safe to say, I don't think we can let him off the hook that easily. While I do agree the DJ should get most of the blame for being so conservative and keeping the offense simple, Turk does not get off the hook that easily. But it is ultimately DJ's call to keep hiring guys with no NFL OC experience, so you get what you pay for.
  5. The Bills offense has been predictable the past couple years. It just doesn't make sense. I understand that it's not possible to completely change the plays and formations at this point and time. We are stuck with Turk's offense, plain and simple. But I would think some tweaks can be made. I know the Bills went through OTA's and training camp learning this particular system and maybe I don't know enough about running and offense, but IMO some changes to formations or adding motion shouldn't be that difficult...
  6. I don't even know what to say about the bolded comment, other than, been there done that...
  7. Last year they won games they should have lost and this year they lost a couple they should have won. It appears as though Jeffvon Gil was injured on his last long run, he probably runs out the clock if he stays in the game. He had an awesome game and he enters the game because 2 UB RB's go down in the game. UB has been cursed with injuries this year and still are playing tough. Turner Gill is one heck of a coach. A UB loss wouldn't have been posted anywhere a few years ago...
  8. We knew that coming into the season, he proved it last year with the Bungles. The unfortunate thing is the we learned is that TE's is a backup as well...
  9. Ok let's not get carried away here, he is not a great columnist. he writes what most fans are thinking, so his columns do hit home. But I've heard the same conversation at the tailgate's as well as on this board, he just relay's the message to a bigger audience. We can take a dozen of today's posts a put together that article. Not too hard to be critical of this coaching staff, the owner, the front office, and the team at the moment...
  10. IMO some of the least football knowledgeable fans are the ones who call into the talk shows. Don't lose sleep over it because 3-5 callers aren't as educated as yourself, and 3-5 callers are certainly not the majority of Bills fans. Although at this point and time, there may not be too many more. So maybe your title should be "A giant misconception by some fans" as it is a giant misconception that you believe 3-5 callers equal all Bills fans...
  11. Because they had already signed "hangman" to play center, so they drafted a center to play guard. They thought they were set at tackle, so they drafted a tackle to fill a whole at guard. They drafted a corner to play safety. Once they had that locked up, they then could draft a safety to play LB. What's so confusing? Pass the medicine please...
  12. That's been my costume the last 10 years...
  13. I was thinking the same thing, expect for the last couple of statements. If Ralph was smart he would bring Bruce out with him for the ceremony...
  14. There will be 70,000 people at the Ralph this Sunday. Some will boo, some will clap, and some will leave the bowl area during half time. I will not boo Ralph nor do I think he should be boo'd, but I will be in the latter group and I hope most follow. A mostly empty stadium during his speech should speak volumes more than any amount of booing. So be prepared to be ashamed or embarrassed or whatever crap comments were made by some high horse posters, because I can guarantee there will be some, probably several thousand, that will indeed boo Ralph and they will be heard. Heck, if TE's had gotten hurt at home, there would have been some that cheered. Not that it's right, it's just the way it is. 70,000 people with varying degree's of ethical behavior and intoxication. Just don't lump as all together as is done all too often on this board!!! GO BILLS...
  15. It's $20 for all 4, do you think anyone would pay $20 per? And from what I understand TW is going to carry most of the Sabres games in HD. All of the home and most of the road games. But no NFL network...
  16. I may go as far as 4/5, I like Bell and Meredith. Maybe I am too optimistic, but I think they have potential. They were thrown into a tough situation that they weren't ready for and I believe they will improve...
  17. Well said. I can see some potential in this offense, give this line a full year of experience and get a real QB in Buffalo and a new HC and who knows...of course that may be asking for too much, but at least the line will be more experiences next year...
  18. It's close enough, heck, last week there were many empty seat costumes in Carolina...
  19. Correct, when he plays on Friday it will officially count as the first year of his pro contract. He is still eligible to be returned to his junior team, but cannot be assigned to Portland.
  20. I say we all follow you, let's all walk out of our seats. Let him give his speech to an empty stadium, that would say a lot more than booing...
  21. Oh, so there's an asterisk next to your other post...got it...You Buffalo bashers are all the same.
  22. So that's why there are so many Patsie fans at the Ralph when the Bills host NE....
  23. Got back late last night and feeling it at work today, should have taken a couple more days off... Anyway, we hit the Town Tavern on Saturday at about 6pm and stayed all night. Great time! They played the shout song quite a bit and had the Sabres game on, which was a plus. The place went crazy when the Sabres tied it up and won it in the shoot out. Saw Chris Brown and the Bud Light dude, talked to them briefly. They have a 5 "shot" contest (they were much bigger than normal shots), where they mix up these concoctions and you have to down them within 5 minutes to get your name on the wall, of course everyone in our group had to do it! So Sunday I wake up feeling like crap and we head for downtown Charlotte around noon. We hit a place called Picasso's Sports Cafe on 3rd and Church for some lunch and pre-game festivities. Hung out there for a while and then hit a friends tailgate in one of the lots close to the stadium. Pretty good time, but just not the same atmosphere as the Ralph. Even walking to the game was really quiet, if it weren't for the Bills fans hooting and hollering on the way in, it would have been completely quiet. The stadium was pretty nice, it had a huge concourse which made it very easy to get around. We sat in the end zone and were surrounded by Bills fans. It was great to see that kind of turn out for the Bills fans. Only a couple Panther fans were causing issues, but for the most part they were really cool. the seats were pretty tight though, I am a pretty good size guy and I was snug, but my buddy who's a very big guy was another story. It was great to come out of there with the victory. I loved it at the end of the game when the Bills were going to take a knee to kill the clock, Lee Evens was raising his arms, encouraging all the Bills fans in our end zone to get up. So they definitely heard us!! After the game we hit a couple bars and ended up at the Town again. It was a very good trip, I will be there next time the Bills are in town for sure...
