  1. The Bills had 2 choices April or Fewell. Pick your poison, whoever fills it won't be in that position next year anyway. Call the whinner line...
  2. I don't think any of us truly knows who does what in the Bills orginization, it's all messed up. Russ is not the GM, he is the COO, or as Ralph said "he's a C something". There is no one in the Bills organization with the sole title of GM. That's how ridiculous the Bills front office is. Brandon is not a football guy, so I would be surprised if he had final say in any player move. He is however a very bright guy and does a good job in non-football related items, the Bills just need to bring a quality GM to handle the player evaluation side.
  3. Read his name quite a bit here since the firing of DJ. I don't think he's their best possibility, but he is in the discussion.
  4. 1. No chance. I don't think he's been a distraction anyway. 2. Nope, we already know that he can't play. But it doesn't matter since the Bills have no one else, so might as well play Trent the rest of the season. 3. Nope, I think Josh is playing well. Just find more plays for Johnson and Hardy. Although with no one to throw them the ball, can we determine their skills? 4. Absolutely no way. He hasn't played contact football in a couple years, coming off surgery, and he is going be ready to play right away? ridiculous. 5. Agree, but i would move him around and not just OLB. 6. Agree, been saying that all year long. 7. Definitely! 8. Brandon does much more than you think, but he should handle all non-football related items and bring a true GM in for football decisions.
  5. That's an oldie, but a classic...
  6. Sweet, does DH Gate have Klpfensein jerseys available yet?
  7. I agree! Russ is a very smart man and I would have no issues with him as President. The problem is most fans associate Russ with being the current Bills GM, when in fact the Bills current structure does not have anyone with the GM title alone (Leave it to the Bills to come up with this ridiculous structure). Plus he is much more than just a marketing guy. As long as he leaves the football decisions to the new GM, I would have no issues with this move.
  8. They have been sitting on stub hub since the start of the season...
  9. yeah, the NFL flexed that game....
  10. A friend of mine bought the series and is taking a beating. He has pretty nice seats, first row of the upper deck in the corner of the end zone, but can't sell them and they are $150 per ticket. He had to eat the pre-season tickets and sold last years for $30 apiece! I put them up on The Trading Post forum asking for best offer to help him out, but doubt I will get any replies...
  11. There is a reason the Quinn dropped so far down in the draft, I remember actually feeling sorry for him as team after team passed him up...
  12. The season opener is the freshest "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" loss... I still wish the Bills would have kicked a FG, after NE put their starting defense back in the game, to avoid the shutout in the closing seconds of that game...
  13. Trent has difficulty hitting his own receivers consistently, what makes anyone think he can get the ball to an opposing DB that easily?
  14. You're on the right track with a vindictive person in the Bills organization. He was on the Houston Oilers coaching staff for the 1992-1993 comeback game and still holds a grudge. He vowed after that game to stick it to the Bills and has been doing it since he was hired as director of pro personnel in 2001. Damn John Guy, get over it!!!!!
  15. Ok I had to drink heavily to endure this game, but I thought Fred Jackson returned the 61 yard attempt? Other than that I have to agree with most of your post, including the cheerleaders, they were the highlight of the game...
  16. That's depends on what you call rock bottom. While the Lions have been losing for as long as the Bills, last season's 0-16 was truly rock bottom. Which allowed them to draft Stafford, the future depends on him. If he's a star, they can build around him, and the Lions will be good in the next couple years. If he's a bust, they will continue to suffer. The Bills need to draft a stud QB, will their draft position afford them to do that? Have the Bills hit rock bottom? I freakin' hope so...
  17. We must stop the super long run, probably can get away with a long run or two, but the super long runs will kill us...
  18. A little edit...Makes it more believable, other than that....
  19. Exactly...Rodgers would go from very good to an elite QB with a good O-line. The problem is that Trent would go from bad to not as bad with a good O-line. A good QB is still good with a bad line. It's not like the pass blocking breaks down on every single play for the Bills, Trent has had time to throw at times. There should be a huge difference in his decisions when he has time as opposed to when he is blitzed, but there isn't...
  20. Well that settles it, next.... While I am not ready to declare Maybin a bust, look at the difference when you don't miss in the first round... 2001 19 Casey Hampton DT Texas [l] 2002 30 Kendall Simmons G Auburn 2003 16 Troy Polamalu DB USC [m] 2004 11 Ben Roethlisberger QB Miami (OH) 2005 30 Heath Miller TE Virginia 2006 25 Santonio Holmes WR Ohio State [n] 2007 15 Lawrence Timmons LB Florida State 2008 23 Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois 2009 32 Evander Hood DT Missouri Pittsburgh has a great front office and the Bills have a mess....
  21. Must be less severe, only a quarter suspension. Eye gouge is a half...
  22. Very true! That's DJ for you, Byrd wouldn't have seen much playing time had it not been for all the secondary injuries...
