The non-challange by Gailey?
ricojes replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The TD call was correct, but should have been offensive pass interference. Looked like Rice grabbed McKelvin's shoulder pad in order to position himself for the catch... -
Thought this might be from God...

What will be really interesting to see is who is out there that's not infected? How wide spread is the epidemic, is it worldwide? What gov't agencies are still functioning? Just how many weapons are still readily available? We really don't know how long Rick was in his coma, so most weapons and ammunition could be scarce. Just the City of Atlanta alone was overrun with zombies, when they panned out it was just amazing. So you would need quite and arsenal to take all of them out... Another good story line will be the whole kill an infected love one vs let them live and hope they find a cure. Will they finish off the people that were just bit at the camp or will they let them turn into zombies? It's such a farfetched circumstance that you can't even put yourself in their shoes really. What would you do? I like to think I know, but damn that's got to be crazy. Would I think with my head and try to find heavy artillery all the while zombies are closing in on me or would I just try to save my ass and get the heck out of there? I am not even going to pretend I am that macho, I would get the bleep out of there. The writer tried to cram everything from his comic book into the first 6 episodes, because he wasn't sure if it would be renewed and he wanted to tell a story. So now that they signed on for another season and a much longer season, I think many questions will be answered, of course I said that about Lost too....

If the tank ran, that would one of the best places to be. But how many people know how to drive a tank, is it easy? i doubt there's just a key you turn, but i have no idea. If it doesn't run, it's probably not a place where you would feel safe. Yes, they wouldn't be able to get in, but how do you know when to get out? I have been trying to think what would be the best place to be, probably on an island by boat or something. but in the city, that's tough. As far as Merrill, . Only 2 more episodes to go unfortunately, Dec. 5th in the season finale. And the next season probably won't pick up until the fall. So far it's been interesting and engaging, I am looking forward to next season already...

That guy just needs to learn how to tackle, plain and simple. He's a beast on the field, but you can't lead with you helmet. They did a piece on Inside the NFL after his 2 penalty game and he said he was taught to tackle leading with the helmet and then either slide off left or right depending on where you hit the guy. Warren Sapp couldn’t believe he said that, said that's definitely not the proper technique to tackle. It's pretty obvious it's a very dangerous technique for Harrison as well. Whether he leads with his facemask or his helmet, it doesn't matter when the crown of the helmet ends up in the QB's chin. He is going to rack up one heck of a total in fines during his career if he continues to lead with the helmet...

Woodhead is listed as wr/rb in our league...

Huge week, 1st place on the line. I am set with Brady at QB, I have GB as my D, and Gould as my kicker.. This is where is gets tough: PPR league WR - Roddy White WR#2 - Choice between: Danny Woodhead - putting up points every week and, with Brady as QB) could get double points if he catches a TD... Sidney Rice - targeted 10 times in his first game back, ended up with 3 rec for 54 yards. Other receivers banged up, could have a nice week. RB - Adrian Peterson RB#2- Choice between: Darren McFadden - Miami D ranked #20 against the run.. Matt Forte - Getting more touches lately, playing and incosistant Eagle D... Keiland Williams - Portis & Torain out, he's going to get a lot of touches, but going against Minnesota... TE - Dustin Keller or V Shaincoe, both struggling. might be better off picking up Gronkowski... Flex - Any one of the WR's or RB's not picked... I have been back and forth too many times on what combination to play. What say you????

In order to pay $12,000 in taxes in Amherst, the house would be about $450,000. But it would be huge and very nice, probably 4000 sq ft, with top of the line everything. I am about half that, the Williamsville school district is a where a big chunk of my taxes go. As for jobs, it's really starting to pick up in the Buffalo area. I am in the computer field and for the first time in a long time, there are options. I have a good job with a good company now, but always looking...

Either way it doesn't change the talent on the field. I did like Fewell. I liked his energy and I like the way the guys played for him. But they are playing very hard for Chan, there is just not enough talent.

Need Help - In Town for the Lions Game
ricojes replied to Corn Bread's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you're in your 40's, then Chipewa is not the place for you. That's a college section of town. There are a ton of bars, but gets pretty crazy as the night goes on. You might want to take a walk through to check out the scenery and have a few drinks early during the Sabres game, but I wouldn't spend the majority of the night there. Your best bet is Elmwood, Allentown, or near the HSBC arena. Hit Jim's Steakout for a late night snack and the Towne for breakfast, you will not be disappointed! For Dinner there are a lot of great restaurants, I've actually heard good things about the restaurant in the Holiday Inn. But Gabriel's Gate, Mother's, Fat Bob's, Colter Bay, or Cole's are all good. As far as tailgating without a grill, just stop at Wegman's before the game and get a sub and some snacks. Their subs are outstanding and huge and yes, beer is sold at 8am, so no worries. I haven't been out in downtown Buffalo on a Sunday night in years, I have no idea what kind of crowd they get. But the bars around the Stadium are busy for a few hours after the game, so that may be your best bet. What section are you guys in? -

I never cared at all for his "lights out" routine after a sack. Geez, you have to go all the way back to Bruce for a Bill that did some sort of a sack dance. Of course there haven't been a lot of sacks for the Bills since Bruce left. Shoebel had some, but never got excited about anything. Act like you've been there... -
Perry Fewell Assistant Coach of the Year
ricojes replied to HarkinBanks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
HC would have been the only option with the Bills. I don't think he would have accepted a demotion to DC after being interim head coach. That being the case, he wouldn't have been the DC, so we really don't know how good of a HC he would have been. But we do know he is a pretty good DC, working with a very good Giants D this season. Good for him... -
Buffalo fans talk with forked tongue??
ricojes replied to The Wang From Sang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if he plays poorly, he's going to get and invite to some teams training camp... -
Now that's what Bufflao needs! Downtown Buffalo is like a wind tunnel, especially around the HSBC tower, of course there aren't enough occupied buildings to connect bridges. Pittsburgh really rebuilt the city, it used to be on par with Buffalo and now it blows Buffalo away. To much politics into getting anything done in Buffalo, lot's of good idea's, but all shot down once gov't gets involved...

Cost of living or average home prices would be my guess according to this article. And people think Buffalo is cold, Minneapolis is brutal. Although weather obviously did not factor into this equation...

I heard it on the news yesterday and thought for sure it would be posted here! But I guess since they are not completely slamming Buffalo, it wasn't... Link...

Actually, that's all you needed to list. -
No no no, it's all Perry Fewell. How can we B word about the Bills using that logic?
