paper powerhouse's is what Madden is all about and Philly must be monsters in a video game, although I do expect Philly to make the playoffs in actual football this year...
-
Absolutely not, they look good on paper, but haven't proven anything on the field. Wasn't Philadelphia ranked #1 overall last season because of their off season moves?

UPDATE: QB Vince Young Signs With Buffalo Bills
ricojes replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills signed a potential backup QB that was a backup QB this past season. If they signed a starting QB from this past season, there may be reason for concern (see NYJ). But he’s coming in with expectations of competing for the backup QB position. So what’s the big deal? If VY makes the final roster, the top 3 draft picks from the 2006 draft will be on the same field when we play Miami. As well as the Bills 2 first round picks of that year gone... -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill

Hells yeah...I'll be there tonight, that would be great! -
I have Hasselbeck, Cassel, Tebow, and Palmer... Hassselbeck has been putting up good numbers all year and they're coming off a bye. But I think they may try to establish the run more and give it to CJ2K a ton. Cassel has a really good matchup, the Raiders give up a lot of yards to QB's and he's coming off a 4 TD passing game. Plus KC has no running game, so they will be throwing a lot. Tebow is ranked high this week by NFL.com and ESPN fantasy guru's, but I just don't trust the play this week. But he may very well be my best option. Palmer is just too green. He hasn't played in over a year and has 3 days practice under his belt. Also, next week due to bye's, I have to drop 1 of these QB's. Who is least likely to help me the remainder of the year?
-
Palmer is going to play, but that's a risky play. Palmer in 3 weeks coming off of a bye is a good play, but coming off 3 days practice is tough. McCoy has a nice matchup, but he's been disappointing all year. Painter has been putting up really good numbers this year. And NO is really tough against the run, so they will be throwing a lot. I would be leaning towards Painter, with McCoy a close second.

Win your home games and split on the road is the recipe for the playoffs in the NFL. All games are basically big games in a 16 game schedule, but a win this week would really boost their confidence on the road. Considering they are pretty much on the road 5 out of the next 6 games, I don't count Toronto as home game, this really is a big game. GO BILLS!!!

I like Fitz, but a franchise QB, I don't know. And my definition of franchise, is signing him to a 6+ year contract. He's been fortunate, he got away with a couple passes that should have been intercepted in the Oakland game. And one really bad pass in the NE game that was called pass interference. The Bills could easily be 1-2, but are 3-0 and winning is really all that matters. If I were the Bills, I would sign Fitz to a 3-4 year contract extension and if there is a QB they really like in the draft, take him and groom him under Fitz. if not, no hurry to find one.

We Will Make the Playoffs if We Beat the Pats

After the Bills win this week, it will be a huge step in the right direction, but they still will have a lot of work to do. I would not proclaim them playoff bound. But I would say, if the Bills go 4-2 in the division or better, they make the playoffs. Split with the Patsies, Jests, and sweep the fish! If they can do that, it will be one fun season. GO BILLS!!!! -
Attrition, 2 games played; 4 men down

I really don't think they have more injuries than other teams, but it seems like they are quick to IR players more than other teams. I follow no other teams as closely as the Bills, so I don't know how other teams work. But do other teams IR a player that has a twisted ankle? Out 2-3 weeks and your put on IR? Does this come from lack of depth? If you're a young player, you're going to play hurt that's for sure, or you're done for the year... -
That being said, it still most likely will be someone's last Bills game....So enjoy your last Bills game someone and bring the noise!!! GO BILLS!!!
-
With 70,000 people in attendance, odds are it will be someone's last Bills game. If that's the case, give it all you have, yell and make as much noise as possible, I can guarantee I will not have a voice on Monday...

I would plan on getting to ECC very early on Sunday, I think a lot of past lot parking folks will be heading over there. As for the parking in the Ralph lots, it shouldn't matter too much unless you usually meet up with other tailgaters.

Doesn't Matter If Bills Were Lucky or Good
ricojes replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, Byrd first punched at the ball and then somehow is leg got in there. But the bottom line is Pope didn't control the ball after the catch. You can clearly see that he tucked it under his right arm when going down and after Byrd's contact it ended up in his left hand, a very easy call for the officials. Another big play was 3rd and 1 with time running out in the 1st quarter. Fred gets hit well behind the line of scrimmage and still manages to get the first. The Bills then kill the clock and don't give the ball back to KC right after coming off a score. It's the little things that win ball games and that is a perfect example of it...GO BILLS! -
If the Bills have success ON field, they'll have no problem selling merchandise OFF field... Yes, I know it's crayons....just sayin!

Doesn't Matter If Bills Were Lucky or Good

Can't wait until Sunday! I would have been pumped for the home opener even if they loss, but coming off a road win makes it even sweeter! I am enjoying every minute of this win and wasn't even going to post today, because of all the 'it's only 1 game', 'wait until they play at least 8 games', or 'the Chiefs suck', buzz kill posters. But you know what, it doesn't even bother me today. To beat any team 41-7 in the NFL is freaking impressive, no matter what the talent level of the opponent may be....Bring the noise on Sunday....GO BILLS! -
Exactly! That was one of the most idiotic comments I read today...They were looking past their season opening opponent at home...
-
Not taking anything away from the Patsie's performance, they are a very very good team. But they are one of the only teams that installs a full game plan for pre-season games. I think the Bucs would play them more evenly in the regular season, the Patsie's still win, but not in a route...

Who is Patrick Moran? Supposedly major news.

Round 1, Pick 11: AARON MAYBIN, DE, Penn State
ricojes replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan 2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What was interesting to me is that Nix said not only was Maybin too small to play the position, but he also wasn't strong enough. That comment jumped out immediately to me, anyone know his combine 225 reps? and where he stacked? It just blows my mind that our former regime thought so highly of this guy for speed alone... -
Chicago looking for a new blocking/tackling dummy

So to summarize the article...paying $757,500 for a "pass rushing specialist", who has 0 sacks in his 2 year career, isn't a bad deal...Got to love that logic...
