  1. 1st of all, Kolb will be the starter, if he can stay healthy, for most, if not all of this season. And second, the Bills canl pick up a TE with experience if they choose to do so, there will be lot's of cuts before training camp begins. No need to worry just yet.
  2. I like the pick. Don't need to explain why, most here have their opinions and they won't change no matter what I write. I don't believe he's ready to step in and play immediately, but that's why they signed Kolb. He has time to watch and learn and be eased into the system. I thought it was a great 1st round for the Bills, looking forward to this evenings picks.
  3. I think they way the NFL has it set up now is appealing to more people. The 1st round is highlighted, the picks are quicker, and it's prime time. Even the average NFL fan will now watch the 1st round. I usually watch the 1st and 2nd rounds and then just watch the Bills picks on the 3rd day.
  4. Going to RWS. I feel as anxious as I do before an actual game...
  5. At first glance I think, wow, we are in trouble losing all those starters. But then the more I think about it, it's wow, how did the Bills win any games with those starters. Other than Livitre, the rest are average players at best. Uhg, so frustrating...This team has so far to go...
  6. personally, I think the no contact is over exaggerated. I believe the Bills probably contacted AL's agent at some point and time and simply asked the number. My guess is it was probably at least 6 mil and up. If the Bills were thinking 4 mil max or something, is it more of an insult to contact AL and offer well below his asking price or not to contact him directly at all. I don't know which is worse, but I truly believe the Bills knew he was priced out of their budget. And it also makes the player look less greedy if he says there was no contact. If he comes out and says they wouldn't give me enough, he's alienated by the fans...
  7. Levitre was a good player and a big loss, but their is no way the Bills could nor should pay 7mil+ per season for a guard, they may not even pay that for a OT. So, I believe knowing that is why most on this board accept it.
  8. Yes, I would give up on the season. The Titan game was huge. I had then at 4-5 after this week with an easier schedule, at least on paper, ahead of them. But if they can somehow upset the Patsie's, I'll be back. I'll still go to the games and yell like a mad man at home games for the rest of the year, but won't expect the F***ing playoff drought to end this year...
  9. that was the rumor floating around training camp and I think there may have been a story in the BN's as well. of course, there was also a rumor that NIx was retiring after the 2012 draft. But if it were to happen, it might be a good move for the Bills. Bring in Whaley and a new coach. It's been a few years, we're about due for a rebuilding phase...
  10. 1. Front office for putting this D together... 2. No quality LB's, need a very good MLB in a 4-3 and we don't even have an average one. Too much faith in Moats as well, good situational player, but not an every down player. 3. CB's, A. Williams is lost out there. he may be good someday, but is not ready now. Should have kept DF, dumb move. 4. Safeties - GW is not a very good safety, he's not horrible, but far from being very good. on the last TD, Ten made him look like a fool by splitting routes. And what does he do? just stays right in the middle until it was too late to do anything. at least make a decision and help one of the coverages! 5. D-Line, but i can't fault the front office for this. these guys should be playing better! i am surprised at the lack of productivity. 6. Coaching 7. Fitz 8. WR depth
  11. I've lost faith in Chan, but I am still undecided on the 2 point conversion. It's a call that's only good if you win the game and easy to criticize when you lose. If you go for 2 and make it, all is great. if you miss, you're up 5 with a whole quarter to play. Ten gets a quick FG and the last drive is a game winning FG instead of a TD. I don't blame the outcome of the game on that decision, there were too many other things that contributed to the loss...
  12. How could I forget about the Bandits! Went to a few championship games, but the 1st one at the Aud was the best....
  13. I did go to the International Bowl and several games that season, it was a great ride and so much fun...
  14. Those are my top 3 as well... But I am a Celtics fan, so there have been a few there. I love watching college sports and used to follow teams, but I really don't have a favorite team anymore. When my college team won or lost, it was like...meh, no big deal. And when they won, even the national championship, it was just an ok feeling. If I attended the school it would be different. So, I follow local teams like UB closer than any other college team, but I'll always watch a good game and actually enjoy it more without a vested interest...

  16. \Gave him props in another thread, quietly having a solid season to date...
  17. Positives: The Defensive line played well, generated a lot of pressure. Byrd with 2 nice picks Moore played well Buffalo gets a big W on the road against a tough team which had won 8 straight home games Banged up O line played well Leodis Mckelvin quietly having a nice season so far. Negatives: Fitz was inconsistent again. no touch on the deep ball and missed some wide open receivers. I literally held my breath every time he dropped back to pass late in that game Freddy with another fumble LB's are weak. Sheppard is either not ready or not good enough to be a MLB in the NFL. many bad coaching decisions, wild cat interception should have cost them the game. Defense still looks confused at times. McGee played zone against LF when he should have been in man late in the game. Seems to be happening a lot this year.
  18. I've said for years, if the Bills ever win a SB, there will be a "The Bills won the SB, BUT..." post on this site. Some people are never happy. To me a W is a W and it's a much happier Monday. Mario did dominate a weaker opponent and he did have a good game. Does he need to do this on a consistent basis, regardless of the opponent? YES!
  19. It's just the way this board is... The Bills won, BUT.... Mario played well, BUT... Or whatever positive, BUT... I can't say I blame most who do this, being a Bills fan will beat you down! BUT, I still Billieve...
  20. Actually it looked like he was in pain much of the game, I saw get up slow holding the wrist several times. But he needed to dominate a weak offensive tackle and he was double teamed by the FB and RB most of the game. Great game for Mario regardless of the opponent, now lets do that against the Patsie's. Off topic, I was watching the GB/Hou game and the Bills really need a play making LB. I was so jealous watching Clay Mathews run all over the field. Unfortunately the Bills have starting LB's that would barely make most rosters.
  21. Exactly, can you imagine the parties? I have been saying that for years.....We used to host a SB party, but everyone bailed immediately after the game ended (for obvious reasons). Having it on a Saturday would be an all day and night party...
  22. Super Bowl Saturday....What a party that would be!
  23. They sing about forgetting the past and then later sing "let's get back to the days of Marv and Kelly" (or something like that). You can't have it both ways. But other than that .....Can't wait until Sunday....Let's Go Buffalooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
