They knew she wasn't right in the head and they kept leaving her alone....

Just re-watched and he was sitting on the can with his pants on. We did hear what sounded like someone getting tortured downstairs. It was difficult to hear what they were saying, so I used CC and this is the dialog: Man - Oh, God! (sounded like he was in pain) Man #3 - You plan on finishing the job? Man #2 - Yeah. Man #4 - I'm getting an earache, and I know he's just going to let his ass squeal Man #2 - After what he did, the man deserves to bleed Then the one dude (Man #4) walks upstairs. I have no idea how accurate the Man 2,3, and 4 is, but that's what was listed on CC. So, maybe this guy is avoiding everyone? These guys don't seem like very pleasant people, so whatever the one guy did, must have been pretty bad. My guess is they will meet up again at the "Safe haven" that Rick and Company are heading to...

So since the Lions D "under Schwartz" finished 16th, 13th, 23rd, 21st, and 32nd, it really doesn't matter, because the Bills D "under Marrone" finished 8th. So we're good...

Vanek is the better talent by far, even though the last few seasons the numbers are close. But the timing is great for the Islanders. If Vanek doesn't fit with the team, they can try to deal him at the deadline. I think it's a good move by both teams, 1 trying for immediate impact and the other banking on future returns.

Good trade, as long as they sign Moulson. And you absolutely cannot wait until the trade deadline, too risky since you cannot trade a hurt player. I like the move and the timing...

Is it too early to give Buddy credit for last draft class?
ricojes replied to tedstrong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said after the draft that this could be the draft the turns the Bills around. This is the starting point of the turn around, took many years, but it's finally here! Now that's assuming they keep the momentum with more good drafts and FA pickups, if so, playoffs next year....GO BILLS!!! -
His story would make for a really good movie... http://www.wemusprod...l/moe_berg.html ESPN Classic link: http://espn.go.com/classic/biography/s/Berg_Moe.html Different article, no link: A second-rate baseball player but a first-rate spy. When baseball greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig went on tour in baseball-crazy Japan in 1934, some fans wondered why a third-string catcher named Moe Berg was included. The answer was simple: Berg was a US spy. Speaking 15 languages—including Japanese—Moe Berg had two loves: baseball and spying. In Tokyo, garbed in a kimono, Berg took flowers to the daughter of an American diplomat being treated in St. Luke’s Hospital--the tallest building in the Japanese capital. He never delivered the flowers. The ball-player ascended to the hospital roof and filmed key features: the harbor, military installations, railway yards, etc. Eight years later, General Jimmy Doolittle studied Berg’s films in planning his spectacular raid on Tokyo. Berg’s father, Bernard Berg, a pharmacist in Newark, New Jersey, taught his son Hebrew and Yiddish. Moe, against his wishes, began playing baseball on the street aged four. His father disapproved and never once watched his son play. In Barringer High School, Moe learned Latin, Greek and French. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton—having added Spanish, Italian, German and Sanskrit to his linguistic quiver, During further studies at the Sorbonne, in Paris, and Columbia Law School he picked up Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Arabic, Portuguese and Hungarian—15 languages in all, plus some regional dialects. While playing baseball for Princeton University, Moe Berg would describe plays in Latin or Sanskrit. Tito’s partisans During World War II, he was parachuted into Yugoslavia to assess the value to the war effort of the two groups of partisans there. He reported back that Marshall Tito’s forces were widely supported by the people and Winston Churchill ordered all-out support for the Yugoslav underground fighter, rather than Mihajlovic’s Serbians. The parachute jump at age 41 undoubtedly was a challenge. But there was more to come in that same year. Berg penetrated German-held Norway, met with members of the underground and located a secret heavy water plant—part of the Nazis’ effort to build an atomic bomb. His information guided the Royal Air Force in a bombing raid to destroy the plant. There still remained the question of how far had the Nazis progressed in the race to build the first Atomic bomb. If the Nazis were successful, they would win the war. Berg (under the code name “Remus”) was sent to Switzerland to hear leading German physicist Werner Heisenberg, a Nobel Laureate, lecture and determine if the Nazis were close to building an A-bomb. Moe managed to slip past the SS guards at the auditorium, posing as a Swiss graduate student. The spy carried in his pocket a pistol and a cyanide pill. If the German indicated the Nazis were close to building a weapon, Berg was to shoot him—and then swallow the cyanide pill. Moe, sitting in the front row, determined that the Germans were nowhere near their goal, so he complimented Heisenberg on his speech and walked him back to his hotel. Moe Berg’s report was distributed to Britain’s Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, President Franklin D. Roosevelt and key figures in the team developing the Atomic Bomb. Roosevelt responded: “Give my regards to the catcher.” Most of Germany’s leading physicists had been Jewish and had fled the Nazis mainly to Britain and the United States. After the war, Moe Berg was awarded the Medal of Merit— America’s highest honor for a civilian in wartime. But Berg refused to accept, as he couldn’t tell people about his exploits. After his death, his sister accepted the Medal and it hangs in the Baseball Hall of Fame, in Cooperstown, NY.

Good first episode. They had to introduce almost a whole new story line. Last season, they were scared for their lives every single day, whether it be from zombies or humans. This season starts where everyone is comfortable, it's a happy little village. The zombies aren't threats when your inside the compound, just annoying. Everything on the inside is running smooth. But outside it appears to be getting worse, food supply is very limited, zombies are more aggressive, humans are losing their sanity, now the threat of disease that's killing animals and, as shown in the last scene, people. It sets the stage for episodes to come, where it most likely will lead to the crew being on the run again...

Marrone would have been put in the Gailey category on this board had he gone for the FG. The play call was the issue, that was a 1st or 2nd down call. I would have ran the ball with Fred again. I don't think there are too many coaches that would have kicked the FG in that situation...

What would the Bills record be with this schedule?

Tuel the PS would be the best move. Before this Sunday, has there ever been an undrafted QB backing up and undrafted QB? -

Connecting flight possibly? He wasn't seen in Minnesota, but by sportswriters from Minnesota heading to Buffalo... -
This Marrone fella, he's gonna be a good one
ricojes replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hackett isn't easing anyone into the NFL, if so, that's a recipe for disaster. You can see the play calling for TL yesterday, it was pretty aggressive at times. EJ makes it look like they are "easing him in" because of all the checkdowns. It's really EJ that is playing conservative, not the game plan. Pettine is running a defense that will work very well in the NFL if you have the players, especially strong corners. The Bills are weak at corner and I believe they will address it this off season. The Bengals killed the Bills on screen passes yesterday, that was their main weapon. You have to have corners that can defend a screen pass, they were getting blocked off the field by Cinci's WR's, that was embarrassing... -

I agree with you on Marrone, he has the potential to be a really good head coach. The special teams coach should be gone at the end of the season. He was a bum with Detroit and he's a bum now, just not a good ST coach and it's showing. Hackett is the one I am most worried about. I don't mind the decision to go for it on 4th and goal, but the play call was horrible, just horrible! And there are many other "well it worked at Syracuse" calls that are just head scratchers. I don't see them getting rid of Hackett, due to the relationship with Marrone. So let's hope he can improve on his play calling.... -
Is the season about to go into a downward spiral?
ricojes replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are still on pace for 5 wins, about what was expected to start the season. Good base talent, but no depth. A good draft and key FA signings and it's playoffs next year. But as far as this year, it's difficult to downward spiral with no expectations of being good... -

The sportswriters were in route to Buffalo to cover the Sabres/Wild game tonight. That's the only connection to Minnesota as far as I know. -
The Sabres haven't had a superstar since Hasek, this team desperately needs a top 3 pick in the draft, preferably #1, but I'll take 2. They need that stud goal scorer to build around, right now they have nothing to build around. The problem is Darcy does just enough to not be the worst 3 or 4 teams in the league, he'll get you to 5 or 6th worst (Although this season could be different), but those are risky picks at best. The Sabres can't trade up because of how Darcy overvalues players, so we're stuck in a downward out of control spiral. They have to trade Miller and Vanek by the deadline, I have no faith Darcy can get that done. There are several other players they need to cut ties with, I have no faith that Darcy can get that done. Then they have to have a great draft and some key FA signings, I have no faith that Darcy can get that done. It's a mess, that won't get any better under Darcy Regier...

I was thinking the same, he is usually good for 1 buyout a year...this could be it!

The Hawks have another strong team. It's a shame they will always have an asterisk associated with last years Stanley Cup and that farce of a season, that was a very good team...

Yes! That's the one I was trying to think of...That was the Coy Wire, Keith Ellison year...

I have A. Foster, so Tate would be handcuff for him. My receivers are Welker, Gordon, James Jones and Broyles. I usually only play 2 WR when RB's are healthy (I have S. Jackson) I like Shorts, but the QB situation in Jax is a mess. Well pretty much everything in Jax is a mess. But Shorts does put up good numbers, more so with Henne. But he's not the most trust worthy start...They play Denver this week and will have to throw all day, so he could be a good start this week. What say you?
