  1. Very true! He is not on a short leash at all. We'll see what method proves to be better a few years down the road. It drives my crazy that this coaching staff is so paranoid about EJ getting hurt. I understand the history, but let him run and make plays. I am really surprised DM admitted to that on WGR this week.
  2. This could help, from SB Nation: The Minnesota Vikings have started making roster moves for this week, and the first couple are moves that fans are not going to like. The team has placed quarterback Matt Cassel and right guard Brandon Fusco on injured reserve, meaning that both of their seasons are over. Casell injured his left foot on Sunday against the New Orleans Bounty Hunters, as he went down awkwardly on a scramble in the second quarter of play. So, it appears that it's going to be the Teddy Bridgewater show from here on out. Fusco, who had played well enough to get a long-term contract extension on the eve of the season opener, is a much more significant loss. He injured his shoulder on Sunday, and was replaced by Vladimir Ducasse. . .who looked awful. The Vikings have had incredible continuity across their offensive line over the past couple of years, but are now going to play the rest of the season without one of their best players.
  3. The Chargers "blueprint" wasn't much different than Miami's defensive scheme. The difference was EJ hit the open receivers more times than not against Miami. I don't think SD did anything special against the Bills, there were open receivers, EJ just had a miserable game. The Bills need to get the run game clicking as well in order to beat houston. Get the run game going, EJ bounces back with a 60% completions, 230 yards, 1 TD, 0 int game along with a solid D/ST performance and the Bills win...
  4. Bortles kind of scares me, I don't know why. I am half tempted to pick him up and start him this week as Peyton Manning has a bye. That being said, i like Atlanta against the other rookie, TB, after seeing what they did to TB...hmmm...may be a sign...

    Fitz?

Fitz or Eli? Eli plays Thursday night against the Redskins who's D was picked apart this past Sunday, against a much better offense than the G-men though...
  6. He's available in our league. i really want to stash him on my bench, but he's done for the year and probably his career in Minnesota. now if he were to be traded....Baltimore would be appropriate...
  7. yep, after a win it's....we won but, this guy sucked, we can't run, we can't block, we can't cover, and the other team sucks which is why they won. After a loss, it starts to get negative...
  8. Paul Peck interviewed him during the UB game., I believe he was just visiting friends. he attended the UB game Saturday and the Bills game Sunday.
  9. I like how they refer to them as rub plays now. From my seat, front row, tunnel end zone, it was a pick play on the 1st SD TD.
  10. EJ had a bad game yesterday, there's just no denying that. Yesterday you definitely can see the huge gap between a very good QB and EJ. I believe he has the potential to be very good, but at this point and time he's very average. So we're kind of stuck in development mode, which is why it's imperative that they address the run game and get that on track. The Bills can win with EJ, but can't rely on EJ to win games.
  11. If you're desperate, keep an eye on Alfred Blue. The Texans are running Foster heavy, 28 carries last week, it's just a matter of time before he goes down.
  12. I like the BR comparison: BR 1st 2 years: 2004 - 14 Games, 66.4 Comp %, 17 TD, 11 Int, 98.1 Rating 2005 - 12 Games, 62.7 Comp %, 17 TD, 9 Int, 98.6 Rating EJ 2013 - 10 games, 58.8 Comp %, 11 TD, 9 Int, 77.7 Rating This year EJ has a 95.4 Rating to date, completing 66.7 % of his passes. *BR actually started his career at the #3 QB behind Tommy Maddox and Charlie Batch(lasted all of 2 games though). I think EJ would have benefited from watching a few games from this sideline last season, but the Bills didn't have the option. At any rate, let's just hope the comparisons end at on field activities only...
  13. I have been saying that about my softball career for many years now...
  14. Yeah, I was going to write that, but figured I'd leave some meat on the bone... I wish I could say i was shocked with the amount of 0-2 starts, but I would have guessed close to that...
  15. I wish I could say i was shocked with the amount of 0-2 starts, but I would have guessed close to that...
  16. Also, it was the greatest Bills fan to Fish fan ratio I have ever seen in that stadium. Combine that with Fish fans having virtually nothing to cheer about, and it might explain the good behavior...
  17. 2 games in, might be a little early to declare him a bust...Maybin didn't prove to be a bust until at least the 3rd game...
  18. This was a quick count, so I might be a game or two off... Since 1960... Bills 2-0 starts - 15 Playoffs made - 9 Flip side... Bills 0-2 starts - 19 Playoffs made - 1 So, what does all this mean? absolutely nothing other than i might have too much time on my hands... GO BILLS!!!
  19. Left a little later than i wanted to and got stuck in a nasty traffic jam. Some Bills were saying on the radio they had to cut several people off in order to get to the stadium on time and avoid a fine. The tailgate was fun as always. Seemed about the same as any other home opener. the crowd at the game was into it from the start. there is usually a lull in the crowd after half time as most people are away from their seats. But it was very brief this time. The home opener is always pretty loud, so let's hope it carries through the season, winning should help that...
  20. I had no issues with the bathrooms, section 119/120 (tunnel end zone) first time in a long time that was the case. But I may have just timed it well. I liked the sports bar, I thought it was pretty cool. Go in early to avoid the gate lines and have a beer at the bar. Kind of sucked getting out from my section, it's a pretty good walk to get to the 1st exit from my section as everything is fenced off before that. It's the same distance of course, so no big deal. But at least there was more elbow room. The Bills store is so much better than the old store, but it was incredibly packed, so i can't comment on the merchandise as it was a brief stay... also...I am already sick of seeing people using the spray and squeegee....
  21. I say the same about Kiko...Getting him back next year will be like drafting an impact player in the first round...
  22. There should be a good crew for this coming weeks game. Denver/Seattle is the highlight of the week, but I think the Bills/SD will be very entertaining...
  23. 6-5 in games he completed, he is learning. I thought it would take 3 years, he is actually ahead of my expectations. I know everyone wants him to come in and be a star from day 1, but that's rare in the NFL...
  24. It's not funny, it's called being a fan. I will go to my grave believing it was a forward lateral! Go to the Miami fan site and there probably is 33 pages complaining about that play. But I do honestly believe this play looked like a legitimate TD live and questionable in slow motion, so the ruling on the field stood.
