  1. And why would Vick not play here? Its not like we have a stud at QB who never gets hurt. The guy makes plays and is exciting. You think Ralph gives a sh-t about dogs? I very much doubt it. He wants to win football games. Is Vick Tom Brady, obviously not? But can the guy makes things happen? He sure can. And for all you posters who are morally appalled by Vick, deal with it. The guy served his time. Let it go. Or just go root for another team.

Vick will be on the Bills by next week. You heard it here first. And I believe I was one of about 3 posters on this board who said TO would be on the Bills as well.

I hope this ass clown is right. I would love it if Vick came here.

  2. It would be funny to see the Bills sit him the entire year.

Really though, it is a business, and he's trying to get paid the highest amount possible. The problem I see is that it is affecting his performance at his job, which ultimately needs to be rectified.

The NFL needs to set a cap for rookies in my opinion. 1st rounders, 2nd, 3rd, etc all at seperate pay grades and then fnally they get a contract from the drafting team based on performance from the 1st year. I truly cant see how that system would fail.

  3. Me too. Of course, there are things I don't like, too. You HOPE they use the preseason to identify the bad things, and try to fix them.

Exactly. There's some you do like and some you dont. It is preseason, its meant to "shake the rust off" before the real games start.

Yes, the Bills dont hit in camp...we know. Its Skelator's style of coaching. They better have a winning season or he's gone.

  4. Maybin is worth whatever he produces over the length of his contract - if he's a bust he's worth very little, if he's a Pro Bowler he's worth quite a bit. I think what you're asking is what are the Bills going to pay a guy who has never played a down in the NFL - that's completely different from worth. I hate rookie contracts - crazy money for guys that haven't done anything and may never do anything.

Couldnt agree more. Im all for capitalism, but maybe the league should look into capping rookie year contracts. I think it would make sense, I also think it would make competition and play better. Just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

  5. This is actually a really interesting topic. I'd like to hear more about how other camps compare to the bills camp.

I did attend a bills practice last year and found it somewhat boring, but you gotta keep in mind, they're spending alot of attention widdling down the roster. Sometimes I get the feeling that too many guys that are on the bubble take up more time than the first team attention.

    Thoughts?

  6. Much agreed - Wood and Levitre really need to be there as much as possible for the coaches to assess the O-line, although I have a feeling it isn't going to be the interior of the line that's going to be questionable, as much as the tackle positions. I've always liked Wilson at safety, and Scott; so, Byrd isn't as high a priority, IMO. Maybin, though, should be in ASAP. I think the coaches need to see what he can do in pads. As far as I can tell by reading the news on the OTA's, Maybin has a lot of people wondering what he'll be capable of in pads. Can't wait to see. But, in all, I think the Bills have done a good job of signing guys - I think we're quite far ahead of most other teams.

I agree with this completely. But as an extreme realist, whether or not a good job was done by the front office, Wins will determine if it even means anything.

  7. Yup. The Buffalo Chop House. First floor.Best restaurant in Buffalo.......

Yes chop house for sure, notice the high red velvet seat backs in the background. And the male waiter which for some dumb ass reason is a staple of buffalo restaurants. I mean, when I go to a bar, or a restaurant, I DO NOT WANT A DUDE bringing me sh*t and asking how my sh*t was. I want a slightly dumb good looking chick....and so does TO.

    get it together restaurant owners.

  8. I've got to agree with Roscoe. It's insane that the Bills don't utilize him more. Perhaps he's not the most polished receiver; but he should be catching balls on slip screens, reverses,--i.e., getting some touches in space. It's not like this team has that many other guys who can score a TD any time they touch the ball.

Im with this Wolverine on this one. I dont think he's had enough opportunity to fully test his potential at WR. That being said, Trent has to be on his feet to get him the ball....that O-Line is seriously freightening.

  9. A few questions that you should answer:

    1. Have you ever been in a position of high esteem, wealth, and prestige and have it all taken from you in your prime due to a terrible mistake on your part?

    2. Have you ever been to prison?

    3. Have you ever been under house arrest?

    4. Are you Mike Vick?

If you answered no to any of these questions, please do us all a favor and just keep your opinions to yourself.

I'm all for people saying Vick doesn't deserve a second chance. Anyone who says that has a legit argument and I can see where they are coming from. But people who assume he hasn't changed a bit after all of that happening to him? Who the hell are you? I understand this was all his fault, but I'm willing to bet 90% of the people on this message board have never had anything this life changing happen in their lives. To go from one extreme to another in a matter of months. It's unfathomable to think that he "hasn't changed a bit." Unfathomable to think and absolutely moronic to state.

I cannot stand people who talk about things like they have ANY idea when they haven't experienced anything close to it. It's sad.

Im with this wad, but I hope Mike Vick hasnt changed...who are we to judge what this dude does on his own time. If he wants to run a dog fighting ring, then so be it.

    Viva Ron Mexico!

  10. Based on that statement, you seem to know very well what you are talking about.

    cool avatar.

Seriously, im with SKOOOOBY (or whatever). I want Vick here, raising hell. I want to see PETA at the games being assaulted by drunk white trash animals. We need more media attention.

And yes, I'd have no problem strolling around with a Ron Mexico jersey.

ps...anybody notice TO's the only one to speak out? Seems like a possible olive branch from the bills...I love it.

  11. He is going to be willing to take back-up money and we have no real good back-up options. Fitzgerald and Hamdan suck and DJ is not going to hang his job on those boys this season. Stock the team with talent and let the coaches sort out where they go has been the theme.

    GO Bills!!

I think this logic is Nuckin' Futz, but I really like the idea of it. It would be cool as hell.

Its definitely just me, but I want this team to be stacked with a**holes and criminals.

I know, I know, im dumb and lost and dont know what Im talking about. Just my opinion.

  12. This is Edwards 2nd full year as a starter in this league and it is make or break for him? Would you cut Sanchez or Stafford after 2-3 years in the league?

Absolutely! After he has a full year this year. If we dont get to the playoffs largely in part to his shortcomings, then yes cut him.

of course its a make or break year for him! Its a make or make or break for a ton of Bills staff. Look at Matt Ryan, thats what you need.

  13. They do need Reed. He's the third-best reciever on the team, and by far the best slot reciever.

If we were going to trade anyone, it would be Roscoe.

The problem is that the Ravens don't just need recievers. They need #1 and #2 guys, and we don't have anyone like that on our team, anyone proven, that is, outside of Lee and T.O., who we certainly aren't going to trade.

I think "third best receiver" is arguable.

  14. So wait, you're saying that adding Vick would get us to the Playoffs??

The National Football League is great! You should check out one of their games sometime.....

    1. I did NOT say Vick would get us to the playoffs...you should check out a reading class sometime.

    2. I am NOT saying Vick gets signed, and takes over for Trent. He'd have to compete like anyone else.

Im yet to see any substantial argument for any REAL downside of signing Vick, and letting him compete for a starting job.

I can care less about animals, PETA, or Todd (who is asking me if morality comes into play for me, no it doesnt uneducated putz, not when we're talking about footabll and winning.....all morals go out the window. You should spend your Sundays at church or volunteering in the community dork, i'll be watching football).

One of you idiots on the "NO VICK TO BUFFALO" campaign have to get me some type of concrete reason other than you plain dont like him (and are afraid to say it).

  15. The bills are in a bad situation, but not the worst. The worst situation would be to sign a disgusting moron like Vick. So things would only get worse by getting the disgusting retard.

    Idiot.

Idiot, ha. How elementary of you Todd. If you dont make the playoffs for a decade, then yes, it is the worst possible scenario.

Are you one of those dudes that thinks everybody should get a ribbon? Not trying to be a jerk here, but honestly, it doesnt matter who's on your team, as long as you win and make the playoffs. That's what constitues a successful or unsuccessful season. Nothing else matters buddy.

You call it bad, I call it worst. Im not going to call you names (like Idiot), I just think its people like you, who deem mediocre play as acceptable.

............here it comes, "I never said it was acceptable".........they've sucked for over 10 years now and I'll take anyone, ANYONE who can help win games, Vick can do that, he's a tremendous athelete.

  16. I believe that he is trying to say we are in the worst possible situation we can be in right.....

Yes, absolutely. We havent gone to the playoffs, plain and simple.

How does anyone know if Matt Millen were in charge we'd make the playoffs?

The point is, we havent, and it doesnt get worse than that. TO's actually the first step to rectifying this.

  17. Uuuuuuuuuh...?

Havent made the playoffs in a decade. At this point, it is the worst possible situation they can be in. You play regular season to make the playoffs, you play playoffs to make the SB, You play the SB to win the championship.

We havent made the playoffs, it doesnt get worse than that.

  18. Vick is not worth it. Vick makes a few good plays that get him on ESPN but he isn't a winner. Plus i doubt he will be happy unless he is the starting QB. When was the last time you saw a running QB win the SB? The wildcat is a gimmic offense which will only get you so far. The Ravens dismantled the Wildcat offense last year in the playoffs. Miami couldn't do squat against it. If the Bills had any kind of offense last year we would have beat the Dolphins both games.

Miami's playoff spot last year was based more off a solid defense play and a good year from Joey Porter.

great point....but even though it seems gimic, it worked because they won games.
