  1. Good point. But I'm not thinking about the criminal element. I'm referring to all those "good" kids who are raised predominately middle class, christian, southern homes. These kids are so protected from "unsavory elements", they never actually learn how to make their own decisions or develop that instinct for knowing when they're in an unsafe environment or how to remove themselves from it. I'm surrounded by them where I live. So many of my son's friends (between 18 and 22) have the maturity of 14 year olds. They seem to be useless without their parents around to make their decisions for them.
  2. Perhaps because parents try too hard to "protect" their kids from the seedy side of life, keep them so busy with extracuricular activities, think for them, coddle them, that these kids don't get enough opportunity to learn "street smarts".
  3. Tennis. Baseball Gymnastics Aussie Rules football
  4. The show they televised at the Ralph last week is supposed to be telecast in its entirety. Just not sure when.
  5. I'd start looking about 10 weeks ahead. Many airlines have good sales to the Southern cities in January through March.
  6. Mine's on my mustang convertible. It says: "Drive Topless" I guess that would be considered liberal?
  7. No "insider" info. But IMHO you're shopping way too early.
  8. I saw something like that a few years back - it was so gross when you realize what builds up all over the walls.
  9. THEY SOLD OUT IN THREE HOURS - AMAZING! Can't wait to walk into that stadium again with Bills colors on. "Tickets for the fifth 'Packers Family Night, Presented by FOX 11' sold out in approximately three hours after going on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. This year's event, which will take place Aug. 5 at Lambeau Field, will mark the second time the Packers sold every available seat in the stadium bowl. "Packers fans again responded with great enthusiasm," said Packers Executive Vice President/COO John Jones. "We're very thankful for the level of interest we witnessed today and are excited about this year's edition of Family Night, which includes a scrimmage with the Buffalo Bills. We look forward to seeing the stands filled with excited families this August." Included in the evening's activities, per custom, will be the popular "Shirt Off Our Back," with approximately 20 jerseys -- all of which will have been worn by Packers players in the just-completed scrimmage -- to be given away in a random drawing, other entertainment and a spectacular fireworks show to conclude the night. "
  10. Not sure yet. Taterhill got them for me online because I was too busy drinking Labatt's at the Ralph last Saturday when they went on sale. They're in the mail. I'll PM you when I know. Are you tailgating?
  11. Is anyone out there going to Green Bay for this? I'm amazed!!!I just checked on hotels yesterday and it's ridiculous! A couple at $200-$300 per night. The reasonably priced ones are all full. Have to stay over in Appleton. I also found that it seems to be cheaper to fly in to Milwaukee, rent a car and drive up to Green Bay (2.5 hours). Not a bad idea...that part of the country is absolutely beautiful in early August. Of course, if there any local Bills fans with an extra bedroom, I wouldn't be too proud to beg.
  12. Bayer Aspirin works well for me. My brain doesn't like the allergy meds. But it's interesting that I only have a problem in Texas. It was so cool last weekend in Orchard Park to sleep with the windows open.
  13. You're so right. But in my case....that's on the top of the woman list as well.
  14. Correction: 1. Shag him 2. Feed him 3. Leave him in peace.
  15. From an Aussie Vineyard I hope?? (I'll bring you a good one to the opener)
  16. You guys will probably disown me, but I'm also going to experiment with turkey bologna. It should be a fun weekend trying all these different ways.
