  1. LOL I just love that word. One of the rare time I'd welcome being wrong.
  2. But what goes on at the board, stays at the board.
  3. She's over slightly cooler water right now.
  4. Y'all having a nice conversation and I'm enjoying reading it....but what does it have to do with hurrican Rita??
  5. Duh - Dallas is expecting hurricane force winds and rain on Saturday night and Sunday
  6. Oh crud....I didn't think of that. We could hop it up to OKC Beerball. We can watch the game with the OKC Backers? Nope that's in Rita's path as well. Or drive to Lubbock Or we could start driving now and get to Buffalo. I am not gonna' miss that game by golly
  7. This is so depressing. My girlfriend arrived at my home at about 1:30am this morning. Each time the hurricane's eye moves a little more East, it puts her home right in the center of the storm. It's hard to know how to comfort her. She's newly divorced and her family is in Buffalo. She's so sure she's gonna lose her fricken house
  8. My friend evacuating from Galveston County has been driving for 9 hours and is only half way to Dallas. It's usually a 4.5 hour drive from her house to mine. Rita has turned a little to the East which puts the storm center a little closer to Galveston. Damn.
  9. She was smart enough to get "mold" insurance as well. That B word Rita is now a CATEGORY 5!!! Houston, we have a problem.
  10. My girlfriend (ex Buffalo) is in Seabrook which is on the other side of Galveston Bay. They just announced mandatory evac for her area which is mostly at sea level. She's leaving because she has two dogs and two cats. She's headed north to stay with me in Dallas. Luckily she has replacement cost and flood insurance on her house. Now WTF am I going to do with no spare bedroom, two dogs and two cats invading my house.
  11. Not that guys really care....but I think they may be "real".
  12. OK AD, you're omnicient. I made it. It was very good. And yes, I even used the PJ
  13. The room block is filling up fast at The Holiday Inn on the RIVERWALK – Rate is $99. You must call 210-224-2500 and ask for Buffalo Bills rate (not online). When they’re gone the hotel will be sold out. Bills Fan Parties: 1. Pre-game get-together: Saturday from 4pm to 6pm in the Holiday Inn (Riverwalk) bar. Drink specials and snacks – ALL ARE WELCOME (not just hotel guests). 2. Game Day Tailgate: Since we can’t plan a tailgate at the Alamodome (parking is too limited), the Holiday Inn has offered us a large, free room for overflow off their bar. I’ve visited the location and it’s perfect for a get-together. They will put on drink specials and snacks (we can also bring some extra snacks). It’s also right next to their restaurant for anyone who wants to eat healthy. ALL ARE WELCOME – the Holiday Inn wants to be the official Bills Fan Hotel for that weekend. We can put up banners and bills decorations. The bar will open at least 4 hours before the start of the game (yes, even at 8am if we have a noon game). Transportation: From the airport to the Holiday Inn Riverwalk: Taxi is around $20. Downtown shuttle is $12. Metro bus is $2 - Route 2 and get off at Pecan/Main St. stop (2 blocks from hotel) To the game: walking is 9/10 of a mile – but it may be very hot that day. The streetcar stop (yellow route) is two blocks from the hotel and goes to the dome. It runs every 10 minutes. Eighty cents. www.viainfo.net/Ride/streetcar.aspx Or group together and cab it. Please help get the Tailgate info out to other Bills fans coming to San Antonio for the game. Extras: The San Antonio Riverwalk is a great place to visit. You can look at the available attractions at www.sanantoniocvb.com. If you want to soak up some real “Texas” atmosphere, go to Steers & Beers or Texas Land & Cattle – both on the Riverwalk and have great steak. For seafood….Landrys. For Tex Mex…almost anywhere. Also, try to get over to Buckhorn Saloon & Hall of Horns – it’s amazing. And to soak up some local flavor – Market Square. Of course, you’ll want to visit the Alamo, and for a good story of the Alamo, catch the Imax Theater showing of “Alamo – the Price of Freedom (next to the Marriott on the Riverwalk) Have fun!!
  14. And I'm sure it will be. We certainly wouldn't want our children to be held responsible for their actions.
  15. Damn - I just stumbled onto this forum. I was getting SOOOO bored yesterday reading all those "football" threads. Is it my imagination, or does everyone keep saying the same thing?
  16. Great idea Cindy . But if I were a newbie and looking for a hotel near the stadium, I probably wouldn't seek it under a thread entitled Tailgate East. I still remember how I had a hard time finding things on the board in the beginning Perhaps something titled "Stadium area Hotels", showing the distance from the stadium and the phone number. I'll volunteer to do the research if you want.
