  1. I strongly agree. Time will be a precious commodity and you'll need to add in the time to get from the airport to Manhatten and then back again. This will give you only about 6-7 hours of actually sightseeing time. I've done these kinds of city tours in many places and I highly recommend them when you're short on time. They'll narrate throughout the tour and you can get a quick overview of many more places than if you walk or cab it. Dress warm if you want to sit up top. You can get off and on again at the places you want to see more in depth. I'd recommend the WTC site and the statue of Liberty. But, I hated the hours of long lines at the Empire State Building.
  2. That's amazing. Here I am in NYC walking around in 60 degrees while wondering if my pipes are freezing down in Dallas. The irony of it all.....
  3. I'm hoping that some local Bills fans will extend some hospitality? Have a wonderful trip Nick and be sure to drop by the Pinto tailgate and Pole 5 in Lot 1
  4. Good point cablelady! Looking at where most of our current starters played in college and the fact that we've hardly had a weather element game in the past two seasons. Are we truly a "cold weather" team right now?
  5. If you haven't heard from him already, send a PM to "Fezmid", I'm sure he would be happy to take care of you. Godspeed. You're in our prayers.
  6. That WAS awesome to hear him yell that just like years ago
  7. Never have - never will. The only thing that I'll get up at 5am for is a Buffalo Bills tailgate.
  8. Nah - every time I meet a new guy he thinks I'm a weirdo because I take off for so many football games and won't make any social plans for Sunday afternoons. I guess they can't handle the competition from JP and the A train
  9. I would recommend you call DirecTV customer service. But it may be cheaper at this point to watch the remaining games in a sports bar. Maybe more fun too!
  10. I guess this is the only good thing about living away from Buffalo. I never miss a game.
  11. Cooking a traditional dinner with all the trimmings. In the dining room with the good linens and china. I love setting a fancy table for the holidays. But we're doing it on Friday to accomodate the other inlaws. Tomorrow, I'm going to lay by the pool and watch football on the little outdoor TV
  12. If you're going to drive or cruise to Mexico you'll need a passport to get back in the US. If you're flying, you'll be OK until January 23. Take your drivers license and birth certificate. Here's the most complete (non commercial) site for passport information: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
  13. Warm Thanksgiving wishes to all my friends on the wall. Please be careful if you're driving and please don't root for the cowboys tomorrow...
  14. Hey Lana. You missed an awesome weekend in Houston. Rose and the girls were there.
  15. I was feeling neglected. Lana and Cablelady were getting all the attention. A good chef would definitely be appropriate.
  16. Mine came out as Philadelphia. Any of you who have heard me speak can join me ROFLMAO.
  17. I don't like them much and wish they'd never started. Why do people wait for a religious holiday to write to all their friends/relatives to brag about their trips to Mexico/Carribean and their kids accomplishments? Why not do an annual update in a different month? MHO is that during the holiday season, we take the opportunity to wish each other peace and joy.
  18. I'd like to add that I thought the Texans fans were gracious as well (except for the 3 in front of me that took 3 trips for food, 3 trips for beer and at least 3 trips to the potty and had to stand up right in the middle of a play). But many (like Cowboys fans) came in late, left early and didn't wear their colors. It must be a Texas thing.
  19. Photo ID and Cirth Certificate. If you leave the USA after January 8, you'll need a Passport to get back in. It's mid November, passports take about 6 weeks without springing for the "rush" charge. But I'm amazed at how many people still haven't applied.
