  1. So true - and they were smart enough to add Heinz Field to the cityscape - downtown is a spectacular sight when you come through the Liberty tunnel at night during the holiday season.
  2. Good solution BF! Many people own stuff that gets loaned to Museums and Art Gallerys for display.
  3. Thanks Bob4Bills - does everyone agree?
  4. Hopefully some other "older" folk can help me out here. I'm trying to piece together the SB runs of all four years. Against NY Giants - Kelly played season ender, all play off games and SB Against Redskins - Kelly played season ender, all play off games and SB Against Cowboys #1 - Kelly played season ender and started wildcard game against Oilers but was injured in Q1. Reich finished wildcard game and went on to win at Pittsburgh, then Miami - Kelly came in for the SB game. Against Cowboys #2 - Kelly played season ender, then against the Raiders?? Reich played against the Chiefs?? Then Kelly for the SB.
  5. How can any mother who calls her children into the bathroom one by one and drowns them NOT be a nutcase??? I've raised 5 kids and know that sometimes you can get so angry you can lose control, but this is way beyond that. I think she belongs in a mental hospital rather than a jail. But I'd keep her there forever.
  6. Try mixing the lemon juce and honey with some apple cider vinegar and hot water. Sip slowly. Take simple aspirin every 4 hours and gargle with warm salted water. Since I spent most of my childhood 50 miles from the nearest doctor - we learned to use what nature provided and everything worked just as well (or better) than any of the drugs/remedies on the market today. Note AD's advice about your liver - very good advice.
  7. Why is this starting to sound like Viet Nam? (except for the "coke snorting) The drug of choice back then was LSD.
  8. Bledsoe and Wire bobble heads from Tops?
  9. OK - just go to the home page and concentrate on the blue section in the middle called "Joel's library". You can open each article and read as time allows. They are some great articles, positive, upbeat and cleanly written. I wouldn't recommend going into the message boards etc. and all the other stuff unless you really want to and/or feel the need. I didn't find that it was helpful to be reading about everyone else's cessation problems. Some need it - others don't. I never registered.
  10. Then there's also "T-Bone" which means "Team Swapping W-H-O-R-E" and "FAT" which means "Free Advice Thursday". And we are not allowed to hate.....
  11. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go to www.whyquit.com. It will answer all your questions and explain what's happening inside your body and brain, step by step. If you start reading all Joel's educational articles, you'll understand your addiction and be able to fight it so much easier.
  12. Sounds like the fault was with Pataki and the way he sucked up to JK during the intro.
  13. Kind of like comparing it to s_x. Would you rather have inferior s_x? Or none at all?
  14. For nothing?? You're kidding right? Just look at the guy. I'd want to get paid for having been married and to sleep with him too!
  15. I heard it's based on your marital status when you actually "win". Not when you "claim".
  16. It's not the parties, snow, women or beer that voters would be concerned about. It's what he did to vendors and peers in the community when he closed his business.
  17. Grew up in Syracuse? Do you think he's a Bills fan?
  18. Good point. It's five years for me - cold turkey. I did it by quitting for one day - every day. It seemed more manageble that way. Each morning I would get up and say to myself "one more day". I can highly recommend www.whyquit.com and READ, READ, READ, all about what's going on inside your body. You'll find proof that cold turkey is the most successful way to stop smoking and WHY. The first month, I went to this site every day for support and studied all the educational material about tobacco addiction. It's a REAL eye opener!! It gave me the strength and wisdom to understand why I can never, ever, ever, ever take one puff. Because then you have to start this crap all over again. You're already over the physical addition but you know have to go through all the stages of grieving because your best friend (that little white cancer stick) has died. Rockpile has given you excellent advice in his posts. Good luck - YOU CAN DO IT - YOU REALLY CAN. Just take it one day at a time and remember - www.whyquit.com
  19. You're treading on dangerous ground /dev/null. It's cold and cruel down here in PPP. Much safer up on the sports board with the rest of us dummies.
  20. 1. Big SAM against the fish because it was right in front of us. 2. The opening day TBD tailgate party.
  21. I'm kind of excited that even though I'm not a football expert, I predicted 9-7 back before the season started. Was that July we did the first round of predictions?
  22. When I first got relocated to Milwaukee, I used to take the 11 hour drive back to Buffalo about 6 times a year because I missed my friends and the Bills. It can be done.
  23. Beside the excitement of the winning streak, the highlight of my season was meeting so many TBDers, especially you Cindy. Hope you're feeling better.
  24. It's withdrawal. I suffer from it every year. I watch the playoffs and the SB and then I suffer through February. At least there is Arena football down here.
