  1. Thank God they found this problem before something more tragic happened. I'll pray that he'll make a quick recovery.
  2. There has to be a whole lot more to this story.
  3. Please check the Hotel info post under 2005 TBD Tailgate South thread. New information effective today.
  4. You know this child is full of pain and anger and the fact that the mother (or father?) couldn't come tells me everything I need to know.
  5. For a three game package, I'd give up the tickets. Now for the entire season? I'd have to think about that one.
  6. Agreed. But on another note - my kids never saw that kind of behaviour in their home either.
  7. Gee Rich - you gotta do better with your timing. Will you make it to Nicks the Friday before the home opener?
  8. Sorry - I wasn't clear. My son is over there . I also have three women friends who's sons are in Iraq. I'm sending 6 packages every week, that's about all I can afford right now.
  9. I saw her interview last night. She was very embarrassed. She is French, from Quebec and has a beautiful voice. She said it was a combination of nerves and crowd noise. Then when she returned and slipped on the ice, she was just too shaken to go back out there. I feel sorry for her. It was a very ungraceful fall.
  10. If you're going to this game, please go to the 2005 TBD Tailgate South Thread and read the update on Hotel Info for New Orleans. It's exciting.
  11. Black Leopard - aka "Big Cat" Good traits for a quarterback: Pound for pound the Black Leopard is probably the most evolved predator cat on earth. Some say, the most aggressive and feared animal in the world. They are extremely secretive and solitary animals, only coming together to mate. They are believed to be capable of killing prey up to 550 kilos. Thier territories, which they patrol with vigour, are about 12 square miles (Or one football field?). They are supreme tree climbers and can leap to 6-8 meters up a tree trunk from the ground. Black Leopards are not fussy eaters, usually hunting at night or very early in the morning. The Black Leopard is a rarely seen and has a highly proven track record as a man eater.
  12. These are ways you can support the troops even if you don't support the war (like me). It has more value than just sticking a yellow ribbon magnet on the back of one's car. My son and his buddies love their care packages.
  13. I'll be in New Orleans on business. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to check out hotels near the stadium for visiting Bills fans.
  14. I like it if it refers to a true big cat - a sleek, black leopard. Brave, quick, patient, organized, prepared, very quick off the mark, flexible, fit, lean, strong etc. And his black hair matches. What a great icon it would be.
  15. I have no problem with increased security. But I do have a problem with stupidity and inconsistency. Traveling through various airports is a joke. I have a watch and a belt buckle which set off only about 50% of metal detectors. And this lighter thing? I don't get it. It must be something to do with a fire hazard because you're not allowed lighters in your luggage either. Then the matches? Four packs of matches on your person, but none in your luggage. WTF can matches do in your luggage that's dangerous? They're boasting about the big bins of lighters they're confiscating every day. What a waste! Rather than fill up the landfill with lighters, why not move the bin over to the exit side and allow the smokers to pick some up as they go out? Now, I'm wondering what they've done with all my cuticle scissors, nail files, trimmers and wine openers. Were they donated, recycled or dumped?
  16. This came from my brother in Aust. Don't know if the Bill Gates/GM part is true - but I thought this was funny.... For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon." In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part): 1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day. 2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car. 3. Occasionally, your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this. 4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause you car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine. 5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times! As fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads. 6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light. 7. The airbag system would ask, "Are you sure?" before deploying. 8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lift the door handle, turned the key, and grabbed hold of the radio antenna. 9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car. 10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.
  17. Should we put an icon on the sign? Like a sleek, black leopard? Kinda' matches his look and the way he moves dontcha' think?
  18. That makes sense Campy. Just doesn't seem fair that all these young men sitting around yelling "gung ho" for the war are here safe while some kids have to go back 2 and 3 times.
  19. Why do these kids have to go two and three times? They didn't do that during Vietman.
