  1. Thankfully there won't be a repeat of last year's white Christmas in Dallas - although it was beautiful. Off to Florida for a few days of R&R. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Please stay safe. Go Bills....
  2. The best part of my last trip was the Jefferson Memorial. Reading all his quotes inscribed on the inner walls was amazing. Also the Holocaust Museum is a must see. Wear your most comfortable shoes. Everything is really spread out.
  3. If it's just pain and discomfort, it's most likely irritation or inflammation. If Ibuprofin makes a difference - you may have found the problem. If the pain is accompanied by any numbness/tingling it would be some kind of nerve impingement and/or bulging disc in the cervical spine. This can result in permanent damage if not treated. I'm a self diagnoser - saves me a bunch of $$$. But I wouldn't recommend it to others - get it checked out.
  4. Aussies are always friendly and loveable. God bless you for fostering.
  5. We're staying at the Best Western at Hallandale Beach. I'll have to drop off my BF at Haulover Beach first (he's not a football fan). Then I can head out - but can't go too far.
  6. You mentioned that your brother and family are moving to Dallas. I'm the president of the Bills Backers down here so please pass on my email so they can get on my email list and know where the Bills bars are. It's info@dfwbillsbackers.org.

    Thanks,

    Diane

  7. I'm not even sure what the criteria is. The locals I talked to yesterday said it's about the numbers and whos "turn" it is. But they're convinced that it has to be a team from the AFC East. I'm just upset because I know there are many traveling Bills Fans who are looking forward to coming to Dallas next season. Our local Bills Backers have been getting excited about planning parties and welcoming so many fans from around the country. But playing on Thanksgiving will be a problem for those who don't want to be away from home on that weekend. And it will make game tix much harder to get. Guess we'll just have to wait until the schedule is published. However, anyone who is planning to come to Dallas - start saving your pennies - Jerry's world is an amazing stadium - but tickets are $$$.
  8. So, will I hear you howling from down here in Plano??
  9. There is also a custom blend made by the "Commissioner of Tailgating". I just brush with a little olive oil and then sprinkle on the seasoning. It's awesome.
  10. So yesterday at the Bills bar, a number of fans said there is a very good chance that the Cowgirls will have to host the Bills at their Thanksgiving game next season. Since they play the AFC east and they are playing both the Jests and the Cheatriots away, then that just leaves the Dolfags and the Bills to play at Cowboys stadium. If the schedulers believe in "taking turns" then it would be the Bills turn. Any more comments?
  11. I'll be spending Christmas in Hallendale Beach (just south of Ft. Lauderdale) and naturally, I can't miss my Bills game. I'm not sure if I trust the map at bb dot com any more because they aren't always updated. Can anyone help me out by recommending a place to watch with other Bills fans?
  12. Talked to Kenny. There is no organized party for Saturday night, but most fans will hang out downtown in the warehouse district. Sunday AM Tailgate will start at 9am at: The Local 931 Nicollet Mall. See you there. Check weather.com and DRESS WARM
  13. Agreed. Exactly why it won't last very long in our memory. But I have to base my comments on what my heart was feeling yesterday while watching the game. Both my ex husbands are Steelers fans - so this one was more personal.
  14. Thoughout history in the NFL there have been many recognizable words and "one liners" that immedately remind a football fan of a specific event or game. In the Buffalo sports world we have those special sayings that are specific to events that brought either heartbreak or joy to the locals and had impact on the outcome of the game. I'm thinking of "wide right", "lost helmet", "no goal" "forward lateral", "the comeback", among others. Now, for just a few short weeks we will have another saying here at TBD that will live in our hearts and remind us of the game in which we almost showed the Steelers how much heart (and guts) my beloved Bills team really has. "THE DROP" (learn from it Stevie....we are a community of 2nd chances....you'll catch that throw against the Vikes next week)
  15. Well said!!
  16. Any Saturday night parties or pub crawl locations? Pinto Kenny worship group?
  17. Or better yet...volunteer to be the one who gathers them up and puts them in the trunk. Then "accidently" forget them. I'm sure the Bills fans sitting around you in the stadium will love you for it. Have a great weekend in Buff and have a wing or 25 for me.
  18. I could volunteer for the Tailgate Central or the Backers groups forums since they don't require constant attention.
  19. OMG Guff. You don't look a day over 49! Happy Birthday sweetie!
  20. I Noticed your post sitting in a very old part of the message board. I'd suggest you post it in the active "wall" board so people will see it. Good luck.

  21. So you've seen Belichick after the Pats lose!! Classless.
  22. Maybe it's because he's a Bills fan.
  23. It's been a long time since 4th grade history but I seem to recall that this day was started to commemorate Armistice Day (the end of world war I). It was supposed to be a somber day to "remember" those allies (not just the USA) who lost their lives in battle. So, hearing someone say "Happy" Veterans Day sounds very weird to me. I stand open for correction.
