  1. Im still shocked that TD mike wasn't retained. Honestly I can understand GM's guessing wrong on talent evaluation for draft picks, but after rewatching the 2016 season it's just a complete joke that Mike was let go considering the very reasonable salary he would have been paid here. I hope JWill can do it, he definitely needs to improve from what we've seen though.
  2. The part that makes me laugh is when Goodell says we need a new stadium to "compete" with the other NFL cities. Like it would magically help our team win games with a special new field that gave us powers and weakened our opponent. Compete is the wrong word Roger, you mean 'fall in line with other teams and their seat licensing and corporate box ripoffs' It's such a joke, and I'm glad Terry is ignoring that dope. We have a place to tailgate, go inside for three hours, get a beer and maybe some food, watch the team play (and replay on the big screen) and then leave. I need nothing more than what we have, and neither do you. The same goes for NFL owners bank accounts, lets stop pretending everybody needs more when neither the fans nor the owners really do. All cities are different, stop trying to force Buffalo into being something they aren't.
  3. Dennison was the best offensive hire possible for us. I've followed that guy over the years he is a great game caller, as good as Chan. One thing I like about him is he's from the Mike Ditka school of not getting too cute, if a play is working he will run it frequently instead of worrying about the surprise factor (ala shanahan or petey 'the weenie' carroll) Tyrod has to be pumped for this season. .
  4. Disagree completely. Hyde is solid and we have 3 good corners. Zone stuff will have some growing pains but we will do fine in coverage.
  5. Ive never had season tix but am always happy to buy a game or two from you die hard holders. Really want to buy 3 or 4 Colts tickets this year if anyone can't make it. My son is going to be a freshman at UB and his roomate is a Colts fan so I'm gonna take them to watch us whip Luck.
  6. I agree. Kicking cost us Miami and Seattle games last year. And Schmidt's punting somehow went from amazing in 2015 to awful last year. We already score 25 pts per game. Just need to have a decent defense and strong special teams we can get in the playoffs.
  7. Great..... so now on top of our loser president dominating the news every day, now the celebrity I hate just as much as Trump will be all over the news too. It's perfect.
  8. Freddie and Kyle. And after this year you can throw Zay's name in the books for best WR rookie performance EVER
  9. I agree. He's really the only upgrade to a front 7 that gave up three 200 yard rushing games last year. We will face Ajayi and Leveon again this year, we need the RagMan to be thumping out there.
  10. For what it's worth (probably nothing) I think having that many children with the growing population problem on this planet means you either don't think about what overpopulation will mean to future generations or you understand it and you just don't care. I just asked my two children what they thought about someone having 14 kids. My daughter is doing her math homework, she punched the calculator and said "that's over 10 years of being pregnant, that mom must be tired all the time, and it must stink for the kids, you only get like 7% of your parents attention" My son said wow, "they must be religious and think birth control is the devil's doing".
  11. OK so talent wise I honestly think we're even on offense (Zay=Woods) lost TD Mike which will hurt but getting Sammy back which will help. We scored 25 points per game, only 9 teams better than that last year. Certainly enough to get us a playoff shot. Defense we should see a slight upgrade in talent with Ragland, Shaq, Hyde, and I think the rookie CB White can't be any worse than Gilmore's pathetic 2016 performance. So the question is, can McDermott, with maybe 10% better talent, improve this defense enough to stop guys like LeVeon, Ajayi and Brady from destroying us like they did last year? We gave up almost 24 points per game which was in the middle of the pack but man we had some seriously embarrassing outings . I'm a firm believer in the value of defensive systems being overrated, that there really aren't many surprises the NFL OC's and quarterbacks don't expect and plan for. In the end you need aggressive, hungry, badass players that are getting off blocks and flying to the ball. It's nothing Rex didn't preach, or every other guy that's running a defense. I think we are still slow at LB, and still surprised we didn't draft a true SS. The more I think about it, whether or not Ragland can play fast enough might be the make or break to this year. They say he can stay on the field and cover well enough, that's could be huge for us. With that in mind, here you go.......
  12. That's the reason coaches always downplay sack numbers. The very best in the world gets less than 1 per game. Hurries and pressures while still keeping contain on your lane is the goal. Sacks are awesome but they're definitely given too much emphasis by the fans. I hope Garrett lights it up and the Browns win a bunch of games. They have the Texans 1st pick next year too, so root for both teams to win more games than us or KC.
  13. Reid is the best coach in the league IMO. But he's not known for talent evalation any more than Belicheat or McDermott are.
  14. Right except amass a qb rating higher than Rivers, Big Ben, Russell Wilson, and Carr last year. Yeah he hasn't done anything.
  15. Hiring a young head coach with no HC experience is what I hoped for all along. Don't want a retread guy, take a chance on an up and coming coordinator with high standards for himself and his players. It's like drafting an QB, there are no guarantees and no perfect way to predict how they'll do at the next level, at some point you have to take a leap of faith. So we did. And we believe in him enough to bring in a GM he wants to work with, that shares the same vision he does for this team. McDermotts defense allowed more yards per game than we did last year, and that's a little concerning. But the man is impressive and that's what we're investing in. These guys can pull this off, I know they can.
  16. This is Jonathan Williams job to lose. He was a very good RB at a top college program drafted to do exactly what we're going to ask him to do this year-- run hard 5-8 times per game, pass protect, don't fumble. He's no TD Mike but he's got less than 30 NFL touches and still has a chance to be productive as our #2. Tate does look good though.
  17. Seems to me his son is getting great healthcare. One more surgery and get that cute little joker back home running around in his diapers. Kids are incredibly tough, he's gonna be fine. Karlos was one of my favorite rookies we've ever had, but now he's simply a reminder and a lesson for the other young players out there that it takes a lot more than natural talent to be a good pro. Focus, discipline and drive to succeed aren't something everyone has. Everyone has a lazy side to them, Karlos just gave in to his more than most. Might be a blessing in disguise though, he was a concussion guy and his running style wasn't going to do him any favors down the road. I'd rather regret not playing to my potential for my entire life than have brain damage and problems moving, learning and speaking.
  18. We had the room to pay $4M for Mike. After all the rook and FA signings there will still be $6 or $7m available and that's even if no deals are restructured. Overdorf and/or Whaley messed that one up badly. Mike wasn't just a backups he was a platoon runner and the best ypc average in the world these past two years. $2.76m we could have retained him with the 2nd round tender. Looks like a big mistake unless they can get someone to fill those shoes. Jonathan Williams needs to step up big time. Shady needs to be fresh when he gets his carries.
  19. Alex smith is going on IR after week 2 this year. KC is gonna tank and give us the #1 pick
  20. No way. I had him in fantasy 2 years, watched all this plays. Literally. Every reception. Had a few exceptional Pete Metzelaars stretch catches but honestly OLeary can fill in just as well there at #2. If we are cheap enough to lose TD Mike at $2.75m we'd better not sign this joker for $4m. Really poor roster management.
  21. Don't see listenbee making the team, never did. I think top 3 will be Sammy Zay and probably Philly just because he's a crafty dude with the most YAC potential. 7 TD's and 1000 yds in 3 years on a team with a lot of competition for targets is solid, got the hands and the moves after the catch. Hard worker.
  22. Seymour, Washington, JWilliams. Also important sophs we need to represent this year.
  23. Uh yeah until we tag him and then leverage that for a fair new contract.
  24. I had a dream that Tyrod and Alex Smith got injured and we had #1 and #2 picks next year. I tried to go back to sleep and keep the dream going to see who we picked but my dog wasn't having it. Damn
  25. Well we basically replaced Gilmore and Woods with our first two picks, and hopefully netted a starting RT, but he's a rookie so there will be some growing pains there. The only exciting thing that will get us ahead vs the 31 other teams also drafting good players is the extra 1st rounder, and we have no idea what that pick will be yet so....Uh... Thanks for the grade Mel, but let us know in 3 years what our grade is....
