The Demise of the Running Quarterback?
Webster Guy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the Wallbanger here. Cam is a cut above, he just got picked by a crappy team. If Luck had gone pro after his junior year and not been such a boyscout, Carolina would have Luck, and either us or Denver would have Cam. I hate that Amish lookin Stanford putz. -
A Few Passing Thoughts About The Denver Game......
Webster Guy replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cleveland isn't very good and they moved the ball pretty well against us at home. Manning is going to do better, I would say they score in the high 20's. Our offense would need an incredible offensive gameplan to score that many points on the road against a good defense who will be well rested due to their typical offensive time of possession. We simply don't have the OC or head coach to handle this task, and even if we did, our qb is in a major slump. The best way to watch a game like this is zero expectations, and just enjoy watching our defense play against one of the all time greats with some serious weapons. We might get a few turnovers and keep it interesting. Manning hates to get hurried and we'll definitely hurry him sometimes. As far as Green Bay goes, I don't care what happens in Denver, we're gonna give Rogers and Co. a helluva game. -
Offense almost unwatchable....
Webster Guy replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this will happen in the offseason when Pegula's football consultant team takes a fresh look at the organization. Hackett will go but it makes no sense to can him until after the season. it would be too much change to be effective right now. by the way, i find it funny that the only good thing anyone ever says about Hackett is that he's really enthusiastic, and yet on the other side of the ball our DC Schwartz is very low key. one guy has his crew playing lights out, the other is outmatched week in and week out and ranks in the bottom of the league. still shocked Marrone hired that joker -
Put Aaron Rodgers in the GOAT Conversation
Webster Guy replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
best thrower on the run in the NFL for sure. whats even more unbelievable is that his only 3 picks he threw this year were ALL off the hands of his receivers. they showed a clip of them. the guy could literally have zero picks right now. Eli threw 5 in one game this season. -
Bills awarded TE MarQueis Gray from Vikings
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we said the same thing, hey nice run buddy, but never ever ever ever run out of bounds when you weigh 240. he needs to watch some freddy jax tape. -
ive said this all along, there are ZERO small fast wr's in this league that are durable. never have been, never will. They're fun to watch but they break your heart with all the injuries. Roscoe Parrish is the perfect example. so fun to watch but always hurt.

mary wilson might be an option to step in and help Daryl too. seems like a solid lady and a newly minted billionaire. hopefully Daryl's story has reached her. she could discreetly handle his financial situation, but unfortunately his real struggle is the brain trauma and its effects on his mind. hang in there 56! Bills should have him lead the charge against Green Bay, our last home game. He needs to get back in the arena and feel the love from the fans.

Fred Jackson: "Whitner Dumb and an Idiot"
Webster Guy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
whats next, a Maybin attack? my guess is lil Donte still has a chip from being his usual slow self and failing miserably in pass coverage in front of the entire nation for years now. good hitter, focused, wants to win, loves the game, but his mouth is just too big for his own good, and he can't ever back up what he says. the niners probably miss him about as much as we do, which is zero. -
i see us playing green bay tough. they give up yards. Rogers is on fire again this year, his only 3 picks have been balls that have bounced off his receivers hands or been tipped. The guy is unbelievable at avoiding the INT. Eli Manning has thrown more picks in a single game this year than Rogers will throw all season.

hey wait, dont forget TJ made a nice block in the back penalty last night on a punt return. you cant teach that kind of skill

our owner just paid $500 million more than what the dolphins sold for not too long ago. if you think its about money you're wrong. Pegula could pay for a new stadium himself on what he makes in interest over just a few years. 0% chance its a dome. retractable roof maybe, I sure hope not. they have a sun/shade line on the field that is annoying.

next year when cleveland picks 15th (or so)instead of us, whoever is at the top of our board is who we lost. a few years after that we'll know what we traded. maybe it was a mccargo, or whitner, losman or maybin, mike williams the big texan OT, who knows? maybe we gave up a bust, average guy or a superstar. you cant judge a draft pick trade until it all plays out. my 14 year old explained this to my dad the other day, maybe i'll give you his number

Maybe the Bills are not So Bad After All
Webster Guy replied to Casey D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the way NE is playing they 'll have a 1st round bye again, so no wildcard game for them -
cant judge this trade for years. someone tell sully that too please. we dont even know who we gave up for sammy in next years draft, nor how that player will do in the NFL. when its clevelands turn to draft with our pick this march, whoever is at the top of our board is who we lost. it'll take a few more years to see how that player impacts their team, and look at sammy's body of work as a Bill. i think the kid already won us two games, detroit and minny.

Fitzy to the bench in Houston
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah i saw that too. Luck is the most accurate qb i've ever seen but he missed that dude by quite a bit for a sure TD. just goes to show how tough the NFL qb job is. there are some years, like EJ's draft class, where there isn't one single good NFL quarterback produced by the entire college football nation. its baffling man. Look at Eli, a 2 time superbowl MVP who has played some of the worst football in the league for 2 years now. NFL will always be my number one sport by far, but i wish it didnt have so much reliance on having an elite qb. if you dont have one you're never going anywhere, yet there are only a handful in the entire world. -
we werent gonna win that miami game anyway with our offense. the call doesn't hurt as bad
-
its easy to blame coaching, but I agree. punting on the 45 on the road down 2 scores w 8 min left is a joke. gotta let em go.

I agree with Howard Cosell, Jocks are Mentally Challenged
Webster Guy replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its "Rhodes" scholar, not Rhode. you're thinking of that little NE state maybe? Anyway, to support your point, I offer you a quick clip of Cam Newton from a few weeks ago in a post game presser. He uses " lack thereof" "per se" and "genetics" all incorrectly in 20 seconds. What are they teaching these guys in college? http://youtu.be/GnNVAEUzyNc -
When do the phantom calls against us stop??
Webster Guy replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
exactly. -
what hurts me the most is that KC is a good team with a winning record in our conference, and we let them steal one in our house. losing a game, truly getting outplayed like we did against the patriots, hurts less for some stupid reason than giving one away like we did yest. our probability for making the playoffs just took a serious hit. wildcard spots always come down to tiebreakers, and KC is a leg up on us now. with Reid at the wheel they're going to be a tough out for anyone. we should have switched that Big Andy lookalike guy from Lancaster with Coach Reid at halftime. Our imposter calls a handoff up the middle on that 4th down play (remember he's watched Hackett for 25 games, its all he knows) instead of that brilliant, decisive, PRE CALLED short yardage inside fake/pitchout that cost us the game.

I know Bryce had some fumbling issues his rookie season with Philly. 4 fumbles on about 130 touches. He seemed to clean that up his second year though, although about half as much action, he never fumbled. In his defense, that was an unbelievably lucky hit by Ron Parker the Chiefs Dback on the ball that caused the fumble. Bryce is a 225lb 6 footer running with a full head of steam and that tomahawk was directly on the ball. If you watch it in slow motion the guy is just a blur, you can barely see him come into the picture. My point is, I heard some callers saying post game that this is the reason Philly dumped him etc., but I say there are very few guys (if any) that would have been able to hang onto that ball with such a perfectly clean, vicious swing like that. I'm giving Bryce a pass, and was very impressed with his play today. It also made me feel good that Hackett was finally using some creative plays like the shovel pass and pitch outs to get our boys running in some space. Gotta pound those Dolphins in a few days, I hope Bryce is up for it because it'll be the perfect opportunity to redeem himself.

Who is the Bills' most frustrating player?
Webster Guy replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lee Smith is the worst player on our team. For the amount of time the guy plays its ridiculous how much he is penalized, he just seems to be lost out there. another drop today, and then he followed it up with another 5 yard penalty because the buffoon can't remember the snap count for the 9 plays he's not on the bench. Everyone says he's a great blocker but I do not see it at all. cut that monkey. Goodwin is injury prone but I'm not sure what anyone expects out of little guys playing in the NFL. There are virtually NONE in his size range in this league that are durable. They need to take away the kickoffs and the run plays with Goody. He's a long ball guy only, just leave it at that and he'll stay healthy. I like running backs returning kicks, they have the arms and the toughness to handle the ball. If Freddy was taking punts today we probably win this game because he isn't going to fumble like Leodis did. Nothing against the speedsters and the dbacks, but these guys aren't the best people to be handling the ball on special teams plays.
