  1. i always thought Rex's offense seemed to be very well prepared for us, and the gameplans were solid. A lot of underneath stuff, tight ends finding seams, good mix of run/pass. Geno/vick experiment was obviously a mess, but blame the gm for that.
  2. i wish i could just skip it but i'm looking forward to one of those teams losing. seattle doesnt deserve to be there and the pats have earned it but i hate the entire team, coach, owner and all of the fans. i hope they both lose.
  3. last year in the superbowl he ran 15 times for a whopping 39 yards. He'll fold again this year. the guy is a loser and a thug. seattle is sick of him too. imagine percy harvin and lynch on your team. yikes. the hawks will dump him this offseason.
  4. sort of. Lynch only had 39 yards on 15 carries in the superbowl last year. he was awful. they won in spite of the thug.
  5. thank god Byrd hired Eugene or we would have ended up signing him for a realistic contract and been stuck with the cap killing, injury prone, overrated, me-first king of the world. The saints got suckered and now they're screwed. Just Graham, Brees and Byrd's contracts alone are too much for them to carry and still be good elsewhere. The upside to Parker, he can sometimes help you without trying.
  6. Chan is a great OC. Theyre lucky to have him. Wish we did. he also knows how to manage time outs, game calling and challenges. Maybe we sign and trade CJ for Chris Ivory straight up. If Roman wants power runners he's a good fit.
  7. there was one time marrone did it this year and it paid off, but i hate punting on 4th and short anytime. oregon did it on 4th and 4 down 2 scores with only 8 minutes left against an Ohio State team they couldnt stop all game. unbelievable.
  8. So he gets to give half to the government, and he gets to never be respected again by NFL owners and players. Genius move Doug. You took Syracuse to a 500 team and the same with Buffalo (I don't count the scrub game against Patriots and neither should you). So you've cemented your legacy as a mediocre coach who puts money first. Lucky for you the Detroit kicker missed FIVE straight field goals, and the Packer receivers dropped three TD's or you'd be 6-10.
  9. We picked up a 4th for Stevie remember? It was a conditional that could move up to a third rounder if he did well out there. He had 50 catches (half for 3rd downs which is impressive) 435 total yards, 3 scores. Probably not enough to get our 3rd rounder.
  10. I agree. Living in the past in general is pathetic. (unless it's movie quotes or music) Everyone deserves a fresh start and a clean slate (unless it's OJ or the cheatriots)
  11. first offer is never the best offer, rb's are usually incentive based and can escalate significantly for a runner, its all about the guaranteed money because they all get hurt eventually he's worth $6-7m per season for production like he had this year.
  12. agreed worst guy on the team. negative net impact when you account for penalty yards. If moeaki was healthy, then it would have been him chandler gragg. Smith will be out of football next year.
  13. I wish you were right, but sometimes all the coaching in the world doesn't matter. we need two guards, the best two in free agency. Or a guard and a center, slide Eric out to guard. If its Lupati and the dude from the Jets, that's good with me as long as they're beasts. I don't want any more rooks or Urbiks or Pears or Kujo.
  14. two seasons ago he was the 2nd best runner in football. He won us games. He averaged 6 freakin yards a carry. Teams were setting up their entire gameplan around the guy. 1700 all purpose yards and 8td's behind a mediocre O line. The last time he touched the ball he went for 50+. Dont judge him by what Hackett did with him. And remember PFF graded our run blocking as the worst in the NFL last year. Dead last. (nice job fixing that doug and dumber)
  15. we have great defensive personnel that can rush, hit, control gaps and cover. doesn't matter who is DC, we have three pro bowlers on our front line and good depth all around. we need Oline personnel and a qb or none of this matters anyway.
  16. Hackett and Marrone are both going to get passed over for the jobs they want for the simple reason that they aren't very good game callers. Drawing up plays is one thing, and motivating your players is great, but the film will show that those two just don't have the knack for game management-- what to call and when to call it, when to go for it and when to punt, how to dictate a game. All a GM would have to do is watch this year on offense, he could probably watch all the 2014 offensive plays in an hour. Those guys have no shot. Marrone showed his lack of loyalty to his employer and all the other teams in the league took notice, and Hackett showed he's a great guy with tons of energy who belongs back in college running a great offense somewhere. No more NFL for those two.
  17. Sully belongs in the NY/Jersey media anyway. Rex has dealt with a hundred guys just like him.
  18. i was wondering when Chan would get tired of golfing and watching uninventive nfl offenses on his tv. Rex probably has his guy for OC, but if I were Pegula I'd have insisted Chan be interviewed for OC. The guy is very good and an excellent game caller
  19. disagree. its so old, over used and lame.
  20. Most important thing we need to focus on in the next 3 years is beating Brady and the Pats with whoever our mediocre qb happens to be. If we don't beat them we will never win a championship. Rex is the only proven HC in the world that has beat up the Pats multiple times without a great qb. In fact, he almost did it twice this year with Geno. As far as resume goes, he wins in my book. Always liked guy, glad he's on board.
  21. Oh really? We seem to be unable to find any in two years and that includes drafting 3 offensive linemen last year. I posted about Lupati twice already. He is the real deal and we need to get the guy here. Let Hughes walk, he's another Byrd, good player but not irreplaceable. Spend the money on the big fella's. Lupati this year and signing Dareus late next season. If Rex brings in Greg Roman from the niners, Greg will insist on it after watching our line collapse so frequently on our qb's blindside.
  22. Exactly. New England game was a giveaway, so that puts us at 8-8 in my book. Green Bay receivers dropped everything or that game is a blowout (Alex Van Pelt said that but he was right), and if Detroit kicker hits ONE out of FIVE field goals we are quickly a 6-10 team. I would be much more concerned if Schwartz left than Marrone. I think it bodes well for the team. New HC, new OC, lets crank it up next season. Fix the Oline (sign Mike Lupati the niners guard, yes we'll have to overpay, but do it anyway) and get busy winning!
  23. He was also found guilty in the wrongful death of two people, kidnapping and is a convicted felon in jail for the rest of his life. Embarassing for the Bills and a proven low life scumbag.
  24. I posted a few weeks ago that the New England game was a lost opportunity for EJ, that they should have at least played him in the second half. Got slammed pretty hard for it by a lot of you. Now that we see Marrone was just trying to pad his resume by getting a 9th win against scrubs in a meaningless game, and Orton was quitting football altogether the following day, wouldn't it have been nice for a new coach to be able to look at EJ's progress (or lack thereof) in a live NFL game after he sat out a dozen games? Our goal is to win a championship. Preseason for next year must start the second we are out of playoff contention.
  25. Two Rules: If you grow up in Roch and move south, always remember your roots, and that northern people are smarter and more productive than southerners, so be sure to spread that sentiment wherever you go. You might even want to get a T-shirt that says so. Rule number 2. There is one exception to rule number one, and that is the drive through daquiri businesses that makes New Orleans so awesome. Last time I was there I got a drive through hurricane just like going into Tim Hortons. I only had one, was not over the limit (though probably close the way you guys pour em' so hot) and remember thinking this is a genius idea, and that southerners were WAY smarter than northerners for sure. I made a mental note to get a Tshirt that said so, but forgot after my 3rd hurricane in the French quarter. Then the riverboat gambling cruise sold me. Another great call. Do you see how this post makes two contradictory points, throws in a little humor, and politely insults everyone in the nation all at once? These are the types of posts we're lookin' for from the new guys.
