  1. Elway and terrell davis. Best 1/2 combo ive ever seen
  2. The county lease was only a restriction for the short term. Anyone could have moved the franchise after that. The botton line is nobody was paying $1.4B. Nobody.
  3. I laughed out loud at that one. Hmmmm. So Pegula paid $400M more than the Dolphins sold for 5 years ago, (and a full $500M more than the general consensus valued the team) plus he agreed to keep in WNY, and he's a great guy, community minded, etc. Yeah he wasn't the obvious choice. Good thing Russ was there to.....uh.... you know, help regionalize the team in Toronto and stuff......
  4. Really sucks for the kid. I only know him from the highlights but he seemed like another Bruce in the making.
  5. Yeah its espn and the media youre sick of. Too many channels with not enough content to cover this time of year so theyre desperate. Here's a tip. Stay away from the media and just stick to TBD for camp stuff. you wont miss espn, trust me.
  6. Ahhhhh. Evaluating trades before a snap of real football is played. Lets start grading this year's draft while we are at it.....
  7. this is a great idea Joe. The one thing I will say as a huge wing lover from duffs to franks to gabriels gate etc, the best wing in the world BY FAR is the dinosaur bbq wango tango wing. They smoke these babies for 24 hours on the bird, then pull these tender wings off and flash em on the grill. The meat is juicy, falling off the bone but the grilled skin is perfect and flavorful. Unlike deep fried wings there is no grease and no sinew or fat because theyre cooked low and slow. I love the classic deep fried buffalo wing, but i dare you to take the dino wing challenge. You will be blown away. this is a great idea Joe. 8. If you have multiple billions, these cash flow numbers are meaningless. Suffice to say all nfl franchises appreciate significantly in value, which is why terry paid half a billion more than the dolphins went for a few years ago--he will recover it in time. He only overpaid from a cash flow perspective (meaning with 1.4B debt service taken into account the bills lose money) but from a net asset value approach its still a solid move. and marrying a younger asian chick, thats also a solid move. They arent that funny but their bodies hold up quite well as they age.
  9. That one catch where he went way up and hung there to make the play was a game winning catch if i remember. Awesome display of athleticism. Sammy won us a few games too last year. Im not buying into the "Roman's Offense Sucks for Receivers" thing. This is the nfl, you call the plays the defense gives you. If the box is stacked, we arent good enough upfront to make holes against 8 defenders. The passing game will be critical.
  10. Ej isnt very accurate. I want to have faith in the kid but he doesnt have much of a touch on his passes, and for that reason i dont think he will be the answer for us. I wish the goddamn qb position wasnt so freaking hard in the nfl because we have everything else lined up nicely right now.
  11. I had all good experiences. Lived upstairs from Shane Conlans gf on summer street so I ran into him a lot. Super nice, kinda spaced out, not a ton of charisma. Spiller at Canandaigua lake bar a few years back. I blew his cover by pointing him out to a bunch of people which later I guess was uncool, but he seemed to enjoy the attention so far from home. Great guy. My favorite was Leodis at training camp three years ago. rippin hot day, players were all shot from practice, hurrying to the lockers, and everyone ignored the kids wanting autographs, literally heads down walking right past the crowds. McKelvin looks around, grabs Levitre and says "lets do some good" They stood there on the pavement for the longest time signing everyones stuff. Moorman was the only other one who cared enough to show the kids some love. My son still wears his signed Leodis hat and it reminds me of that cool gesture on that hot day. It doesnt hurt that he turned into an awesome cb either.
  12. Yeah it was a beatdown, I started feeling sorry for Dan Snyder. Wait, no thats a lie.
  13. Nice job. Dareus against the redskins his rookie year was awesome too
  14. Not having Dareus against Luck is gonna hurt
  15. I wonder where Sully ranks him.......... That's what really matters. He was kidding when he said to cut him. Right?
  16. Aaron Williams staying healthy is pretty important to having an elite defense. We don't have anyone as hard hitting in the d backfield to replace him. I'm looking forward to Darby and Miller having an impact on both sides if the ball. Love it when rooks contribute.
  17. If any Bills fan roots against I would be surprised.
  18. I thought it was an awful move to let him walk. He never missed a game, had speed and instincts to pull when needed, seemed to do well singled up against some good DT's. I can't believe he's being considered a bust. Damn. I have more than one post about how ridiculous it was to let our best lineman (and a blindside one at that) walk right before we pick a rookie qb. eating my hat now............
  19. I care more about having fun watching the games than anything. I love this team, win or lose. We aren't winning playoff games with our qb sitch, but that's OK with me. Last year we were fun to watch, so I'm happy with that.
  20. This has zero to do with when someone was drafted. Sammy is a game changing #1 wideout Cassel and Shady have both had pro bowl seasons, but as someone else mentioned earlier, none of these three have played a real snap together so they're tough to rank.
  21. He's not on the team because he has a nice streak....
  22. Dibs you sly bastard, nice breakdown. Mama dibs didn't raise no dummy I like the 50% chance shady has 4 good years in the next 5. The one variable almost impossible to quantify is running style as it relates to wear and tear on the runner. Some guys just take more direct hits and a harder beating per carry (lynch, Bettis etc) and shady claims he's the type that avoids the big hits, which might skew the odds a bit more in our favor.
  23. The sad thing is we traded away our 2005 first round pick in the Losman draft the previous year. If we hadn't pulled the trigger on JP we'd have had a shot at Rodgers the following year. Instead we took Roscoe in the 2nd and a mess of other picks that never made it to a second contract in Buffalo. The worst draft I can ever remember. The other thing thats interesting about the Aaron draft is that right after SF took Alex Smith with the first pick ( surprising some people because Rodgers grew up a niners fan in northern Cali and was rated by some to be as good as Smith), but the next THREE picks were all running backs. Oh how the league has changed. (Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, Cadillac Williams) There will never be another draft like that one with 3 of the top 4 being runners. Unbelievable.
  24. Obviously it will take years to evaluate this trade, as is the case with all draft picks and trades. Everything else is just hot air and speculation but it's fascinating how many people already seem to know the outcome of the shady kiko deal. The only reasonable certainty I see is that in three years Shady will be on his way out and kiko likely in his prime. I liked the idea of a trade but I felt like we should have shopped kiko around the league and then made a decision based on the highest bidders. What if we could have picked up draft picks or even a pro bowl guard like philly has reportedly been shopping? We sort of responded quickly and did the deal right away. Glad to have Shady, but he's not AP or Bo Jackson, and if he has the same holes we gave our runners last year its gonna be tough for him to win us games.
  25. oh no, he's not juicing.... legs look like two hams skewered with a bean pole. haha JJ you're a great player but the reason everyone passed you by in the draft is because you weren't so....errr... chemically enhanced. he's like brady anderson the year he went from hitting 4 homers to 55
