  1. Everyone seems to forget about Robey. He's our cb3 and probably the best guy we have to cover TY Hilton regardless of who is healthy or not. But yes, Darby is a long way from ready. Luck will take what the defense gives him, and even with safety help it still hurts the team having only 2 reliable cb's right now. Theyre gonna move the ball against us.
  2. he probably wont play much unless lynch goes down, but that team could use some character. i wonder if fred can impact them very much as a newcomer, there are a lot of Dbags on that team starting with the head coach.
  3. karlos the krusha will be the short yardage back. i blame the nfl for cutting freddy. their stupid kickoff distance change is requiring a lot of teams (like ours) to carry two kickers now. we could have used that extra spot for 22.
  4. If Robey isnt on TY i will be surprised. Darby would get shredded, he isnt ready to play yet.
  5. Chan did a nice job calling plays and maxing out talent, but he was more of a run and gun guy. Roman seems more fundamental focused but still inventive. ROMAN we need to score over 24 against Indy. Get er done buddy
  6. I see our starting 3 cb's as gilmore robey leodis. Darby is 4th man at best assuming leodis can play (fingers crossed) Either way its gonna be a high scoring game I think. Luck is a machine and our cover guys are mediocre. Thats why I want TT running the offense, we need to keep Luck sleeping on the bench.
  7. The 'Freddy isnt fast' thing still fascinates me because its technically true in terms of stopwatch speed but the guy somehow makes other players look slow out there. Its like his long stride and the angles he takes makes him deceptively hard to get out there. Ive never seen a runner with his style. Im glad he's gonna have one more year to do his thing, and if I was the bills running backs coach I'd be worried about Freddy taking my job when he retires. I could see Whaley Rex and Pegula finding a spot for him
  8. I think Andre Davis makes it for sure. You could see Roman spending time with him on the sidelines, the kid has made plays and worked hard. Seems to get it. Im assuming he can block. I can see Harvin out with injuries most games this year, (as is usual with him and every other small receiver in the league) and Andre getting some time to help this team as the 3rd WR
  9. If Leodis cant go we have no choice unless we put corey graham at cb and duke starts at fs. Gilmore on Johnson, robey on TY. After that our nickel and dime defense is sketchy without leodis. Darby will have to get in there
  10. Worst case he plays out his contract and we tag him next year. If he delivers on the field like we expect wwhaley will get a deal done mid season
  11. Yeah sully was a total energy drain. Reminded me of the typical old tenured high school teacher going through the motions counting his years til they forced his cynical ass into retirement. It has to be a huge challenge for schopp and bulldog to not burnout talking about the same two teams for 15 hours a week, every single week of the year. Thats why i cut em slack, i love the Bills more than they do and i can only handle an hour of wgr radio max. Bulldog hides it better than Schopp, who has some days where you can tell he is sick of his job. Dont blame the guy at all.
  12. Sometimes multiple teams want to sign the cut players, a trade guarantees you get your guy. Its what the 7th round pick does best, a chip you can use to get a guy about to hit the practice squad or be released.
  13. 100% right. We are shopping EJ according to my inside guy, TT gettin the Indy start. I like EJ a lot, hope he lights it up. Either way thats good for us and good for him.
  14. If we dont have leodis back and playing well, they'll have 4 wr's out there a lot. That means Darby and probably Brooks in single coverage against Luck. They are gonna score some points. Luck didnt throw 40 td's by mistake last year, then again he didnt play in Buffalo with our crowd either. No Dareus hurts but we have the Bryant boys they looked good in camp. I think we steal the win if TT plays and Karlos is healthy. Gotta keep Luck on the bench, we are built to beat teams like Indy.
  15. Harvin must have problems catching punts or judging the fair catch call. He is one of the most elusive players in the league, a kick return ninja, there must be some reason he doesnt field punts. Im in disbelief when we trot out Robert Woods to return punts instead of Percy or Thigpen.
  16. Funny observation today: Boobie Dixon was doing individual drills on the side not in pads, Sammy was with him in full pads. Boobie is smiling and laughing and hamming it up with everyone and Sammy is dead serious and focused on doing everything perfectly. Complete opposites. P.S Marcel's butt is even bigger up close than it looks on TV. No wonder nobody can move the guy. Can't help but think what kind of a LG he would make if his coaches put him there way back when.
  17. They don't like mullets in Miami (aka Little Cuba Rico) Also Carpenter looks like the villian in a lot of movies. They can't have that, not after naming their team after a friendly, cute aquatic mammal.
  18. consider this: When Andrew Luck comes to play in the season opener, they are going to run a Chan type offense, with multiple wideouts, keeping us in nickel and dime packages forcing lots of single coverage. It's 19 days away and Leodis is walking around in a boot right now, which means guys like Darby are going to be forced into action. They are going to do a lot of 3 step drops and quick release stuff because they know we will kill Luck with our pass rush otherwise. He's a 95 plus passer rating with 40 TD's last year, and they're going to score around 20 on us. When I think about what QB we are going to start, I can't help but think we need more than a game manager in this one. Yes Cassel has had a pro bowl season in the past, and EJ has had some nice long balls in camp, but I can't help but think TT is the guy that will keep the chains moving and Luck on the bench. He's been just as accurate as the other two, maybe more so, and he can do things that the other two can't. Its not like Tyrod is a turnover machine, the guy might even be the safest option on top of having the biggest upside. Keep Cassel on the bench.
  19. We are a press favorite because everyone likes the blue collar fan, Rex Roman and Thurman are very competent at what they do, we have a top defense, top 5 runner, excellent receivers/TE and havent been in the post season in forever. Ps. All three of our qb's are likeable, have done well in camp, and one of em has even made the pro bowl. Another reason for the optimism. Who doesnt like that story? Ps. I didnt read the clickbait article, but i get the gist.
  20. my buddy jim said he's gonna pick him up in the fantasy draft, which invariably means he'll be hurt by week 3 and tank the entire season. jim has a knack for ending careers. sorry Reg.
  21. If you're a die hard nfl fan like most of us here, rarely can an outsider tell you anything you don't already know about your players. Durability is our biggest issue this year. I don't expect Harvin to be healthy enough play in more than a handful of games, and I'm worried about Sammy as well, the guy seems built to last but hasn't been fully healthy since we drafted him. Dont know much about Shady's healing speed but hammy's linger for a long time. Our starters at mid season might look a whole lot different than they do now. Keeping my fingers crossed.
  22. "Y'all wanna keep rollin like dis', i gotta know who gonna be da fall guy..." Broadcast journalism and quality leadership at its all-time low right there. What a loser.
  23. Clay sure is getting a lot of money for what I've seen from him thus far. Hope I'm wrong but he seems overrated. Almost like we were more interested in hurting the Fins by acquiring him. I think Preston Brown is just average, lots of others here say he's a stud.
  24. I don't think we will beat Indy unless we have Tyrod in there. There's tons of film on Cassel and EJ, but Indy wouldnt have much to go on trying to gameplan for TT. The dude is accurate and exciting. He gets the nod for game one unless something happens that shows rex he cant protect the ball. If our season opener was against a team like Jacksonville or the titans we would probably start Cassel because he wont lose you the game, but we will need to score 20 plus to beat Indy, Luck is a freaking machine, even against our D at home. Gotta play TT.
  25. Running holes. thats what i was watching every play, because thats the lifeblood of Roman's offense. It seems like his zone blocking is all about getting a blocker or two through the line and into the linebackers. Not just a fullback following a hole, but a TE, Hback or Olineman freed up and ten feet downhill sealing off the crease for the runner. Its pretty different because its sometimes like the Oline is stunting. ie. the play goes left, everybody blocks left but the LT pulls (which is counterintuitive because he should be the key blocker) and goes behind the center and hammers the backside LB or SS. The DE has nobody on them but Incognito and his opponent are shielding the hole between guard and center and the runner is through before the DE can slide over. Pretty wild. The Oline guys probably love the strategies. It seemed to work when they did it, which was a handful of times. I am worried less about the Oline than I was a month ago. We will be wearing down some defenses this year.
