  1. Chan is a great coordinator, i think time will show he is even better than our well regarded Roman. I think Chan understands how to use Fitz better than they did in Tenn or Houston. He plays really well with the lead, and tends to be a liability when he needs to come from behind. With the Jets targets and chan's gamecalling he'll get you 3000 in the air, 78% passer rating, 24 picks, 24 td's, 60% completion percentage. Not showin off, not falling behind. Jets d looked scary good. Wish we had paid the money to sign LB harris, what a beast.
  2. Revis has lost a half step, which means now he's just elite and not the best ever. Loved the TY hilton stiff arm, he dropped revis like a ragdoll. Wish we would have signed Harris the LB. He is a freak.
  3. He has beat them in the post season in foxboro with less talent than we have on the current roste, so what you say isn't true, but man we looked like chumps out there yest.
  4. Kromerica worked with the line a lot in camp, and I'm sure he's still reviewing film and providing suggestions off the books, he just cant attend practices or games. don't think coaching is our issue, but it will be good to have him back on the practice field and the film room with the guys.
  5. it was the ghost of ralph. i heard rattling chains a few times too. i'm convinced the pats stole our defensive players and replaced them with exact replicas that were dumber and slower. if that isn't cheating i dont know what is.......
  6. Eric Wood on WGR last week had a comment about Mulligans crushing blocks. The guy is basically an Olineman eligible to catch passes. not lining up properly is a coaching issue, unless the guy is total veggie brain.
  7. Tyrod needs to practice throwing to the waist of the receiver and not the head. He's a natural thrower, but he's got the Vick passing disease right now, very often throwing too fast and too high. That leads to tipped INT's like what happened with Clay and Sammy, both sure-handed receivers but were unable to haul in those rising fastballs from Tyrod. He has a nice touch on the longball and the screen passes. Needs to keep working on keeping the ball down the way Brady does.
  8. i don't see this game as having very much to do with their head coach. They shredded our defense with the same exact approach they take to every game: let Brady sling it, take advantage of his quick release/accuracy and get it to the two uncoverable guys Gronk and the Arian Midget. They were open all day, and so was Dobson. We didn't bring very much middle pressure at all, which surprised me because that's supposed to be Brady's downfall.
  9. I dont think Fred would have seen the field much at all today if we had kept him. McCoy and Karlos are the entrenched 1 and 2. Felt bad for Freddy losing the fumble to end the game, but Seattle wasn't going to win it anyway.
  10. Hmmmmm. The reason I started this post was to link a well-written article for the football fans who like X's and O's as to what the current rules are, what is legal and what isn't. I love to study the game, and have never understood these rub/pick plays. The patriots do get called for illegal picks sometimes, its a staple of their offense and they do it well. The post is informative, you're the one who's whining.
  11. Yeah Andrew Luck wants to go through the hell that Brady just did with deflategate so he asked his guys to knock a few psi off. Yeah.
  12. I saw a young teenage kid in a dolphins jersey get hit in the head with a half full beer cup once. Wish i wouldve seen the guy that did it I would have returned the favor. Pretty sad that people cant respect someone else's love for their team. I hate the Patriots like everyone else in the nation, but I would never cross the line with another passionate football fan, which someone would have to be to wear a pats jersey tomorrow.
  13. This might help you guys from freaking out on Sunday when the Cheatriots run their WR pick plays. I always thought they were illegal--and sometimes they are---but there are ways to do it that won't draw the flag and are technically legal. After reading this article I'm amazed that more teams don't do these on every play. They seem impossible to defend. Expect the cocky punk white midget duo of Amendola and Edelman to do a ton of these Sunday. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/01/15/new-england-patriots-denver-broncos-afc-championship-game-pick-plays
  14. I used to try and explain this to people, but now when I hear "two number ones" i just shake my head and move on...... The funny thing is Sammy had a hand in the two biggest plays on offense last Sunday, a great block on the Karlos run, and drawing in the deep safety on the Percy bomb (tt didnt have to look off the safety, which means he had an extra second or two to track Harvin before he threw the perfect pass). Wideouts are like pass rushers, they can have a zero in the stat column but still have a huge impact on the game.
  15. Rivers can make him look good for sure, as long as those two whack job personalities can co-exist. love to see stevie doing well.
  16. Lawson can handle gronk with safety help. He's just as long and fast.
  17. We need to give Henderson help on that right side or Ninkovich is gonna pound on TT and Shady. They're going to overload that side to confuse Henderson and the rook Miller even more, and collapse the pocket like Indy did so often last Sunday. This is where Mulligan and or Felton will earn their roster spots, backing up our RG and RT. Clay will need to chip here and there too. I rewatched the game, Henderson was really struggling out there boys. Both in protection and almost all run plays. Belichick is going to be all over that so we'd better have an answer. The other key is learning to defend the pick plays they run with the little white midgets out there in the flat. As per usual, the Pats walk the line between illegal and legal. Sometimes they get called and sometimes they don't, but they run a ton of pick plays and they're almost impossible to defend.
  18. Henderson wiffed a lot. Look for Mulligan to help him w ninkovich sunday, or TT is gonna be on his back a lot. Ill bet Whaley wishes he had the Kujo pick back and that he would have found a decent RT. Might just be rust though, I dont remember him sucking that bad last year.
  19. Cant seem to figure this one out. The last game he played (superbowl) he turns on the burners and takes one all the way for a TD. Yesterday the wind guaranteed two quarters of returnable kicks and we have the best kick return guy in the NFL watching from the sidelines. Whats the deal?
  20. Pagano and Arians seem like good guys. The reason the Colts will struggle is you can't beat Karma. They had Peyton forever, then tanked INTENTIONALLY (if you don't think they threw that last game vs the Rams then read up on it), and got the best new qb to come into the league since Tyrod Taylor 4 years ago. Oh wait, that was the same year? Either way, Dbag owner and GM equals bad karma.
  21. Bledsoe used to say boston is really a baseball town that happens to have a football team. I would think brady has changed that a little in the past decade, but the pats fans I know are a long way from the Steelers, Bills, Cowboys type fans who appreciate and understand the game. They see it more as entertainment out there, whereas we take it far more seriously and passionately. When we finally get that ring its gonna be that much sweeter.
  22. Right tackle position needs either a new guy or a new blocking scheme. Henderson might just be rusty but we can't afford a weak link. Might see a lot more of Mulligan over on that side helping the push.
  23. i was talking specifically about yesterdays game and the fact that he cost us 40 yards in penalties, Hard to spin that any other way than it's simply unacceptable and shows poor discipline. That's not negative or hateful, it's a concern that needs to be addressed asap. Personal fouls can be game changing. Two out of one player in a single game is ridiculous.
  24. has a great touch on the short passes for sure, and seems to have a feel for McCoy already. that's just a pure athlete right there.
