Well, they frequented opposite sides of the field, so it gets a little tricky to play well "together". The deep safeties watching Sammy sure didn't play so well together on this 51 yard Percy bomb

Reggie Bush signing 1 year deal with Bills
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mccoy and Touchdown Mike will carry the load, with the rook Williams as the 3rd guy until week 5, at which time we will have 4 RB's. Williams DUI thing won't get settled and served until years end. I see zero need for a 5th guy here to ride the bench. -
A Look Back at the Stevie Johnson Trade
Webster Guy replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You mean like how Atlanta traded a 2nd, 4th and next years 1st and 4th to Cleveland for Julio Jones and the Browns have ZERO players left on their team from that trade and Atlanta has an elite receiver that singlehandedly got them in the playoffs. We paid less than that for the Sammy and now we have an elite, game changer out there that gets us wins. Its ridiculous to say trading up for a WR is an enequivocal mistake. Depends on what you give up, what you get, what your needs are, draft board position--a million factors. -

Good MMQB piece by Injury-Prone Journeyman Shwartz
Webster Guy replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its not soft by any means. Just tryin to keep guys out of wheelchairs, early dementia, brain/spine trauma and not chewing painkillers just to get out of bed. Physical teams still win out. Denver and Seattle have proven that, winning recent championships with just a dozen qb completion and nasty defenses who play anything but soft. -
Two preseason games then regular season starts on labor day weekend every year. Move the stupid superbowl time to saturday at 4pm, not sunday night when the weekend is over and the next day is a workday. Get rid of appeals for suspensions. Have a 3 person committee decide what the suspension length is and get it over with. No whining, no lawyers, no players union involvement.

Football Outsiders Film Room: Tyrod Taylor
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He comes from a country where they only sell beer in government run stores, only open on weekdays, closed on weekends, evenings and holidays (precisely the time people buy the stuff). If you're looking for logic from a Canook, you're barking up the wrong Maple Tree. Webster Guy -
Listenbee has been practice squad bound since the start. Salas and Dez will get in and Hankerson/goodwin for that 5th spot. I know Easley is a fan fave but I have a hunch he isn't going to make the roster this year. I think Goodwin can pick it up and make the team because what he does is important to our passing attack. Three patterns: go route, the out n up and a his dig route is great like a lot of little dudes who can put on the brakes. Thats all he needs, he's done it before against good nfl cover guys and he gets separation. He's in great physical shape, just needs to bulk a little which won't be that hard. I don't see us cutting him when he's healthy just because he's been hurt in the past.

Comprehensive study of how Tyrod Taylor ran in 2015
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's obviously being coached to protect himself more this year, especially since it's a huge contract year for him, his GM has flat out said "he needs to be durable, and that starts with learning to slide and not take the big hits...." If the game comes down to a critical play, then you want him to do whatever it takes (block, run, read option etc), but you are gonna see a different guy this season, in a good way -
Not only did we give up TWO or THREE first round picks for Sammy, Whaley also had to throw one of his own kids in the deal.

He's the nutrition guy, either he stinks at his job or he lost Karlos Williams address. -
Help Me Propose Bills Style
Webster Guy replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you cant get a player to help, you might get the front office to let you on the field some evening when the stadium is empty. Taking a knee on the 50 yard line is something our opponents usually do at the end of the game against us, but you get the idea..... -
Shaq, Reggie and Tyrod - So Stoked
Webster Guy replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering we picked up Tyrod without burning up a draft pick and we're paying him basically nothing to lead this team, this would be an unbelievable coup for Whaley if Tyrod has a great season for us and becomes a playoff caliber qb. There are only a dozen or so solid NFL qb's in the world, if he can make that club it will be so sweet. Meanwhile, he's a really fun qb to watch. Usually the best athlete on the field, good smarts, ethic, desire, accuracy, slippery in the pocket. How can you not love this f%$ckin guy? -
False. Ralph did it. He could have sold naming rights for Rich Stadium instead of naming it after himself, but he chose the latter and the taxpayers funded far more of the renovations than they should have. At least $5m per year stolen from the community so he could have his name on the stadium. Total joke. Loved Ralph up til then, pitied him since. In fact, the governor made it seem like Albany insisted the stadium be named after Ralph, which wasn't the case at all. I followed that pretty closely and was surprised at how the old cagey bastard snuck that by everyone. In my family we still call it Rich Stadium. It sounds less pathetic.

Von Miller contract negotiations; update - signed
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Screw by compensating them to the level of the top people in their field? I would say the opposite, I can't think of a business that would guarantee someone millions even if they get hurt and can't show up to work. Or in Mario's case, start slacking and showing poor effort but still collect $750,000 per game. Come on man..... -
First time in years I'm not as hooked.
Webster Guy replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just forget about the stupid wins and the playoff drought. Enjoy the good plays and the athleticism on the field, the strategies, sacks, great passes etc. NFL averages get you one championship every 32 years, don't get bummed about the other 31. Take the pressure off yourself with the "winning is everything" approach, its a much better experience when you appreciate the game itself. -
Karlos went #feastmode in offseason
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am constantly amazed at how a professional beginning his NFL career, who is already a question mark with concussion history, would be in anything but perfect shape when he shows up to camp. It's really not that hard when you're 23 years old to stay in shape, and even easier when ITS YOUR FREAKIN JOB as an athlete. Embarassing lack of discipline. He should be fined and sent home. The trainers should be reprimanded for not keeping tabs on the players in the offseason as well. Poor Karlos. Didn't know he was so nonchalant about this opportunity he's been given. I liked the kid in interviews and on the field. Watch touchdown Mike and the rookie step up as Shady's backups and Karlos sit the bench this year. -
Looks like there was room under the bus for Clay.

No matter what this season will be a success.
Webster Guy replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It depends on Tyrod. No coach can do much in the post season without a solid, productive qb. Rex hasn't ever had the franchise qb before, but if Tyrod has a good enough season to show he's the man and we still don't get a playoff berth then you might see Rex get the boot. If TT gets hurt or has a sophomore slump it's hard to blame the head coach, and it wouldn't be logical to terminate him based on that. Its all based on qb play, as always. Rex and TT are on the same boat, they'll sink or swim together. Now teach the kid how to slide..... -
Apparently Ryan Didn't Get the Memo!
Webster Guy replied to Ronin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't get him going again, just skip his posts like the rest of us do. I mean the majority of us (fact) -
Goodell is such a weenie. He's the Al Gore of the sports world. The guy is actually trying to link Competitiveness in the NFL to having a shiny new stadium. Dude, really? What a tool. I'd rather see ownership spend millions on scouting, training, analytics and coaching. Those things can affect the quality of your team and make a real difference, unlike a stadium which has zero bearing on wins and losses. In a year when more and more people are questioning the greedy establishments in this country, Roger stands out as the poster b'tch for the 1 percent.

me too. runs too hard to stay healthy, as funny as that sounds.
