  1. I assume you're one of the ones who knows a lot. Well, I think Gilmore is as overrated as Byrd was when we refused to pay him stupid money. Good, but by no means great. Time will tell... By the way the Patriots aren't known for great personnel moves. Even the Hogan thing got blown out of proportion, he averaged a whopping 2.3 catches per game last year. Can't wait to see Gilmore get smoked by Corey Davis next year
  2. Sammy is not an over the middle guy. Too fragile, and he's so good on the outside it doesn't make sense to risk the body on interior stuff. Davis and Williams both do it, but that's college. Dennison has a few receivers in this draft he wants, I hope they give him a chance to pick the next Julio Jones--corey davis
  3. Funny they said shanahan was committed to the running game. Until his team was up by 8 points with 4 minutes left on the opponents 20 yard line, and he decides to take a page from the Pete Carroll School of How to Lose a Championship by Getting Cute and decide to throw the ball on consecutive downs. Sack, then holding call, then you lose. Hey shanny, at least you have Goodwin now, your troubles are over.... Sorry, didn't mean to hijack. I just laughed when I read he commits to the run.
  4. Our fatal flaws were sub-par defense and an awful kicking game, (kickoffs, fg's and schmidt's 29th ranked punting hurt us at every turn). We ranked ahead of several playoff teams in avg points.
  5. He still has a top 5 combine 40yd time. But definitely time to go. The first thing he should tell shanahan is that if they get to the other teams 20 yard line with 4 minutes left in the Superbowl with an 8 point lead then maybe running the ball would be a good idea, no chance for sacks or holding, great chance to win the championship. Then say you were just kidding, laugh and pretend you got a call on your cell phone, and walk out.
  6. Don't forget Big 99 and Shaq were non factors for basically the first half of the season, Bryant got hurt, we should be much better prepared upfront this year to come out swinging (fingers crossed with Marcel as always)
  7. Davis is the next Andre Reed. Incredible YAC, the best freaking receiver in the country. A ball snatching, strong, fast dude who loves the cold weather. I'm gonna vomit if he's there and we don't take him. He can be Julio Jones good.
  8. I can't understand why some people don't like Thursday nite football. I love it, and wish it would replace Monday night. By Monday everyone is footballed out, but Thursday is at the end of the work week and the nation is ready to watch a game. If it's the Bills it's a great occasion and fun party, if it's not the Bills, it's a team I wouldn't be watching otherwise, so it's fun to see some off market teams play on prime time. The teams don't like it because of the short week but they get paid enough to suck it up and get through it. Long live TNF baby!
  9. Dinosaur BBQ wango tango wings. Best in the world by far. They slow cook them in a wood smoker for a whole day, breaks down the sinew but they stay moist. Then pulled off the bird, grilled and tossed in the wango tango sauce bowl. If you've had one, you know..... Way ahead of the pack
  10. Waggles? Isn't that the Harry Potter term for people without magic powers? If I'm Dennison I probably am pushing for a QB this draft, but I hope it doesn't happen until next year. Whatever he does, it needs to incorporate the Roman, A Lynn foundation in place here, we can really punish teams with our ground game.
  11. Who had 8 TD's and almost 600 yards on 100 carries. Not your typical backup by any stretch....
  12. Leads the NFL in yards per carry at 5.7, never fumbles, can get around the edge which is really rare in the pros and has good vision between the tackles. I know we'll get a chance to match any offer, so maybe we still retain him, but I was listening to Murph on the radio today saying most teams would rather draft a rookie runner in the 5th round and have him for cheap than to sign a guy like TD Mike. I totally disagree. The guy is exceptional and most 5th round picks are out of football in a few years. I hope we're planning on matching whatever offers come his way. If Shady gets an injury, like all RB's do from time to time, and Jonathan "the leaper" Williams is our lead man, we're going to regret it. Gotta keep your role players, they're a big part of good teams.....
  13. they kill me. NFL rushing touchdown leader, doesn't fumble, pass protects well, good teammate by all accounts. Lets cut the guy.......
  14. Dude if you're asking how Andrew Luck has worked out then you need to start following the NFL. Last season with a crappy supporting cast he threw for 4200 yards and 31 TD's, so the answer to your question is he's an elite NFL franchise QB. 2015 was an injury year for him, but the year before that he threw for 40 touchdowns and almost 5000 yards.
  15. He graded out well, versatile lineman, still has upside and value to our team. Plus his last name is an acronym for Goddamn Rookie Of the Year
  16. I don't get it either. Small cap hit for a guy that would outplay most rooks next year. We don't even have a 4th round pick either, this is a head scratcher. Every corner gets beat multiple times per game, this kid was no exception but he was above average. Weird move.
  17. We need to retain Zach and I think we will structure something that works. Then we need to acquire two safeties and another corner. One of the safeties will probably be a veteran, then draft a CB and safety. If Hooker or Adams falls to us it's a no brainer.
  18. Never fear, this is the year we draft Corey Davis in the first, the next Andre Reed. This dude is a game changer
  19. There is not a single franchise QB to be had this year. It's the Geno EJ year all over again. Take advantage of the defensive depth this year and get your boys for the run in 3 years. Draft QB next year. Win Now= bad long term decisions and this club needs long term thinking. A coach is paid to win his next game, but a good GM and owner need to have a vision for years down the road and draft/acquire accordingly. Otherwise you're just a .500 team plodding along and rolling the dice for the next Dak Prescott. Whaley has made some solid FA pickups and trades, but his strength isn't college evaluation. Pegs needs to force him to see further down the road than just the draft in front of him. Hockey teams do this very well
  20. I disagree. Seymour can and will step up. He's a baller, just needed a season to soak up the data. Will play just as well as Gilmore but has more character and energy. He was a great grab.
  21. Well we know the only way to win a Lombardi trophy is to draft a franchise qb. The problem is the head coach wants to win now and the GM might be too afraid to tank a season in order to get ahead for the next decade. TT is good enough to get you 8 or 9 wins but not get you a trophy. Personally I'd avoid drafting a QB at all this year, bring in a vet and draft your franchise guy in 2018
  22. He crushed the preseason last year and kind of underperformed in the regular season compared to where I thought he'd be based on his early flashes of dominance. But yeah he's for real, I think we weren't planning on taking a Dlineman last year but he was graded so high and sitting there in the 3rd and we had to get him. He and Shaq are the future, this will be their system to grow in.
  23. Studies show the combine is most important for DE, OLB, and CB. It’s least important for WR and FS. WR was the only position for which the combine didn’t have significant predictive power.
  24. I like the depth of knowledge and that nobody criticizes me for being naked and/or on the toilet when I post. Other boards just seem so against that. Like my hero Dude Lebowski once said, "It's All About Feeling Free Man....". Wait, maybe that was Rosa Parks...
  25. Hey I'm an optimist but TD Mike needs to keep his head down more and learn from the Shady School of How to Avoid the Concussion Hits or he's gonna be in trouble. The poor dude took some season ending hits last year trying to squeeze out the extra yard. I would rank TD Mike as one of the top backups in the league, up there with guys like Coleman and D'Angelo Williams. How many backups can get around the outside edge like that speedy little beast? This was a great find by Whaley. He really has done a good job uncovering some gems in free agency.
