"The top 6 league would have a much better chance of landing a decent TV contract due to the high talent level of the teams."
I don't think the top 6 teams in your scenario would get a contract that supports 3-4 mil per player. Football survives because it gets a big TV contract. They get this because people watch football. People don't watch hockey on a national scale. Even your "good" teams. People will tune in to watch the 2 worst teams on Monday night, but they won't tune in to watch the 2 best teams in the NHL finals. I think it is a shame, but that's the reality.
In that 1980 game, Bert Jones set a record for most consecutive completed passes in a row (17 I think). It was my first Bills game. The record has since been broken.
I'd start Manning. Tennessee plays pressure D and leaves man to man coverage. Manning's quick release and Edgerrin to keep them honest makes me think bombs away for Indy.
NE, with Charlie Weiss, do different things every week (20 passes in a row in some games, 50 carries in others... ya never know).
Pace WOULD be awesome. I wonder if we would have to break the bank to get him. I suspect we would and I would rather sign Jennings and keep our #2 pick and McGahee.
OK, I think we should have a thread where people make predictions that are in reality improbable, but could happen. Then if someone actually hits one, they get some little award.
OK, I'll start:
Lee Evans will catch 2 TD's this Sunday.
Well, I dislike the mentioned black analysts (Stuart Scott and Michael Irvin). Not because they're black, because they're annoying to me.
I love Joe Morgan as a baseball announcer- the best in my opinion.
But Kenny Mayne annoys me the most- tries to pull off a "Bill Murray, look at how clever and smug I am" kind of thing (that Murray can pull off).
Also, go find a lawyer in that town who knows the DA. It might cost you a little on the front end, but if the guy has a good relationship with the DA, you could benefit.
Am I the only one who doesn't really like Jimmy Buffet's music? I have tried and listened to a lot of his stuff... just don't get it... been to a live show once...fair
Anyway, I'm happy you're happy... have a good time!
Interesting read. I ran across this and thought the PPP board might like it. Usually just a TSW poster.

Well, one thing you can do for bigger text is to go to the bottom center of the threads and click "Lo-Fi version". Then go to the top of your browser and make text size bigger (In Internet Explorer it is VIEW/TEXT SIZE/LARGEST)
People will do some crazy things to break a Guiness World Record. Sounds like a lot of people had fun building a burrito over a mile and a half long.
I hear you that food and food distribution is a problem in many places, but I don't think that building a really long burrito added to those problems.
