  1. Couldn't agree with you more. No sane Buckeye wants this; it only takes away from the rivalry. Michigan is and will be the #2 team when all is said and done.
  2. The difference is we get more studies on the masturbation habits of old men and the sex lives of Vietnamese hookers and no more bridges to nowhere. Sounds like a win in my book...
  3. 1. The ad against Ron Kind in Wisconsin, accusing him of supporting research on Vietnamese hookers, bi-sexual Alaskan Indians and the masturbation habits of old men (no electrodes hooked to their unmentionables) and teenage girls (with electrodes). 2. The RNC ad against Michael Arcuri relating to the phone sex call (an aide of his mistakenly dialed a phone sex line at 330 in the afternoon for one minute; a NYS department was one digit off). 3. The infamous Harold Ford ad.
  4. Hitchen's articles alone were (and are, I guess, though I've soured on him lately) the cover price.
  5. They may not be worse, but the reglious/fascist right wing and delusional chicken hawk neocons are right up there with this lot.
  6. Yes...and do you see that talking squirrel over in the corner. Not the one playing poker, but the one talking to the cat..
  7. I see crazy is the flavor of the day here at TBD. I'll take a large....
  8. Will you give the rest of us from the lower 48 back our tax subsidies? (j/k)
  9. Just one question: if Leinhart makes the Pro Bowl or leads the Cardinals to a significant turnaround and JP never makes it as a starting QB, will people finally acknowledge that not drafting ML was a mistake? To be fair, I will acknowledge not drafting him was a brilliant move if JP is the starting QB after next season. I'm just trying to get a fixed point at which these arguments become rational and there is a resolution (foolishly perhaps). Oh, and does anyone know where Jack Kemp was born?
  10. Who wins in a fight: the chihuahua or the gecko?
  11. At least they both scheduled perennial top-25 programs for their OOC schedule. MD and Miami will both play in bowls this year. No one Rutgers has played yet will get a sniff from a bowl committee. Also, UL has beaten a 4-2 KSU team and .500 Kentucky team that is better anyone Rutgers has played. If they win in the BE, I'll give them all the credit they deserve. Until then, the top 25 ranking is a fraud and no knows just how good Rutgers is.
  12. Try this logic: 1. WVU played Maryland and UL played Miami. These teams, even in their current weakened state, are both far better than anything Rutgers has seen. 2. The only D-1 team Rutgers has beaten with a winning record is USF, whose run has included victories over McNeese State, Florida International, Central Florida and UConn. 3. WVU and UL still have Sagarin ratings in the D-1 level, compared with Rutgers, which ranks 135 out of 119 D-1 programs..too funny!
  13. I believe WVU is a top-5 team and that UL is a top-10 team (with Brohm).
  14. Wow...talk about extrapolating. I root for the BE (including Rutgers) when they play out of conference. What I'm challenging you on is that Rutgers is a top 25 team. I'll be more than happy to admit that Rutgers is much better now than the early 1990s. That being said, the wins they have to date mark them as frauds. Their Sagarin schedule is ranked 135...that should be more than enough to question a top-25 ranking.
  15. With all due respect, listen to yourself. "They beat USF (score should have been much further apart) on the road." That's really funny if you think a road victory at USF is proof Rutgers has arrived. Until they beat someone other than UNC (1-4), Illinois (1-4, who even SU beat), a .500 MAC team in Ohio and a fledgling USF program (albeit, a program with great potential), they are nothing but a fraud. Also, I've seen Rutgers a whole bunch over the last few years. With their OOC, they have absolutely no room to talk. I'm betting that they lose to UL, WVU, Pitt and one of SU/UConn.
  16. Schiano is way overrated right now. Rutgers has beaten no one this year. If they were to pull off a solid 3rd place finish in the BE, maybe he'd have a shot. Until then, this team is the biggest fraud in the top-25. The funny part about this is if he had turned Rutgers down originally, he would have been coach within 5 months (if memory serves me correctly). Talk about fate smacking you in the back of the head.
