  1. Despite what was said, the rumor seems to really have pissed him off and forced his hand.
  2. I would hate to give up on this kid. Would be foolish given our depth on the DL unless we get a 2nd day pick (unlikely).
  3. The notion that Allen looked "bad" yesterday is being exaggerated. So many of his balls were dropped yesterday, some in part due to his velocity. This isn't to say he doesn't need work, but the notion he had a bad practice seems a bit of a stretch.
  4. He played all three positions this year (started inside then moved outside due to injuries), but agree he is a better fit outside.
  5. OSU Draft: LB Chris Worley. Smart, versatile and a great fit in our scheme. Love him day 3. Played ILB this year but may be a better fit outside. I think he will be a better pro than a college player. Don't draft: JT Barrett.... Syracuse I don't think our LBs (Franklin and Bennett) warrant selections based on size and scheme fit. They might be worth a flyer in the 7th or as UDFAs. I think Steve Ishmael is interesting later or as a UDFA at WR,. Some of the seniors in our secondary (Butler and Martin) are developmental prospects. Martin offers some versatility and Butler might be looked at as a nickel, but both are UDFAs.
  6. If reasonably certain, you give up whatever it takes to get your QB for the next 12-17years. It may set you back a year, but that year is a lost/learning curve year for the QB anyway.
  7. Prediction: Eric Mangini ends up as an assistant here
  8. When one of the QB's not named Brady wins the SB, we will have an interesting discussion...
  9. What Brian Daboll, others have said about new Alabama offensive coordinator's style http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2017/02/what_brian_daboll_others_have.html
  10. Marc Ross and Jerry Reese off the top of my head. I also would love to bring in Scot McCloughan. Edit: Look at this list! http://www.nbcsports.com/washington/balitmore-ravens/looking-back-some-scot-mccloughans-best-draft-picks#slide-15
  11. Great sign for the organization we are developing. I hope we go outside for this one, given some of the talent on the market.
  12. Two questions: 1. Do we grab a QB in #1 with Smith? 2. Can you explain the bolded? Are we hoping/thinking Allen isn't a #1 pick and hoping to get him later? Thanks and ignore the hate.
  13. This Manuel/Allen narrative you keep pitching is a stretch.
  14. A Marshawn Lynch they never replaced, a nice WR that he helped develop, a middling Jermaine Kearse and a disappointing, failed, Jimmy Graham. You didn't even get to the OL and what they did there...
  15. Take your shot to move up and grab your QB. This is the first time in years we've had the ammo to pull something off and get a QB who can lead us for a decade or more. I love this team and TT is incredible how he handled a difficult situation, but this isn't sustainable in the long-term without a QB.
  16. The Marrone hate continues to be irrational. They are nice people.
