  1. A good tutor. The concept of a 'brand new' middle linebacker in this defense (especially a rookie) in concerning. Given the rumblings about how long it takes players to 'get it' with this defense, it might make for a long year on D. I'd prefer a free agent in this capacity over a draft pick but it's best to take the talent when you can get it.

  2. I'm a big Bill Simmons fan. Was listening to his podcast the other day he said Klay and Steph are 2 of the top 10 3 point shooters of all time. Just a tough team to stop.

Kudos to the Knicks for a nice win over the wolves. Kristaps looking strong. Blocking everyone and showing off a smooth jumper.

The bolded is more fact than hyperbole. He was swatting a lot of shots...including an attempted 3 after fighting through a pick. 20, 15 and 9 is a pretty good box score for Melo too.

  3. I think you're conflating his later years with his early ones. He had an absolute cannon in 1986 in his first season with the Bills, and there's a reason he was drafted so high in 1983 - great arm strength. It wasn't as strong as Elway's, George's, or Favres--all way above the norm--but it was plenty strong. He didn't have a weaker arm than Moon, and as for Cunningham, it's hard to judge given how erratic he was. Regardless, he was a big-armed QB. I'd compare him in his prime to someone like Roethlisberger.

Fully agree. Kelly, as the saying goes, could 'make all the throws.' He had a very good arm.
