Chandler is a guy we picked up off the dumpster. I think he's played above his head for the most part. Definitely an off year this year for sure. Last week being the most obvious example.
Heck...I'll go one step further. To your point, I thought Trent was going to be the guy. He played very well initially and showed a lot of stuff you can't measure in a stat sheet. Then it fell to pieces. Maybe it was him finding his mean; maybe it was the hit in AZ. Who knows?
All I know is that (currently) our team invested in a guy they believed in. So far, he has not been overwhelmed and I hope he progresses. I'm, as the saying goes, cautiously optimistic.
My 'hope' for EJ this year was to show progress and not appear 'overwhelmed' by the NFL game despite being asked to start as a rookie. So far, so good. People need to seriously relax. If any point of reference is needed, see NY Jets.
Amen.
And here we go... http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/11/29/21669088-violence-flares-as-shoppers-slug-it-out-for-the-best-black-friday-deals?lite
very true. I had a colleague get sued for damages in the neighborhood of a million bucks. Total BS lawsuit that was a glorified cash grab. The malpractice insurance carrier told them they were going to settle with the plaintiff for 10K. My friend said 'no way.' He wanted to fight it. His carrier said OK....and asked him to sign a waiver that he would be responsible for the total cash settlement if a larger one was awarded at trial. In other words, "waive your insurance and go fight yourself." The insurance companies, like other private companies, will often throw a little cash at problems rather than fight for principle.
It's fair enough to argue the validity of fillibusters. The controversy in changing this rule, however, is equal parts technique deployed and timing of same. I believe Reid would have called this a "Bush-league" maneuver if it happened during W's time.
I understand this to some degree but it seemed like Dierdorf said once a quarter..."You will never see a finer (pass, play, tackle, throw, play call, run, catch, quarterback, etc)." He was truly the king of hyperbole.
Exactly. Messianic Jews are Jewish people who recognize Christ as the Messiah and choose to recognize their traditions/heritage as well. If Bush spoke at a traditional Jewish temple, would the OP be outraged?
That's great!
You better watch it. Batman will take you down as well. I have no idea the ramifications/expenses incurred here and I can 'see' your point. In this case, however, I'm just gonna enjoy it and hope the expenses were 'donated' and/or covered appropriately.

The majority of voting people in this country are clueless. This certainly hammers home the point.
Buddy Nix, wiping his brow as he leaves the building, says to Coach Marrone...."Your momma sure does care about you getting a head coaching job in the NFL."
