We should all hope EJ becomes great. Everyone's welcome to their assessment but nothing wrong with rooting for him. People act like they'd be happier if he was publicly pouting.... and last in and first out of practice. KO's just better right now. EJ will have to prove otherwise over time...or remain in current role.

Likewise... I think the trade discussion has to take into account Whaley's view of Sammy. He got his #1 guy by swapping firsts and giving up a first and fourth. That's not exactly a king's ransom to get the #1 player in the draft. As for the on the field stuff: Sammy has played hurt, made huge game changing plays, put up great numbers, endured poor QB play and then a subsequent QB change. He's gonna be a monster. Also, barring one mental error against the Jets, he's done and said everything the way you'd hope he would.

I've seen a few interviews over the years where Alex Van Halen has been described as the 'worst dancer' ever. They did many takes of these 'moves' and the final cut still showed him mostly out of step/time.

I'd tip my hat to Bochy as well. With a man on second in the fifth, Aoki smoked that ball the other way down the Left field line off Bumgarner. I think, off the bat, 'everyone' thought it was gonna be a tie game. Credit to Bochy for going 'defense' in selecting his lineup....and for having his left fielder in absolutely perfect position for that at bat. Oh...and Bumgarner is ridiculous.

Ugh. Nothing else to add here. Feel terrible for him.
