Besides helping Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots' quarterbacks, McDaniels has aided coach Bill Belichick in the play-calling duties. It's only the fifth year in the league for McDaniels but he could become the next great coordinator fairly soon. If McDaniels wants to one day become a head coach, he'll probably need to become an offensive coordinator in order to get his chance. He would have a much easier time getting notoriety as the Bills' offensive coordinator than staying with the Patriots in the shadow of Belichick and Brady. I could care less about the head coach

Everyone is jumping around and wreaking chaos here. There's no reason to be losing our heads over this. Mularkey was leftover trail of Tom Donahoe. He was going to get blackballed had he stayed, either way he wasn't going to have much impact or authority for next season. The likelihood of Marv coming back is being blown up by the media. Haslett is not a bad option, he was the victim of bad management and ownership of a bad organization. He was also the only coach to ever take the Saints to the playoffs if I'm not mistaken.

Mularkey was blackballed. It worked out for the best however.

Mularkey will have his hands tied behind his back. Levy will bring in cooridinators that will run each unit and Mularkey will take a back seat for learning.

I'd be pleased to see former head coaches hired at the 2 coordinator positions to kind of outnumber Mularkey if you know what I mean. I'd also like to see Charlie Joiner come back.

While it's common sense Marv doesn't have GM experience, but are you telling me he's not going to try to bring better to this club? I think he will improve our drafts, whether it's just his input or his hiring of better scouts. And I think he will act like a professional and bring organization and stability back to this ball club. He's not going to be some control freak who wants to give his friends a lending hand with jobs before they lose the ones they have now. He will get the people who work for him motivated to do a better job and he will get the players motivated to do a better job. Like it or not, he doesn't step or speak as slow as TD.

USC was overrated. Pete Carroll's decline will now begin now that recruiting class is leaving. Along with at least a dozen other players. Vince Young = Underrated!
