  1. Thank you for that.
  2. Doesn't the team player retires from retain his rights for one year? In past, players who retired, but wanted to return to football had to sit the year out.
  3. 10-3 feels pretty damn good to me. Just win - that's what matters. They won't all be pretty wins. Other teams are good, too.
  4. Maybe so, but the better-coached teams will have fewer tells. The OP is spot-on. These tells can change outcome of a game and MUST be addressed ... and RE-addressed throughout the season and not just during the bye week when teams self-evaluate. Looking for these tells needs to be an ongoing process. To the OP ... if your observations are accurate you should apply for a quality control position with the Bills - good stuff!
  5. I once briefly met a guy at a conference years ago who boasted some inside knowledge of the Hoffa disappearance - guy was a bit of an oddball, so credibility was highly questionable, imo. Anyhow, says Hoffa was incinerated in a crucible at some Ford plant in or around Detroit from which poured the molten steel later to be stamped into Ford bodies. So, if you're still driving around in a '75 Ford (or perhaps '76 if the steel was for the new model year), you just might be driving around with a tiny bit of the essence of Jimmy Hoffa in the body of your vehicle. Crazy story.
  6. I still remember the days when Andy Reid couldn't win a conference championship game to save his life back in his Eagles days. He lost a divisional playoff game followed by losing 3 NFC championship games before finally making it to Super Bowl (which he lost). No one expects Reid to lose these days! McDermott needs to stick around - his time will come and likely very soon.
  7. Thanks - I've corrected my post.
  8. Too bad Gilliam couldn't sustain block just a split-second longer so McKenzie could have added (edit) another TD 2-pt conversion Sunday against the Browns. Gilliam looked well-positioned to take that guy out, but the defender just pushed past it and made a nice tackle on McKenzie at the pylon.
  9. Geez, no lead seems safe, lately. Nevertheless, congrats on the W, Buffalo!!
  10. A little less of "the sky is falling" from John Murphy would be nice.
  11. I believe Josh is going to rebound and in a big way. Yes, he's been in some kind of a funk past few weeks, but maybe it's also time for Dorsey to change-up his play selection & game-planning ... I don't know, but I'm not giving up on Allen by a long shot. He has a pattern of improving after setbacks. The guy has the expectations of the sports world on his shoulders, as well he should, but I think he'll bounce back and become more consistent. Side note: Von, when you get a free moment, maybe you can stop over with the Sabres and explain the "don't blink" concept to them - I think maybe they need to hear it - thank you!
  12. If my memory is any good, seems like some of the most miserable weather games in past decades were 3 point losses to the likes of the Browns & Bengals - 6-to-3 or 16-13 type scores. Would like to see a strong Bills victory this weekend, but just get the W at least.
  13. Yes, if McDermott was to ever voluntarily step down, but no, otherwise. McDermott's been a very good HC. He's not perfect, but seems to learn from past mistakes. He's only missed playoffs one season and the 17-yr playoff drought is not that distant of a memory yet to forget about.
  14. Not sure if it was Diggs or another player, but I recall a guy actually removing mouth piece when approaching line scrimmage instead of not just using it at all - odd.
  15. I found Snyder's remarks on Wilson - may not be everything he said, but this was captured ... “We are deeply saddened by the passing of the great Ralph Wilson. All of us have lost a NFL legend whose passion for his team was inspiring. We will always be thankful for Ralph’s contributions to the development of the AFL and NFL.” Daniel Snyder, Redskins owner This and more reactions to Wilson's passing here: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/25/league-reacts-to-the-passing-of-ralph-wilson/

  17. Credit due to Packer #90 Jarran Reed! He could have absolutely destroyed Allen on the TD to Diggs (and maybe even have gotten away with it given inconsistencies with roughing the passer calls, of late), but looks to have pulled up ...
  18. Teams rarely share their draft boards or grades on players - not even after the draft. This concept would essentially make draft boards an open book. While the current system may be imperfect, this solution won't cut it.
  19. Correction - it takes 11 players, doing their job, to complete a pass.
  20. Good point!
  21. How about this for field goals? ... 😀 ...
  22. Looks like the Bills released #93 Bryant today as per Bills' transaction page. Curious decision ... https://www.buffalobills.com/team/transactions/ 3rd on list ... "Placed WR Jamison Crowder on the Injured Reserve list. Released DT Brandin Bryant." Perhaps they are hoping to get him back on PS, but he has to clear waivers, first?
