  1. Well, it is hard to argue with the guy's success. But doesn't it stand to reason that if he improved his throwing motion (to get up-to-par with the next level of football, that it would have served him well in college ball, too? The guy was a great leader and could run for some tough yards in short yardage situations, but it seems he could have benefited at UF from an improved throwing motion.
  2. I have to agree with you. I'm no expert in throwing motion and probably could not have identified the weakness to begin with, but clearly about everyone in NFL circles says he had a bad throwing motion in college, so it seems it should have been obvious to his college coaches, too, and something they would have worked on. I don't get it, either.
  3. The 12 televisions were in a repeating loop of Jauron saying "It's hard to win in the NFL". That explains a few things.

  5. I want to see what Gailey and his staff can do with Edwards. As a fan, I'll give Trent the benefit of the doubt -- for one more season. But he needs to really show something this season or at the very least, finish strong over the last 8 games.
  6. Same here -- I thought it couldn't hurt to bring him on. Glad that didn't happen. 'nuff punks on this team as it is.
  7. #30 was one of the first players I remember as a young Bills fan. Maybe wasn't a pro bowl type of guy, but always seemed to play an important role. RIP.
  8. Peters DID NOT WANT TO BE HERE. Why don't people get this? Yes, he was certainly better than anything we had last year or going into this year, but the guy didn't want to play for Buffalo and it showed on the field.
  9. Well, before the pro-bowl QB was carted off the field, maybe one more win.
  10. zero picks for Buffalo four compensatory picks to the Patriots.
  11. No way to Culpepper. I'll never forget how bad he sucked while with Miami playing against the Bills. No, no, no.
  12. If there's a silver lining with all the injuries, it's that the Bills should have a lot of experienced depth. Now, I didn't necessarily say GOOD depth, I only said EXPERIENCED depth, but experience is part of the mix in order to get better, so the depth should at least be decent this season.
  13. Yeah, but he played for a losing team, so how could he possibly be any good? ... well, according to the logic of some on this board. Seriously, I like the acquisition. People need to realize that upgrading is a process. You don't/can't plug-in pro-bowlers across your entire roster, but you do the best you can. If you can find a guy who is serviceable, comes to play, brings a good work ethic at a position where you are thin, then you bring him in. The Bills did just that and I applaud them. It wasn't intended to be a splashy signing, but it's an effort to fortify a position we are thin at given Butler's retirement. There are limits to what can be accomplished in free agency and you work the best you can within those boundaries. Nix is doing fine so far, IMO.
  14. I have a very simple outlook on racism. The FIRST person to MENTION race in any conversation IS the racist.
  15. What a dumb thread title. So, according to your thread title, if the Bills let Jarius Byrd go, no team should pick him up because the Bills are a losing team, right? Or, if Levitrie was available, teams should take a pass because Buffalo is a losing team. What a dumb, dumb, dumb argument you make. Good players are available on both winning and losing teams. Winning teams probably have a few more of them, but beyond that, your argument is senseless.
  16. Relax. At least they didn't sign him to a $49 million contract like Marv did with Derrick Dockery. The Bills need experience and depth on the OL and Green helps provide that.
  17. +1 I do think we overpaid for Evans, but he's here now, so let's use him.
  18. Yeah, I know about all that, but it still doesn't excuse the behavior in my mind.
  19. It was Charles Barkley who SPIT ON A YOUNG GIRL in the stands during an NBA game. Does anyone really care what this low-life thinks about ANYTHING?! I sure do not. What piece of ****. Edit: BTW, the NBA became irrelevant to me when the Braves left town.
  20. My thought is that BOTH Nix and Whaley are diamonds. The future looks bright. But, of course, it's got to actually happen -- gotta get to the playoffs or it just doesn't matter.
  21. They already pre-voted him in the HOF 8 years ago, but the news has not yet been released until the required time passes.
  22. 2010 or 2011? Your subject line says 2011, your questions suggest 2010 because you say 2011 draft.
  23. Bingo. Defenses know exactly what Trent is going to do and stop it cold. When there's no deep passing attempts, that's what defenses will do. That was refreshing part about Fitz's play -- he wasn't afraid to sling it down the field. Not saying Fitz is our answer at QB here, just saying he opened up another dimension to the offense. And who knows, maybe our existing QBs can succeed in the new offense that will be installed and with new coaching.
  24. ... and when you convert your 3rd downs. That's the problem with Trent. He can check-down all day long for all I care, but he's got to move the chains and bottom line is he rarely did that.
  25. I have to agree. While QB is an issue -- and some would argue the most important issue -- it just isn't. We have serviceable quarterbacks, but we are severely depleted at LB and some other key positions and must address these in order to be competitive.
