Well, it is hard to argue with the guy's success. But doesn't it stand to reason that if he improved his throwing motion (to get up-to-par with the next level of football, that it would have served him well in college ball, too? The guy was a great leader and could run for some tough yards in short yardage situations, but it seems he could have benefited at UF from an improved throwing motion.

I have to agree with you. I'm no expert in throwing motion and probably could not have identified the weakness to begin with, but clearly about everyone in NFL circles says he had a bad throwing motion in college, so it seems it should have been obvious to his college coaches, too, and something they would have worked on. I don't get it, either.

I want to see what Gailey and his staff can do with Edwards. As a fan, I'll give Trent the benefit of the doubt -- for one more season. But he needs to really show something this season or at the very least, finish strong over the last 8 games.

#30 was one of the first players I remember as a young Bills fan. Maybe wasn't a pro bowl type of guy, but always seemed to play an important role. RIP.

If there's a silver lining with all the injuries, it's that the Bills should have a lot of experienced depth. Now, I didn't necessarily say GOOD depth, I only said EXPERIENCED depth, but experience is part of the mix in order to get better, so the depth should at least be decent this season.

People need to realize that upgrading is a process. You don't/can't plug-in pro-bowlers across your entire roster, but you do the best you can. If you can find a guy who is serviceable, comes to play, brings a good work ethic at a position where you are thin, then you bring him in. The Bills did just that and I applaud them. It wasn't intended to be a splashy signing, but it's an effort to fortify a position we are thin at given Butler's retirement. There are limits to what can be accomplished in free agency and you work the best you can within those boundaries. Nix is doing fine so far, IMO.

Winning teams probably have a few more of them, but beyond that, your argument is senseless.

Relax. At least they didn't sign him to a $49 million contract like Marv did with Derrick Dockery. The Bills need experience and depth on the OL and Green helps provide that.

Bingo. Defenses know exactly what Trent is going to do and stop it cold. When there's no deep passing attempts, that's what defenses will do. That was refreshing part about Fitz's play -- he wasn't afraid to sling it down the field. Not saying Fitz is our answer at QB here, just saying he opened up another dimension to the offense. And who knows, maybe our existing QBs can succeed in the new offense that will be installed and with new coaching.

I have to agree. While QB is an issue -- and some would argue the most important issue -- it just isn't. We have serviceable quarterbacks, but we are severely depleted at LB and some other key positions and must address these in order to be competitive.
