  1. The return doesn't really matter. He's not helping this team now and that's all that matters. If there is no return to be had, then release him.
  2. Perhaps, but I just don't TRUST him any longer and I don't think any team would give much more than that for him after this season.
  3. Trade him for whatever can get for him. He's no longer an asset. Maybe some team will send a 5th or 6th rounder for him. Sadly, that is all he is worth now.
  4. No way! The Bills need to get younger ... not become the next "over-the-hill gang".
  5. My comparison is straight-forward, too ... Brady has 10 SB appearances (winning 7 of them) and Allen has zero SB appearances. Until Allen accomplishes something other than great stats, that's all the comparison that is needed.
  6. The Bills are on the outside looking in, imo. Getting defeated is one thing, but not showing up and then GIVING UP after an early 14-point deficit is unacceptable. Now, we cannot trust the team to at even COMPETE in these big games, let alone win one, and THAT is a big problem. Unless there is some sort of significant shake-up in coaching I don't see Bills even winning the division next season. Sorry, just how I see it. I hope I'm wrong.
  7. In today's NFL there is no longer 2-3 year transition period. Coordinators barely stay with one team for 3 years any longer.
  8. Not so sure about the "They'll get over it" remark. This has been ongoing for much of the season. He no longer seems to think that Josh is "his guy". Diggs wants to win a championship now. Once Diggs has some time to reflect on the season and his time in Buffalo, I think he'll feel the same way he does now. I can see Diggs requesting a trade.
  9. I looked and did not find yet, but I did find this very interesting link with some good details about what is planned to be in place for the new stadium, in general, as well as specifically in regards to media facilities (for those who may understand all this stuff) ... https://esd.ny.gov/sites/default/files/news-articles/ESD-Bills-Stadium-Analysis-Summary-FINAL-11-1-21.pdf (from Nov 1, 2021 ... Preliminary Buffalo Bills Stadium Analysis, Empire State Development) What follows below in italics is an excerpt from the "Broadcast Facilities" section, found inside "Category Four: Media Facilities" heading at the above link provided ... Broadcast Facilities Broadcast facilities include spaces for remote game operations controls (scoreboards, video, etc.) as well as spaces, which would allow for in-house video production. Broadcast Facilities include the following spaces: Courtside Broadcast cabling, Head End/MATV/Broadcast Cable (cabling termination racks/room at truck location), possible ENG Room cabling, (Electronic news gathering), Scoreboard/AV Control Room (includes Scoreboard/Video and Tape library storage) and Interview Room (refer to Press multipurpose space). These facilities should have their own HVAC system to maintain adequate cooling and humidity control on a 24-hour basis. The ENG and MATV Rooms will contain equipment and control operations and should be completely cross connected via cable tray systems, etc. to TV truck locations, Scoreboard/ Audio Control room and TV facilities in the bowl. These rooms should be highly sound isolated and ideally have raised computer floor for maximum cabling flexibility. It is recommended that the ENG cabling termination and MATV headend equipment be in separate rooms if possible. Head End/The Broadcast Cabling ENG Termination Racks/Room is to be located near the TV truck parking spaces. Essentially, this area will function as a large "junction box". TV truck power will be located on the exterior wall of this room. Upon University resolution of location, function and size of any in-arena video scoreboard display production system, coordination between space and adjacencies for the video production, TV truck and ENG cabling and MATV headend rooms must be finalized. The ENG Cabling Room is equivalent in function to the Broadcast Cabling area with the exception that it services local radio and TV station cabling and equipment. As parking for these vehicles is not at the truck dock, it is not essential that this room be adjacent to the dock, however it should be easy for broadcasters to access. Cable tie-lines and pathways should be provided between the TV trucks, ENG room and Scoreboard Video control rooms.
  10. From Brady's vantage point, he'd probably like nothing more than to play the Bills twice a season (at least one more time, anyhow!) as well as get the opportunity to take on Belichick twice to help bolster his side to the ongoing "was it Brady or Belichick who had the most impact?" discussion.
  11. ... fixed it! 😅
  12. I would give it about one half of football with Josh throwing checkdowns for this fan base to give Allen the moniker of "Captain Checkdown". Can't win.
  13. Yes, the drop nearly cost the season, but one could also say his nice catch saved the season. These games always come down to big plays and making just ONE more big play than the opponent and Shakir provided one of those important big plays. I can't be that hard on him. I like Shakir.
  14. It felt like it was 6 hours long.
  15. Maybe I'm to blame for the Pro Bowl becoming a flag football game. I suggested it nearly 3 years ago ... 😄
  16. Yeah, I agree - Bills should be okay. Hope to see the Bills' pass rush get to him very early in the game so that he never gets an opportunity to develop any confidence.
  17. Looking at Thompson's Kansas State highlights ... he looks evasive in the pocket in a style similar to Allen. He still looks to throw while escaping the pass rush Seems to have a decent arm and is a strong runner, too. This guy is no slouch, but he's still a rookie in the NFL in his first playoff game, so Bills ought to be able to handle him, hopefully. https://www.kstatesports.com/sports/football/roster/skylar-thompson/7990
  18. Cap should increase by approximately $20 million, give or take a few million, in 2023, so that offers at least a little more flexibility (for all teams, of course).
  19. I fixed the title to specify happened to the Bills. I was only referring to Buffalo Bills history - not league history. Hope that clarifies.
  20. If Bills & Chiefs meet in Atlanta it will have a SB atmosphere.
  21. This is an extremely competitive team. Not since 1964 has the team had no double-digit losses. In fact, 2 of the 4 seasons where there was only 1 double-digit loss have been under Sean McDermott! This team is special! Go Bills!
  22. All scenarios below assume Buffalo advances ...
  23. Agree with OP. And credit to the Pegulas, too, for giving the front office the latitude to do what they think is best for the team w/o excessive meddling. Bills are arguably just three plays away from being undefeated. I don't recall a season where there wasn't at least one lopsided loss and that didn't happen this season. The team is extremely competitive every week and that's a real credit to how the team has been managed and coached. There will never be a state of "perfection". It will always be a work-in-progress. There will always be injuries, holes to fill, etc. But the depth and overall talent on the roster is markedly improved from a couple of years ago and the team culture is where it needs to be to compete for a championship. Have to like how the team is trending, overall, and think the future should remain bright - especially with Josh Allen on the roster for many years to come.
  24. All scenarios below assume Buffalo advances ...
  25. Maybe it's time to be like the NHL .. "upper body injury" or "lower body injury" so opponents don't target weakness. Only kidding, of course, but it is interesting how they get away with these vague descriptions in hockey, but in football we know almost everything about the injury.
