  1. I hope Gailey pins that up in the locker room as a challenge to the players to change the culture at One Bills Drive.
  2. Gailey is going to do what is best for the Buffalo Bills and not what is best for a player who may be cut. If Gailey did anything else, he'd be a fool. If he is planning on cutting a guy already in his mind, then I wouldn't expect that player to get any playing time at all -- and that is exactly as it SHOULD be. It helps the organization in no way to play someone they will cut. The ONLY way it could help Buffalo is if the player was trade-worthy, but I don't think that is the case here. And if he goes out and has a great showing, then you have to re-evaluate the idea of keeping the player anyhow.
  3. Here are a few I've seen mentioned past couple of weeks, but I can't vouch for any of them being any good: http://atdhe.net/ http://www.justin.tv/ http://p2phd.tv/ (I caught the re-broadcast of Colts game here, but looks to be out of commission now) http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-nfl.html
  4. +1 That is a great sig. Seems quite appropriate to direct that quote at Sully.
  5. Yeah, I considered editing my original post and removing the "crappy coaching" remark because I too thought that the OL coach was decent. However, he's only one guy unfortunately and can't overrule the OC or the HC, so ultimately the entire team suffers for poor coaching in the top ranks despite having some decent position coaches.
  6. You are right -- they were not all-pros. And I agree with you about Bell, too. I'm expecting some decent work by the OL this year, but this unit is still just coming together, so I think people need to be patient and not get all over them over a pre-season game or two. They may not play effectively together until a few weeks into the season -- which can probably be said for most offensive lines across the league. Time will tell, but I think the OL will really start to perform this season -- barring too many injuries.
  7. I like the idea of two bye weeks -- separated minimally by 6 games. I also think the roster size will need to increase. Rules for IR would need to change, too -- it should be possible to pull a player back off of IR. If owners are going to demand that of players, then they're going to have to give something back.
  8. C'mon -- the guys were ROOKIES last year. They stepped in and did a decent job under the circumstances of crappy coaching. I think to criticize either of them is a bit over-the-top. Now, if half-way through THIS season they are making big-time mistakes, then maybe a little criticism is warranted, but not yet. Wood is just getting healthy again for cryin' out loud. Give it a rest.
  9. Yep, I agree. If the Bills play the game the way it is supposed to be played, they can't help but improve on their winning percentage. If the effort is there and they don't improve their winning percentage, I can live with that (reluctantly). However, my patience is running low. I want to see this team get its share of wins. But you are absolutely correct -- it would be so nice to see the hustle and concern for the clock that you mention as important seconds tick away.
  10. I'll confess I was in support of Marv having a shot at GM. I honestly thought he could do it, but obviously he wasn't cut out for it. The ridiculous money he threw at a couple of average offensive linemen was a major setback. I give him credit for recognizing the importance of bolstering the offensive line, but the way he went about it didn't work out so well.
  11. Now that is a fine example of journalism. I knew that Edwards had a different offensive coordinator every year in Buffalo, but I didn't realize that nearly happened to him during his college career, too ... "That can happen when you have four offensive coordinators in four years, except Edwards is working on his eighth in nine seasons, dating back to his career at Stanford University." Wow, 8 guys coaching him in 9 years -- virtually no continuity his entire post high school career -- that's got to be a very tough thing to deal with. Edit: I missed your post San Jose or else I would have just said "+1".
  12. I hope Chan lights it up with Roscoe. It'll make Jauron look like even more of a dope who couldn't utilize the talent on-hand.
  13. It's kind of ironic, but one POSSIBLE solution to Percy Harvin's migraine headaches is marijuana (http://www.medicalmarijuanablog.com/benefits/migraine-072.html) and yet if he were to do that, he'd be suspended.
  14. Thanks! Here's a little more exact info as fyi to board: My Settings-->"Profile" tab-->Change Profile Information-->Profile Information-->Member Title. Thanks also Dean for response.
  15. How does one add a little blurb under their avatar? I see that on some and can't figure out how to do it. Edit: I gather one needs a certain number of posts to earn that right? Am I correct? If so, what is the magic number?
  16. I like the fact that edited posts will be tagged as such -- nice addition.
  17. I had to re-upload my avatar -- seemed to be missing. I also agree with Dean -- images on boards can be a bit much.
  18. Yes, this is very nice.
  19. This one showing re-broadcast now -- nearing end of 3rd at present.
  20. Any news on Easley's surgery? Gailey couldn't say if out for season or not until the surgery actually took place.
  21. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NTPaHzTDEU ... at the 10:25 mark of the clip. Nice!
  22. Yes, it was just so unexpected. It didn't take us to the Super Bowl, but back then one playoff victory was a big accomplishment for the franchise after the 70's.
  23. Oh, I remember Greg Bell. My question about "Wasn't there a Greg Bell in the 80's" was more of a rhetorical question -- I knew there was a Greg Bell (but I missed his mention in the original post is all).
  24. Great memory! I remember that play.
