  1. I don't care at this point. Fitz or Brohm. Anyone but Trent. Bring Brown back for all I care, but Trent must go.
  2. I can still remember how Jim Kelly would be right in the face of a lineman who totally blew an assignment. Kelly would not accept a crappy effort by his linemen and would let them know. Kelly turned the team from losers to winners nearly single-handedly with his LEADERSHIP. That is sorely missing out there these days.
  3. Edwards' press conference now posted on BuffaloBills.com, as well. Let me save you the trouble: "got to watch it on film" ... "fix what we need to fix" blah, blah
  4. Nope, good teams overcome bad calls (or non-calls). This is not a good team and that is in large part due to lack of leadership and performance by Edwards.
  5. Good teams overcome bad calls.
  6. The mind is a strange thing, men. We must begin by asking it... ..."What is losing?" Losing is a disease... ...as contagious as polio. Losing is a disease... ...as contagious as syphilis. Losing is a disease... ...as contagious as bubonic plague... ... attacking one... ... but infecting all.
  7. The "opportunity cost" of watching football can be great, but I think I'm too hooked on this team to stop watching. I want to see how Gailey responds to Trent's pitiful leadership. I want to see a coach who takes action to fix things before it is too late.
  8. All the talk during the offseason by the new staff was about ACCOUNTABILITY. Well, if they are serious about that, then they will bench Trent Edwards and let either Fitz or Brohm take over.
  9. I still like Gailey. He will turn this team around, but he needs a leader out there at QB and he doesn't have one - certainly not Trent anyhow. Gailey is not the problem (unless he continues to start Trent).
  10. That seals it for me, too. You've GOT to put the ball up in a situation like that. What sorry leadership at the QB position.
  11. I laughed at the seeming idiots who said this team would go 2-14. They were lucky the game today was as close as it was. If they don't get improved play out of the QB position and the OL, then this really will be a very poor season. Buddy, you said something about showing us a baby?!
  12. I don't hate the guy. I just want to see him gone. I've seen enough. Time to move on.
  13. Oh, but they brought in Cornell Green.
  14. Yep, that is the sad truth.
  15. Dick totally takes a knee at the end of the half. Nice to see Buffalo at least trying to do something.
  16. The Bills were 7-point favorites heading into Super Bowl XXV. The bottom line is that defense wins championships and the Giants had an answer that day, unfortunately.
  17. I really hope Carrington becomes a force before the season is over.
  18. I was at the game, but I cannot specifically recall that play. Very well could be, though.
  19. I have the kind of excitement that I had for the home opener in 1988 against the Vikings. Going into 1988, you just knew the team had turned the corner and was playoff bound. The Bills won the opener 13-10. Now, I'm not saying that the playoffs is a given this year or anything, but this team will be competitive again and will play to win (instead of not to lose). I just think this team is about to turn the corner on the Decade of Futility and it starts Sunday.
  20. I caught Sparano's press conference on Dolphins' Web site on Tuesday. The guy just comes across as very tired and defeated. Maybe he was just having a rough day -- I don't know.
  21. Despite my previous avatar showing Brady on his back, I would not wish for an injury. However, I want to see him hit hard and often to the point where he might WISH for an injury just to get off the field.
  22. Described as "minor" accident. He was "shaken". Did not go to hospital ... http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2010/09/radio-station-patriots-qb-tom-brady-involved-in-minor-car-accident/1 That's good. Hate to hear stuff like that.
  23. Going back to OJ -- a talent like him SHOULD have started his entire rookie year, but it was squandered by John Rauch due to the coach's inability to figure out what to do with OJ his first couple of seasons. It'd be like Gailey not being able to figure out a way to use Spiller both this year and next.
  24. For Nelson's interview about his suspension, go to the video section of buffalobills.com and look for the link posted on 8/21/10 entitled "Shawn Nelson Statement on Suspension". I apologize for being rude. Your question about what went down was a fair one. Nevertheless, find and watch his statement on video. I think he is telling the truth that it wasn't illegal drugs or anything like that. Oh, and I've been a fan for 40 years now, but that's not important. I just want to see that excitement return to being a Bills fan and facing the Dolphins on opening day and was just initially put off by this being dragged out even after Nelson made a public statement, but that's neither here nor there and doesn't excuse rudeness. Go Bills!!
  25. I guess you didn't get the memo. Playoff berths are going to be assigned by ESPN Power Rankings this year instead of W-L records. Seriously, I totally agree with you. It is absurd to really care much what these alleged journalists have to say. Most of them are lazy and only assume that what happened last year will happen again next year. The few that actually do their homework realize the Bills are going to get their share of wins this year.
