  1. It's real easy to point at ONE thing throughout the course of the season that could have change a loss to a win. At the time, the decision was the correct decision. It didn't work out, but that doesn't mean it was the wrong decision - even in hind sight. If DiMarco doesn't treat the football like it's a volleyball, maybe that game unfolds completely differently. There should not be any more emphasis on the Chargers loss over any other loss and every loss can be reviewed and missed opportunities found. Go Bills and win the last 2 regular season games - and maybe we can skip having this conversation!
  2. Agree with John Murphy. I try to keep upbeat, but I'm sure I'm guilty of a negative post or two myself. It's time to get excited about the playoffs! I think it is going to happen THIS season and it's time to get fully behind the team for this playoff push.
  3. I find it a bit odd for a Bills fan to want a Patriots victory over Pittsburgh with the division still in play. Had NE lost to Pittsburgh, Buffalo would have been in the division hunt still going into this weekend and 2 Buffalo wins and 2 NE losses (not impossible) would have made BUFFALO the DIVISION CHAPS! Maybe it's time to stop worrying about what the Patriots starters will do to us and start thinking about what we are about to do to them.
  4. +1 - Zay is not close to a bust. He's done a decent job. He'll be fine. Really tired of these negative posts - it's time to get excited about the playoffs and cut the crap with these types of threads.
  5. I would really like to see Taylor come back next year - and I want a GENUINE competition in training camp and in pre-season between Taylor & Peterman for the starting job. My strong feeling is that Peterman wins this battle hands-down. If Taylor can somehow elevate his game and improve at going through his progressions and doing a better job of finding his receivers, he could have an interesting future. That said, I still think Peterman is likely to win the job next season. If that happens and Taylor is willing to stay in Buffalo in a backup role, that would be GREAT. Having a guy like Taylor coming in off the bench would really mess teams up - much more so than if they know he is the starter and can game plan around his unique skillset. However, I don't know that Taylor would be willing to take a back seat. He believes he deserves to be a starter in the NFL. As another poster mentioned, if Taylor wins out and plays well in doing so, he has to be given a legitimate shot next season. I still like Peterman - really believe he will tear up the NFL once he settles down a bit and stops trying to do too much (that was a costly head-first dive for a yard or two - he has to smarten up there).
  6. 96%, I believe, to be exact, if Buffalo wins out.
  7. I agree with OP - we do find a way.
  8. If Cousins willing to backup Peterman, then fine - otherwise no thank you - I'll take our guy Peterman - he is the future.
  9. Did Donahoe have you taking down signs?
  10. Peterman the rest of the season.
  11. Well, Gronk listened to the OP, anyhow.
  12. It was the right move to start Peterman 2 weeks ago. The wheels came off like no one could see coming after that tipped pick-6 - I'm not going to judge Peterman by this game. I like what I saw from Peterman today and I'd like to see him continue to run the offense. This is a strong-minded and resilient guy to come out and perform as well as he did today after that 1st half debacle against the Chargers - I give the guy credit - would have been nice if he scored, of course. His receivers continue to not help with flat-out drops - not saying every throw was on target, but overall, Peterman's ball placement is excellent. There was a lot of good things in this game - things this team can and will get stronger from.
  13. According to space.com, a Blue Moon happens, on average, once every 2.7 years. Brady is presently 26-3 against Buffalo in 29 starts (29 games effectively represents 14.5 seasons (let's call it 14.5 years for sake of this discussion) of games between the 2 teams where Brady has started. So, 14.5 years / 3 wins = 4.83 -- which means Buffalo gets a victory over Tom Brady, on average, once every 4.83 years or seasons. So, sadly, the math quite literally says that Blue Moons happen with much greater regularity than do Buffalo wins over Tom Brady - dang close to being twice as frequently. Ah, being a Buffalo fan is a special place (in hell)
  14. Agree completely. DiMarco makes that catch, we may have an entirely different game and outcome. I'll give Peterman a pass on this 1st game. He's still the guy that can push the ball downfield. The O-line is glaringly bad right now - something has to be done immediately there.
  15. Stay with Peterman is my vote. He's still the better long-term option. I'm not putting that entire disaster on his shoulders - this first time, at least. Tyrod has hit his ceiling and it's border-line playoff caliber provided all other parts of team functioning at peak efficiency. Taylor doesn't harm, but he doesn't help. Peterman's ceiling is much higher - no point in going back to Taylor. Peterman gets just a little help and that game doesn't have the wheels fall off like that.
  16. These morons are associated only with starting trouble where there is none. They have no moral compass whatsoever and they sure as hell don't know much about football. They argue for the sake of argument - they have no message.
  17. Amazing this day and age, IDIOTS bring race into the discussion. Obviously, these are folks who have not watched many Bills' games. In my experience, the individual or individuals who are 1st to bring race into a conversation where race doesn't belong or apply - THAT individual IS the racist. Liberal dolts w/o brains who just have to get their 2 cents in where it isn't needed.
  18. I recall McDermott saying that Peterman was "ahead of his years" during camp. Now, you have Kelvin Benjamin saying that Peterman doesn't play like a rookie. For cryin' out loud, what are the Bills waiting for? We've seen other rookies have success at QB. There's no more reason to wait. This can be a playoff season if McDermott acts now to put Peterman in as starter. If not, you'll continue to see a team that plays w/o confidence because they know their QB can't get it done - eventually, you'll see the team completely quit under Taylor. It doesn't need to go this far. Do the right thing and put Peterman in now and let him take it the rest of the way.
  19. You nailed it! I'd like for Taylor to stick around as the backup - he'd bring great change of pace and throw defenses off their game plan coming in off the bench. He's just not the guy you want as your starter.
  20. I would really like to keep Tyrod around for a very long time -- as the backup to Nate Peterman.
  21. Coach said need to take an "honest" look at themselves. If coach & staff still think Tyrod can take this team past mediocrity, they are simply not being honest with themselves. Sometimes, the fans actually do know what is best - we know what futility looks like at QB, for sure.
  22. The way I see it, 30 teams did NOT think Dareus was worth a 5th round pick (to outbid Jax's offer of a 6th round pick), so maybe Buffalo did the best they could here.
  23. Perhaps consideration is due here that the veteran QB who can't throw may be having some impact on the rookie WR who can't catch?
  24. You nailed it. McDermott looks to be the kind of guy who actually delivers when it comes to putting players in position to succeed with the skills each brings to the field - similar to - dare I say - how Belichick might operate. And this includes making the deals they just made - getting value for a guy they will likely lose next season and who, to date, hasn't been a "difference maker" type of player. I hope Watkins goes on to have a great career and I hope the Bills turn that pick into something even greater, but it was the right deal to make and I give the Bills credit for the move. They will be competitive this season. If they can stop beating themselves, no telling how far this team could go! Great post, OP.
  25. Yes, the last one. They are the class of the league until proven otherwise. They deserve their status.
