  1. Not in the front office ranks, but I'm reminded of Chuck Lester 😁 And I'm not knocking the guy, but it was amazing he served 5 different HCs in Buffalo between 1987 & 2009 - Marv Levy, Wade Phillips, Gregg Williams, Mike Mularkey & Dick Jauron
  2. I see your point, but I also don't think the team should abandon the methodology that got them this close to a SB to begin with. I don't think I'd allocate more than 10%-to-15% of all available resources to a "big name" guy while using the remaining 85%-to-90% of resources in the usual process way ... making sensible FA deals that work for the both the team and the player, trades, drafting well, etc). Maybe bring on ONE big name guy who can truly be a difference maker, but otherwise be prudent with remaining resources and do deals that make sense to the team and generally stick to the plan that made you this competitive. Edit: And I'd want to keep my draft picks, so I'd make sure the resources came from CAP.
  3. With the loss of Duke & Antonio, Buffalo is down to just a single "Williams" on their roster! This must be addressed - Beane will take care of it! 😁
  4. Not against any free agent who can help - big splash or small ripple - just be a solid contributor. Hope Pegula just lets Beane do his thing with FA - last thing we need is a meddlesome owner. Buffalo is already a hot destination for FAs with Allen at QB and it's not like we need to bring in a big name just to appear relevant (e.g. Terrell Owens) because Buffalo is already relevant.
  5. It is quite ironic that this is even feasible. I wouldn't be totally against Darnold as a backup, but just not sure he has shown enough to hope he can turn his career around. At least Mitch Trubisky had a degree of success with Chicago and a .596 win percentage, but cannot say the same of Darnold.
  6. 1. Nathan Peterman's quick release was fast like Dan Marino's and he would have great success in this league. 2. J. P. Losman would have a productive career. 3. I thought Marcel Dareus would develop into a Pat Williams type of NT, but instead he went the route of JaMarcus Russell once he got his big pay day. 4. I was on the fence with Johnson vs. Flutie, but leaned a bit toward Johnson instead of Flutie. 5. I thought Kelvin Benjamin was a good acquisition. 6. Duke Williams was going to be that big target and would blossom. 7. Marv Levy was just another coaching "re-tread" and would only last a couple of years in Buffalo as HC. 8. Marv Levy would be a savior as a GM. However, on the flip side, I will say I was all-in on the Josh Allen pick before the draft and didn't think much of the "other Josh".
  7. I know the idea behind undersized D-linemen is to have quickness, but would still love to have at least one Pat Williams type of player on the roster to stuff runs up the middle.
  8. Wonder if he was holding out for promotion to DC (under assumption Frazier would be moving elsewhere). With Frazier still here, maybe he's just had enough.
  9. Funny, I did exact same thing today! (Just minus the k) - $25.00
  10. My thought exactly! I can only be a Bills fan - even in my imagination.
  11. I'd rather see a punt, pass & kick competition.
  12. Never say "never". I'm not agreeing with the OP - we need to continue to develop Rousseau, but trading up is exactly how we landed Josh Allen, so it's not always idiotic to trade up.
  13. Maybe the DL wouldn't be so gassed if they were not running off and on the field all the time 😏
  14. Leslie Frazier must be fired. No hope of another team hiring him as HC after that game. Josh Allen deserves better than to have his awesome work in the KC game squandered by deer in the headlights Leslie Frazier. This was Allen's year and the defense blew it.
  15. Very true. Quote from ESPN article ... "Most people, when I did what I did, they thought I was literally going insane or something," he says. "But I was actually fine. I was totally fine. "And I'm totally fine today." Source: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27636876/nfl-veteran-vontae-davis-quit-nfl-midgame-here-happened-next
  16. Excellent observation! This really highlights that EVERY play counts. When the Bills prepare to repeat as World Champions next season ( 😉 ), this will provide excellent motivational material for McDermott throughout the season that any given play can make or break a game and much, much more in the big picture - got to bring 'A' game play-in and play-out.
  17. Vontae's exit almost seems courteous and responsibly-handled by comparison to Brown's exit - never thought I'd see the day that something would top Vontae Davis' departure.
  18. I remember the no-punt game against San Francisco. Neither team punted once the entire game. Fortunately, Buffalo ended up on top in that one!
  19. And, I think yoo was maybe my math teachor 7 + 4 = 8 Thanks yoo, to, for yoo're effert! 😉
  20. Hey, I remembers yoo! Yoo'd was my favoright teachor when I'd was a kidd. Yoo'd shoodn't thinks yoo're effert was wasted. Thanks yoo for givving me a hed starts in life! 😉
  21. Given the Jags have only 2 victories, does it really matter?
  22. Maybe our defense needs to rough Allen up during pre-game so he plays well in 1st quarter! 🤣
