A "rebuild" year is when you no longer have Josh Allen on your roster. So long as Josh Allen is our QB, let's just call higher-than-usual offseason roster activity "re-tooling". We always have a chance with Allen at QB.

They'd be fortunate to get 2 seasons of work out of him - for a 2nd rounder and big salary. That's a high price. That 2nd rounder, if selected well, may play here for 10 seasons. I get the all-in-now approach, but this particular one is a bit too costly to the future, imho.

At Appalachian State, he "returned 26 kickoffs for a school-record 781 yards and two touchdowns", as per Wikipedia, so there's that. That's a 30.04 yard average per return.

I'm glad he didn't return to KC to share Bills' intel, not that it necessarily matters that much as the teams already know each other pretty well, but sometimes it only takes one play to swing a game or one tiny tid-bit of knowledge of a given play.

This is dumb. Daboll & McDermott won't work together again, in all likeihood. Also, Joe Brady is 11-3 in regular season games as OC and 1-1 in playoffs. The players love him and respond well to him. He's young and won't be perfect, but he's done an excellent job in his role so far.

I've read on this board in the past that guards are a "dime-a-dozen" and that it is foolish to spend big at the guard position. Clearly, the quality at both guard positions was instrumental to the successful run game of the '64 & '65 championship teams, as per Billy Shaw. RIP Billy Shaw.

You are correct. I believe what I said is still accurate - had he pitched it just a moment sooner, Allen could have gotten by, but you are absolutely right - it was on Dawkins.

Not a great call, but had Samuel pitched it just a split second sooner, Allen would have had time & space to drift to center of field to setup to pass and Samuel would have been in better position to pick up the defender, also. Instead, Allen got forced to the short side of the field. That's poor execution by Samuel. Had it worked, we might be talking about this play differently, but agree, not the best call. Not a fireable offense, however. Brady has done too many good things to let one play call define him.
