  1. Don't let your mancrush for Clausen blind you. The Bills are finally assembling a defense that can stop the run with bigger guys up front. Regardless of which QB is out there, 3 and outs necessitate that we have a defense that doesn't give up 300 yards rushing to the opposing team. I really like this draft so far. Would I like an OT, hell yes but apparently the scrubs that were left after the top 2-3 weren't better than the defenders we took. Relax -- we're not winning the Super Bowl next year, we might as well be competitive.
  2. Jaws on ESPN loves Easly, showed highlights of him running by CB's at Pittsburgh and said he even separated from the Patriots first round pick McCourty.
  3. I'm not too excited about Bruce Campbell. I don't mind at all we didn't pick him.
  4. "Easley is a very raw talent who struggled on the bench for three years before bursting on the scene during his senior year at UConn. He has a rare combination of size and straight-line speed and can make acrobatic catches. The problem is Easley does not appear to trust his hands and will not only drop some catchable passes but tends to let the ball get into his body to trap it rather than reach out to pluck it. He is a bit of a strider and will need a lot of work on getting in and out of his breaks. The nice thing is that he has a good chance to see some action on special teams. He was a core special-teams performer at UConn during his first three years as he tried to earn a scholarship."
  5. SO much for getting something for lynch
  6. Demetrius Bell must have had one hell of an off-season.
  7. Thanks for that post - I was too lazy to look it up and this gives me a reference -- I don't know anything about these guys except Campbell was a workout warrior - I doubt we take any of these in rd #3. How about Brandon Spikes!!
  8. I'm assuming the USC OT will be gone by the next pick. Does anyone have any insight on what good OT's are left?
  9. Anyone care to guess which player the Bills DID actually try to move up and get? I'm thinking Dan Williams. I give Buddy this, he is much more direct about telling you things than other GM-types have been in the past.
  10. If we kept the 41st pick, grabbed either of those lineman and picked clausen later on -- I would be totally down with that.
  11. Clausen SUCKS. When are you going to face reality. There are 2 starting-caliber Offensive Tackles, and a big-time NT sitting there for the taking. Pass on Clausen. It should tell you something that Tebow was even drafted ahead of this clown.
  12. I'm hoping that either Brown or Saffold are there with pick #2 -- if we land either, it would be great!
  13. What a genius move to keep the scandal at bay - start a rumor that you'll get a virus if you download it. Brilliant move, Ben Roethlisberger's people should have started that one for his mess.
  14. Erin Andrews, but close. Jenn Brown is damn hot also!
  15. The fact Clausen has fallen this far should tell his supporters what the NFL GM's (who have much more knowledge than you) think of him. Thank god the Bills didn't select him!
  16. I picked Nevergiveup with my #1 pick in the Fantasy TBD poster draft. He's money!
  17. Thanks for the tidbit Nevergiveup. Regardless how the draft shapes up, it makes me feel good knowing that LT is their target. Beyond Williams and Okung, I don't think there are any LT's worth #9. I wonder how they view Saffold from Indiana (given his connection to our assistant OC)? If they end up taking McClain they could move POZ or Mitchell outside. I am also starting to come around to Derrick Morgan and making him the other OLB.
  18. I would buy another pair of season tickets if this deal was made. I honestly think there is no way Ben gets dealt -- but don't we have a connection to Pittsburgh via Whaley. If anyone knew how to work with the Steelers it is him!
  19. Lori, be that as it may -- this woman still made an effort to seek out Ben Roethlisberger. I'm sure the $1.50 she saved on drinks could have been found had they chosen to go to another bar. At the very least -- you have to agree with me that she had ample opportunity to remove herself from coming into contact with Ben Roethlisberger after their initial meeting at the first bar.
  20. I agree with his opinion. However, being an idiot with horrible judgment would not disqualify him from being someone that I'd want QB'ing the Buffalo Bills.
  21. Milledgeville Police Report (page 1 of 2): In her own written words: "We went to the Brick where they happened to be, and we continued to have casual conversation, he even made crude sexual remarks. They ended up leaving, and we went to capital, where they also were. Ben asked us to go to his "vip" area (back of capital) we all went with him." Straight from the horse's mouth. The woman met him at the first bar (velvit elvis) took pictures with him, followed him to the second bar -- brick (where he just happened to be) and followed him to a third bar -- capital (another coincidence). Do you honestly think she was not infatuated with him, followed him and was flirting with him. If she was turned off by his sexual advances (which he allegedly made at bar #2) why would she follow him to bar #3 and accept an invitation to join him in his "vip" area.
  22. I would take Roethlisberger in a minute -- and stop calling it "rape" he has not been convicted of such crime!
  23. Well, I guess we'll agree to disagree. I found the police report contained some pretty vivid information that was unflattering to BOTH parties. For example: According to Willie Colon (who was with Ben) -- women at the first bar of the night, who were desperately trying to get Ben's attention, had name tags on that said "DTF," when asked what this meant -- the reply was "Down to ()uck". The woman who accused Roethlisberger of Rape was clearly interested in having his attention, took pictures with him, followed him to 2 different bars after his group left and willing accepted an invitation into a VIP room to do "shots." When giving her report to the police, her recollection about what happened was "foggy" due to her level of intoxication including falling down drunk when talking to the police. -- Listen, I do not condone "rape." But there comes a time when young people have to take responsibility for their lives and not put themselves in compromising positions. There is alot more to this story than what the media has reported and accusations of "rape" and "racisim" get flown around way to haphazardly these days.
  24. I will continue to support threads that advocate for Bills trading for Ben Roethlisberger (however this scenario will never happen and Pittsburgh will NOT trade him). He has not been convicted of anything (Duke rape case comes to mind). For Bills fans that have a moral code -- we already have ethically challenged players on our team and you don't seem to mind.
  25. Apparently you were so busy watching other college WR's that you completely missed the 46 catches for 1,154 yards and 8 touchdowns that Demaryius Thomas caught last year as a JUNIOR. You must have also been swamped the day he torched Mississippi State for 8 catches, 174 yards and a score. This kid was money for GTech. He also had his best games against the better competition they played (5x127 against Georgia, 6X133 against Miami). Thomas is a great WR (one of the two best in this draft and on par with Calvin Johnson). This would not be a bad pick for Buffalo, just not the one I would make (I think we need the OLine).
