Yeah, I saw that when I read the link. The news, I think it was Foxnews, said Pontiac was picking up the taxes and customization so I may have read into it a little.

The only game I'm going to be able to make this year is the St Louis game. Being military it's difficult to get time off, especially the way the tempo is right now. I managed to squeeze a couple days before Thanksgiving so I could make that game. I wish I could make it up for Halloween but I won't be able to.

I see your point Steve but did Oprah pay to fly all these people to the show, put them up in a hotel and provide them with food? I hardly think so. I'm sure these people aren't living in poverty. If they can't afford to take out a loan for a few thousand dollars to pay for a FREE car then ultimately they probably won't be able to afford gas, insurance or anything else that comes along with owning a car. I see both sides of this but don't think it's UNFAIR for the government to expect to receive taxes. Like I posted earlier, I thought Pontiac was picking up all the taxes.

What you are all missing is that it all depends on what tax bracket this puts them into. $7000 is the extreme. Most will probably not have to pay nearly that much. I'd take it in a heartbeat.

I wonder what happened because when the story first broke I saw it on the news and it was reported there that the car company was going to pay not only for the taxes for the cars but also to customize them for each person. And before anybody says anything NO it wasn't CBS!!

Yeah, but there are receivers that "touch" the ball, and then drop it. Running backs that "touch" the ball and then take a 5 yard loss because they have no place to run. Should Drew catch, run and block too? Just because he touches the ball every play doesn't mean that he takes the majority of the blame. Someone has to touch the ball every play!

Another mistake by the boner....

I met Tom Green in Africa. He was on one of those USO tour things. This was after they broke up. Funny story. We were having a couple beers and me and some pilot friends of mine took him to see the inside of the helicopter. We got pictures of him singing into the piss tube because they told him it was a means of communication with the pilot. Funny stuff. He was a pretty nice guy though. Nothing like the idiot he plays on tv.
