  1. I wasn't saying that quick drops and rollouts don't work. I'm all for them, but you still need a good offensive line to pull even that off. NE builds it's team on line play. That's why they win even when key skill players go down. And that's why Tom Brady has been so successful - granted he's got some skill too. Go Blue!!
  2. --I also saw him get tackled behind the line and run for 2.5 yard average --You can't sustain a full winning season based on such logic. Wouldn't you much rather have a competent OL so you don't have to have JP run around and get injured
  3. While I agree that WM's health is important, the real key is how the Offensive Line plays. They looked so-so in the scrimmage. Willis didn't get any major holes against an inferior defense. And the success of JP depends highly on how the OL holds up.
  4. $8 per ticket, from what I heard
  5. The point of this post was to get a guage on the opinions of how JP would do this year. I just gave Kelly's rookie numbers as a benchmark. For example, although Kelly's yardage number is almost out of the question, I think JP could get fairly close to his completion percentage. I'd hope that he could beat Kelly's interception total of 17. I also think a passer rating of 83.3 is totally achievable. And of course, he should definitely get more that 4 wins because of the better team around him. So if you think we're delusional, tell us why - e.g. JP's gonna throw 30 interceptions and have a passer rating of 50.
  6. It goes without saying that Jim Kelly was the best we ever had at the position. Is JP the second coming? A lot of you got to view him in action yesterday. I saw some very positive signs. How do you think JP's stats at the end of his first full year will compare with Kelly's rookie year? (see below) Remember too that Jim had the luxury of 2 years in the USFL. Year: 1986 Games: 16 Attempts: 480 Comp: 285 Yards: 3,593 Percent: 59.4% Yards/Attempt: 7.49 TD: 22 INT: 17 Rating: 83.3 Team Record: 4-12 Coaches: Hank Bullough, Marv Levy
  7. That is one God awful logo.
  8. Now that was a streak. The reporter's reaction was priceless. You gottal love live tv.
  9. Great concept. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
  10. Very nice. Nice to be able to maneuver on the map without the whole page having to load again. Love the drag function also.
  11. Thanks. And they're saying there was no alcohol involved.
  12. U.S. Guards Threw Mudwrestling Party Prison Camp? According to snapshots taken of the incident, one young military woman lifted her T-shirt to expose her breasts, while another revealed her thong panties. Sorry, haven't found links to any of the pics.
  13. Yeah, people getting shot and blown up all over and you don't isolate and protect such a key bad guy/witness? At least they got that biatch Marianne. I can't believe they couldn't figure it out just from observing her shiftiness. Too bad Sarah had to suffer. Still, an entertaining episode.
  14. Was it just me or did McNabb look like he was on depressants last night. Granted he threw for a lot of yards but I just didn't see any fire from him. He seemed calm to a fault. He throws three key drive killing interceptions with almost no reaction. After the one to Bruschi in the 4th he just points to himself with the "it was my fault" chest tap like there were 3 more quarters to play. And as for the no huddle, even if the coaches were napping shouldn't he as the leader of that offense realize the urgency and at least get the plays off quicker instead of spending 35 secs between plays. I just don't get it.
  15. Another one of the many ridiculous moves (non move?) made by Reid and the Philly coaching staff. Not using timeouts on last drive of first half, lack of no-huddle in late 4th quarter. I mean this is a seasoned coaching staff and some of their decisions were just mind blowing for the biggest game of their careers.
  16. Absolutely. Any player can take a knee and give himself up to end the play. The only thing with Harrison was that he just fell to the ground, didn't really make it obvious that he was "taking a knee." So initially I was also thinking that the ball was still live.
  17. Hosting this year for a group of about 15. Pizza, wings, beer, etc.. and of course the 50" HD screen. Good times.
  18. Absolutely should be done. The concept of the chain for measuring yardage is seriously archaic. You would think in today's day and age these aspects of the game would have gone electronic.
  19. Questions regarding football cam: 1. The ball spirals so how do you keep the camera from spinning? 2. Camera weight and positioning can effect flight of ball - passes and kicks 3. Balls come in and out of play - do you put cameras on all the footballs in circulation for the game? 4. Will players be prohibited from giving away footballs to the crowd? From spiking them? Camera equipment damage/loss means money.
  20. Absolutely it would matter. Even though I can't make it back for games anymore, there's something about your hometown team and the associated memories that make a difference. Times spent at Rich/RWS - the sights, smells, the rabid love of the Bills by the fans - are all things that help you identify with the team. Them moving would really make a difference as to how ardently i would follow the team. For me I don't think it would be any different than a Bills fan living in Buffalo. Psychologically they become "someone else's - not ours anymore." I have to concede that i'd probably root for them for a few years because of their origin and familiarity with players, but it would fade over time.
  21. Pats by 17. Unfortunately a snoozer.
  22. Actually it was Montana to John Taylor for the winning score. But i agree, it was one of the better SB's.
  23. Tim frikkin Couch??!! Y'all got to stay off the crack pipe once in a while.
  24. If you hate it so much... if it annoys you that much... why do you continue to watch it? I love how people complain about things they have a choice about. I mean, it's like the people who sue McDonald's for being fat.
