  1. Awesome link. Thanks.
  2. Big question is how long is this optimism going to last - 1 game or 2?
  3. Everything you just said and apply it to Charter Cable also. Going through the same bull sh-- here in St. Louis. Last year they had it for an extra $4/month with the sports tier. NFL got wise to it and we don't get it at all now. These are the same guys that still don't carry ABC in high def because of an issue they have with the local affiliate. Had to watch MNF and Super Bowl in analog last year.
  4. Yeah, the sacks really jumped out at me also. That will definitely have to improve if our offense is going to be successful. Possibly a reflection of J.P. hanging in the pocket more this year instead of running at the first sign of trouble. He'll need to find a balance between the two.
  5. Losman: 22/35, 278 yds, 62.9%, 1 td, 1 int, 8 sacks, 85.2 rating Nall: 5/9, 63 yds, 55.6%, 1 td, 0 int, 0 sacks, 114.6 rating Holcomb: 5/9, 44 yds, 55.6%, 1 td, 1 int, 1 sack, 29.2 rating Stats don't always tell the whole story but they give an objective indication of the big picture. How many of you would take J.P.'s numbers above for each game this season? I for one would. The sacks and fumbles are a little worrisome, but overall i'm very pleased with J.P.'s progress. He can only improve. Love the way Jauron has handled the whole thing. Nall may have potential as a quality backup but too early to tell. Holcomb.....well, not much to say....he's what he is and is not going to get any better.
  6. As has been pointed out on this board, it all depends what he means by seniority:
  7. I have to believe that this whole not naming the starting QB thing started as a plan by DJ/ML to figure out which young qb was going to get the job – JP or Nall. Considering the team’s current state, the long term future of the position, and the relative sanity of the GM and head coach, there’s absolutely no reason why Holcomb would factor in. Get this straight: Holcomb will be the veteran backup on opening day – barring injury of course. Now that Nall is injured, it’s basically a shoe-in for JP (unless he literally craps the bed in preseason games). But there’s no reason for DJ to name him the starter at this point. He wants JP to stay competitive and focused.
  8. I think he was referring to the item titled "PETIT FANION 1951 FOOT US BUFFALO." It looks like a generic pennant for the city of Buffalo - doesn't look like it has any team affiliation to me. But then again i wasn't around in 1951. Best part is the seller describes it as "tres rare" but the buy it now price is 8 Euros.
  9. Craigslist.org is always another option to consider. Click on the city you're interested in and go to the tickets section. Usually just ordinary people selling - not too many brokers.
  10. The Slug's official debut?
  11. Uh, both the recipes on the foodnetwork site have been reviewed by people that used them.
  12. Can't feel sorry for a guy who, according to one of the articles, declared bankruptcy in 2001 while making a take home income of $5300 a month. As much as he may have been screwed over by his parents as a kid, he needs to grow up and handle his shite like an adult.
  13. Awesome site. Thanks
  14. We're sorry. The content you requested is available for UK users only
  15. How quickly things change. Definitely the other way around now.
  16. I second that!
  17. "Based at the RBC Center, the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes are the 2006 East Conference Champs." Man those bastards are really asking for it.
  18. WTF?!................... ROFLMAF
  19. The whining has started in Carolina: Canes Rail on Refs The Carolina Hurricanes accused the duo (Bill McCreary and Dan O'Halloran) of missing three calls -- one by action, two by inaction -- in overtime that the Canes argued led directly to Daniel Briere's goal that gave the Buffalo Sabres a 2-1 win and sent the Eastern Conference finals to Game 7 on Thursday in Raleigh. On the ensuing Buffalo power play, the Canes thought Bret Hedican was hooked and Justin Williams tripped, the latter play resulting in the goal when Briere sent Williams tumbling into Rod Brind'Amour, knocking the puck loose and clearing the space for Briere to score the winning goal. "To have that called against you in overtime is disappointing," Hedican said. "And then Williams has the puck at the blue line and gets hauled down with no call. It's obviously a disappointing way to lose." "I wholeheartedly disagree with the original call," Carolina coach Peter Laviolette said. "I wholeheartedly disagree with the two missed calls." Uh, but the ticky-tack call in OT in game 5 against J.P. that led to the winning goal was ok, right Peter? Give me a fricking break. I thought there were a lot of no calls that went against the Sabres too. The refs better not bite and start calling crap in game 7.
  20. I know the series is tied, but why do I feel like we're down 3-2 and on the brink. Maybe just the Buffalo fan in me, but I sure feel like sh-- right now.
  21. Yeah, it hasn't happened, except for one shot Hecht had where Gerber had to move across; he shot it right into him. But anything against him, even flukey would help for the next game. If not, we're talking 5+ periods without a goal and that could start getting into their heads.
  22. Please -- somebody better beat this pos Gerber before this game is over. Otherwise, there's gonna be a lot psychological crap to overcome for game 5.
  23. Ok, now it's over.
  24. About as bad a period as I've seen from them this playoffs. Time to bounce back in the third. This game is not over!!!!
  25. Ouch. Good power play by the Canes. Undisciplined penalty by Kotalik.
