  1. Ha - prevent offense! Yes, that's their mo this season but it has worked to get some wins. Get the lead and milk it in the second half and rely on the defense and the other team to make mistakes. I hate not being aggressive all the way through but with this offense i can see why McDermott goes with this philosophy. But if we fall behind in any game - forget it.
  2. Really you could see the tip of the ball clearly hit the ground? It may have but his hand was in the way in the angle i saw so it could have or his hand could've still been under it - thought there was the possibility that they didn't have conclusive evidence and they'd have to go with the call on the field.
  3. that's a different point, which i can agree with, but the one i replied to was you saying he had completed the catch as soon as his knee hit the ground
  4. wrong - he was still in the process of completing the catch because the rest of his body was still falling down. again - it's a stupid rule
  5. You obviously don't know the current rule. Doesn't matter if his knee was down if he's falling to the ground. Has to 'complete the catch.' Is it BS - yes but that's the rule
  6. Agree. I knew it was going to be scrutinized in the booth and felt there was room to consider that his hand stayed under the ball even if it moved as he hit the ground. But also knew that chances were they'd overrule.
  7. To me it's simple, once the receiver has the ball in both hands and two feet down in bounds (or a knee, elbow, hip, etc...) he has possession. After that if the ball pops out, it's a fumble. If he crosses the plane of the goal line, it's a touchdown. Forget all the 'football move' and did he 'complete the catch' bs and keep it simple. But as it stands, i don't know why receivers aren't more conscious of holding the ball all the way through.
  8. We have this conversation every single time there is one of these plays. I knew it would be overruled the second i saw the replay and the ball moved when he hit the ground. He didn't 'complete the catch' by the letter of the new rule but we all know it's a catch by normal football standards. The rule is an abomination and the powers that be are the biggest morons for not making it right. Add on the fact that the Pats* were the benefactors as the Steelers went on to lose just makes it that much worse.
  9. should've been a slam dunk....made us sweat it out.....but i'll take the win
  10. On sides kick....lets not f this up
  11. First down and getting out of bounds....wtf D
  12. at least they burned their timeouts...now it's up to the D
  13. That's the crazy thing. It's obvious to most of us that TT is not going to get any better. Throw out his first year but the last two have shown no development, more regression than anything. Peterman shows so much upside. He won't be any worse so why not make the change. Yet, the coaching staff has no balls to pull the trigger. Its maddening.
  14. Romo: Personally I think it's in everybody's best interest to stop calling penalties 😂
  15. And there's still 10 mins to go....Jeezus
  16. HATE Bills prime time games. All day waiting and getting excited. And then the massive letdown
  17. Good spanking tonight. Hopefully they learn from it. Ah who am I kidding. This is the Bills.
  18. Yes let's hand ball off. WTF
