  1. Based on his age and salary I'm going to guess 2017 will be his last year and if they cut him after that year they will still be on the hook for almost 6MM in dead cap money. He's a good player and will help them but they over paid and gave him too long of a contract
  2. And when they do cut him they will have to eat that big signing bonus and will have lots of dead cap space.
  3. McKelvin isn't bad but he makes some bonehead plays at the worst moment.
  4. He's a good back no doubt but he's right at the point where backs start to drop off and the fall is usually pretty fast too.
  5. I don't think he can start his own union... The point is he needs to take care of himself
  6. I'm with the players, get what you can while you can. Wilkerson breaks his leg or has a career ending injury and the Jets will move on. No other major sport doesn't have guaranteed contracts or tagging. It doesn't matter what the NFLPA agreed too either, they won't help him either when if his career ends next year. Well said
  7. I will believe it when I see it. Everybody is "really progressing" or "giving 150%" or "dramatically improved" during training camp. I am hoping Tyrod is the answer and did make big strides but as they say wish on one hand...
  8. His radio show is like reading Bills Digest, I used to love Shout! and couldn't wait for the paper but once the Bills bought it over to Chris Brown it became a mouthpiece for the team. Its like listening to press releases
  9. Wow .. Brady, Mannng, Farve and EJ? Seriously? 1) I like EJ, nice guy, I would love him to be a success but he is AWFUL, He did this against Jacksonville for goodness sake. The Jacksonville Jaguars... think about that. You know what I liked Johnny Manziel too, I was wrong, there its not too hard is it? He is a bad guy who will likely not turn himself around, EJ is not an NFL caliber QB and never ever will be.
  10. Agreed I remember him defending EJ all last summer as if there was no douobt he was a starting NFL QB, until Tyrod was named the starter that is
  11. Feastmode I love it very funny, I resemble that remark
  12. I still think he is going to be a very good coach in the league before his career ends, he reminds me a lot of Parcells
  13. He really is an outstanding defensive coach
  14. Charging, but I want the red helmets back
  15. I'm right there with you. I want to be excited but 1) The Patriots still have Brady (for most of the year) 2) While I enjoy Rex's bravado, until I see him hold a player accountable it will be hard to believe in him again. 3) I'm tired of losing. I am very hopeful about the future with Pegula as the owner, he's willing to spend money to win, but the future may not be now.
  16. I get both of your points, on Glennon (and other back-up) the experience has typically been that there is a reason they remain back-ups. I based my opinion on what I've seen of him when he has played (which is an admittedly small sample) but I liked some of what I've seen. I've seen more than enough of EJ to know he will NEVER be even a reliable back-up in this league. I think the same applies to Mallett, he is a stupid meat-head at times but in my assessment there is still a glimmer of hope with EJ there is none. Now if fairness I think there is no question that EJ is a much more likable guy than Mallett I just don't think he has the leadership or instincts to be a leader.
  17. I agree on both counts lol. Thinking outside the box.
  18. This is a nice summary, as you anticipated I disagree about Glennon I would put him in group . As for the remaining group 2 list I would take Henne, McCown and McCoy ahead of him and I still think that Mallett has arguable a slightly bigger upside. So that would put him about for me. Bottom line I think he is part of a group of QB's who have virtually no chance of winning on a regular basis and certainly an interchangeable cog.
  19. I agree that Tyrod is the QB this year sink or swim, what I meant was that if Tyrod doesn't continue his development this year and they decide to let him go via free agency what is plan b? Jones next year? Most expert believe he is three years away from being a starting NFL QB. He didn't play much at OSU and the he is far from certain to pan out. Big upside but more likely to be a washout, Hogan would have been plan b in the event Tyrod isn't the man. I would rather they had drafted Hogan, Lynch or Conner Cook.
  20. Its not the point of wasting a pick its that the Bills still don't have a good plan B if Tyrod doesn't pan out. If Tyrod doesn't work out will it matter who is at LB?
  21. You guys are way off point here... the real question is how does the Mountain Lion/Cougar get overlooked as the national mammal? Bison are great and all but the point is bison are food, mountain lions are clearly the mamamal symbol of the United States. My ranking of american mammals: Mountain Lion Grizzly Bear Polar Bear Grey Wolf Bison Let the debate begin...
  22. I was a fan and I was sorry to see him go
  23. Agree 100% this will be another Whaley fail. If Tyrod doesn't pan out this year we will be right back where we were foe the last 16 years, no QB, no prospects, no playoffs, and no hope.
  24. I think the Bills are handling this the right way. He definitely played well at times last year but there are certainly some questions that need to be answered yet.
