I am so sorry for you loss, I can't imagine your pain. I will say several prayers for Danny, you, your entire family. May God have mercy on him and comfort you and your family.
That is a great point about the time left on the play clock before the snap, I noticed that right before the strip-sack. Even if its not Freeman's strength you have to go with it in that situation. The FG there really changes what the Patriots could do after that needing two scores
I don't agree with the premise of this article at all, we have all screamed at the television when we've seen our team do the three runs and punt and allow the other team to climb back in tha game that way. Just look at the NFC Championship game, the Falcons never took their foot off the gas an finished burying the Packers instead of hoping that their defense (very clearly the weaker of their two units) would be able to hold off Aaron Rodgers (one of the best QB's in football) Why try to run the clock and HOPE that Brady doesn't get hot against the Patriots. It didn't work our for the Falcons but I like them putting the game on the offense instead of the defense. The only issue I had with them was deciding to pass once they got to the Patriot 20 after the Jones catch. From there they had the 3pts in hand and an 11 point lead with under 5 to play.
I wasn't a fan of his when the Bills drafted him. He lost his starting job in college, seems very inaccurate and now reports coming out that he never worked very hard last season. See what he can do or has learned in training camp if no improvement put him on the practice squad, if he gets claimed let him go.
He has been a chronic mess in college, doing something stupid on a regular basis. The only reason this kid is tied to Buffalo is because if his last name. If he's available in the 5th round take him no higher
Couldn't agree more, Patriots, Falcons, Packers and Steelers were all in the bottom eight teams in terms of cap money spent on defense, all were in the conference championship game. Get the QB situation settled first
Interesting that four teams in the Conference finals (Packers, Falcons, Steelers & Patriots) have the lowest numbers spent of defense, but all have pretty decent QB's. The Bills need to keep drafting QB's until the get it right.
I think the only way McCown makes sense is if Tyrod, Romo or a veteran like Cutler were starting. I would stil draft a QB and let him and Jones battle it out for the 3rd QB spot.
If he's tired of being "!@#$" he should stop acting like an attention whore. I like Rex and I wish the Bills had given him another year and fired Whaley but he has a lot of blame here and I can certainly understand why Pegula wanted to move on.
Based on the other names being thrown out here, Belichick, Carroll and Marronne I'm not sure how we are defining "douche bag" for the purposes of this ranking process.
I said it was liberal bs because while he is calling out Spicer about "lying" about the crowd size, I'm sure if you read through every one of his articles you'll see he never felt compelled to mention lies made my Obama, Clinton as in "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor" or the Benghazi riots that resulted in dead Americans were caused by a movie. Both far more serious offenses than "lying" about the size of crowd.
The reason I say NFL stats are so meaningless is because there are so many variables and the numbers can be so dramatically influenced by the game situations, even within an era.
As an example, during the 80s and 90s (when the passing game wasn't as open as it is today) if you looked at the 300 yard passers after each game often time the biggest numbers were put up by the LOSING QB not the winner because the winning team would open up a sizable lead and go to ground and pound to kill the clock while conversely the losing team would stop running the football and start throwing the ball on every down often into prevent defenses. As a result the passing yards for the losing team and rushing yards for the loser didn't represent the actual performance.
How could I forget!
He's from NH so I don't think its fair to accuse him of jumping on the Patriot bandwagon.
That's one of my problems with this process, the Bills are hiring a head coach not a defensive coordinator. Philips is the best DC in the NFL but no so great at being a head coach. The Chargers hired Lynn but he kept Wisenhunt as his OC which I think is a smart move.
