  1. I'm not complaining about the gesture which is nice and all but I think the collective sentiment of Bills fans at this point is "just show me results on Sundays". We're all a little hung-over from the Rex excitement.
  2. New Era Field & First Energy Stadium, both factories of sadness. On a brighter note, I was at Shea (it will always be Shea to me) for opening day! LGM!
  3. I wasn't suggesting he call McCoy out more directly, I was saying that I think he did in fact call him out indirectly with his answer.
  4. My concern remains that Tyrod hasn't used the TE we already have who was wide open on a number of occasions. As far as being on the field at the same time I don't see many teams, including the Patriots using a lot of double TE formations in the wide open passing era, We also heard a lot about how Spiller and Jackson would be used creatively on the field at the same time. I'm not sold on using the first round pick to build depth,
  5. That was very cool, thanks!
  6. I said the same thing right after the Super Bowl when they talked about how the Falcons played right into their hands.
  7. Agree with all your points. I think getting him in the 4th or 5th round is reasonable.
  8. I agree with you on most points but I have two issues A) We have a pretty good tight end already who was open quite a bit. 2) Our likely starting QB for next year couldn't/wouldn't throw to him. If the Bills take Howard it will remind me of the decision to take Spiller #3 despite having Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch on the roster, Remember reading about how "although those guys are good, Spiller is a can't miss/all-time talent"
  9. You're right about the article but I get the sense that something may be simmering between the Bills and McCoy. McDermott could have cleared the air by saying that he spoke with McCoy and he had personal reasons for not attending ect. ect. ect but instead said ". "It is voluntary, though. That is what it is. I'm encouraged by the guys that are here, and that's really where my focus is at this time." Its like when your wife/girlfriend says,"do what you want".
  10. The Bills/Dolphins - Dolphins/Bills was pretty interesting
  11. I was glad when it happened and I haven't changed my mind.
  12. The line "He got the best years out of Tim Couch" made me spit out my coffee.
  13. Its not about how tough I had it or how easy "kids today do" its about understanding history and recognizing the game has changes and its not possible to compare across the eras. I never said Brady couldn't make it in the older game its just a fact that his numbers would be different because the rules changed. Yes I am learning not to debate with someone who supports his arguments by restating his premise.
  14. Great description! I think we look pretty good this year. Its the Islanders who are break hearts this year
  15. You'd never get Brady, Rodgers or Russell Wilson either
  16. You make some very good points and I was a little taken back when I read this quote from Terry Pegula about his vote regarding the Raider relocation " I know that the fans in Buffalo went through some hardship mentally wondering what was going to happen to their franchise. But you know, these things happen." These things happen??? Ouch. You are absolutely right when you wrote that the NFL wants a team in Toronto and no team will be allowed to move ther as long as the Bills are in Buffalo. All that being said, I still think the Pegulas want to keep the team here in Buffalo.
  17. Queue, I hate it when words are misspelled!
  18. Amen brother! I can't argue with that description of myself. Why else would I choose to cheer for the Mets over the Yankees, the Islanders over the Rangers and of course the Bills over the Giants. I even moved from the NYC area 10 years ago and could have jumped on the Brady bandwagon, life would be so much easier. "Without suffering how could we know joy"?
  19. Yep I have been a Bills season ticket holder for since the 90's and I have been to at least two games per year in Buffalo plus almost every game they play in the Meadowlands and now New England but like you I have never seen the Tide in Tuscaloosa. We might have to make the journey together one year!
  20. If you don't understand the difference between getting hit by those outstanding athletes you listed playing with the rules today and what getting completely demolished and very nearly decapitated by the guys I mentioned playing under the 1970's NFL rules you'll never understand why it was so much harder to pass in that era, NOBODY made a living going over the middle before the late 80's.
  21. I grew up in Astoria Queens as a Mets, Jets and Islanders fan. My father and I had Jets season tickets and attended games since I was about 10. In 1983 the Jets owner Leon Hess left New York (he was dishonest in my opinion, its a long and uninteresting story for non-Jets fans) So in 1984 I started cheering for the only team in New York. Since then I became a Bills season ticket holder in 1994 and have attended at least 2 games each year in Buffalo in addition to the road games at the Jets, Patriots and occasionally the Giants. Buffalo has become my beloved vacation home. (A common description I'm sure ). I love the city and region. I now live in Massachusetts and still proudly fly the Bills flag outside my house and on my car. Bill we have almost the same exact story! Including being 'Bama fans for the same reason (I also loved the Snake). My four kids are all die hard (often) Bills fans too,. Loyalty runs deep.
  22. I'm not a fan of Whaley in any way but this seems pretty odd. Fire your GM AFTER the draft and free agency?? Undermining him with McDermott's people isn't a good way either. This guys is going from a defensive coordinator to a guy that makes all the decisions?
