  1. I read that the Broncos put Kelly on the non-football related injured reserve list, meaning he can't come back until somewhere around week six. The article also said that it was unlikely the Bronco's would bring him back this year. I haven't been able to find out what the reason he went on the list has anyone heard?
  2. I am happy that the Bills decided to move on from Yates but I still would like to see them sign a QB to the practice squad. Webb really isn't a QB and I would like to have them at least taking a shot in the dark with another young guy with some upside.
  3. I'm sure they kid isn't 100% after coming back from such a major knee injury.
  4. This game is just a no-win situation as far as a measuring stick. If the Bills lose it will be viewed as a complete lost season if they win, no matter how convincingly the story line witl be about how bad the Jets are. This isn't the type of game to use to gauge the team's status or progress.
  5. It's just hyperbole and red meat for the fan base
  6. I am cautiously optimistic about Beane & McDermott.
  7. OJ has not been released from prison yet, although he has been granted parole he's still in jail. It would be silly for the Bills to sign someone who couldn't even get to the games. He was an undrafted free-agent; we only trade poeple we've drafted for lower picks turning 1's into 2's ect.
  8. Not at all
  9. My favorite Johnson game I attended was when he left the Bills and signed with the Redskins in 2003; he was backing up the immortal Patrick Ramsey who got hurt and Johnson came in for one series and guess what happened on 3rd down? I you guessed that he was sacked for a 6 yrd loss you are correct!
  10. Then blame it on Flutie
  11. He'd hold the flag too long and get sacked
  12. What an awful list! Top five for me: Flutie, Bledsoe, Tyrod, Fitz, Van Pelt(?) Bottom: Brohm, Tuel, Collins Absolutely most hated: Johnson I agree, he gave the team hope
  13. I hope you're wrong about that; Yates is awful and shouldn't even be in the league at this point. He clearly doesn't even have the tools to be a back-up QB.
  14. To quote the immortal Don Draper "that's what they money's for"
  15. I agree with you that Yates likely will stay for the reason you outlined but its safe because it reduces the opportunity for second guessing, and if that is your MO its pretty tough to win championships. Agreed, he is an upgrade from Yates Why do you say that Taylor would need to be released? They wouldn't put in a waiver claim, rather they would wait until he cleared and then sign him at market price. If the market is too steep let him go. I'm not sure I get that analogy lol
  16. I'm quite serious, it's pretty well known the Bills did some very serious partying prior to the first two Super Bowl losses. It's been documented by the press that Parcells didn't let his guys out while the Bills were having a blast during Super Bowl week. Lots of whispers about Kelly being hung over during the Redskin loss and let's not forget about Thomas losing his helmet. The teams were very good but could have been better. My comment was that I can't imagine Parcells or Belichick meeting with the players individually to see how much they would give. They would find out on the practice field and during games. As far as being only concerned about how they performed on the field that couldn't be further from the truth. If you read any stories by their current and former players you would get a far different opinion. Haven't you heard of the "Patriot Way"? Belichcik runs a very tight ship. Gronkowski hasn't done anything "bad" he's a fun loving kid but he hasn't been in trouble or mouthed off in the press. Hernandez is the only Patriot Incan think of during Belichicks time there that has been in trouble. You rock the boat under him and you are gone.
  17. I'd take Flacco ahead of Newton, Cousins, Stafford and maybe Rivers that would put him at 9 or 10.
  18. I'd say QB then coach
  19. I like the idea of getting as many quality guys in here until we find the right guy. If Peterman takes over and has a great year I would still draft a QB just in case. I wouldn't trade the house to get him unless its Darnold (who I think will be a superstar) but I would use a high pick to get an insurance policy.
  20. I'd rather have a QB on the development squad. Take a shot maybe get lucky with a young QB
  21. The Bills do have some talent in the short passing game (Matthews, Jones and Clay) so teams can't stack the box, but the problem is our starting QB is better at the vertical game than he his short crossing routes.
  22. Flacco deserves his money, he is a top 10 QB and that is something, ask any Bills fan.
