I think Murph is pretty good, and Kelso gives really technical analysis. They are both huge fans though and sometimes it shows through more than Van ever did.

Anybody remember how pumped we were after week 2 in 2003, when it looked like Bledsoe was a superhero and we were going to score 35 points a game, and no team could stop us? We went 6-10. NO still has a lot to prove IMO, and this is gonna be a tough road game for them....

Its funny that whenever somebody says something like this, you look and they are from FL. Its amazing how an entire state is anointing him as the chosen one....and pretty much everyone else thinks he is good but will likely flop pretty hard in the NFL. Why the hero worship? I watched him play a bit last week and I can't say I was all that impressed.

Did anyone else see 3-4 intentional grounding penalties that should have been called on Leftwich on the bucs' last TD drive? I'm not really inclined to think the NFL has something against the Bills, but this game should _not_ have been as close as it was.

Really? If that happened in a hockey game it wouldn't even be a penalty. The dude (on the winning team after the game) talked crap, and got knocked out for it. Why would that warrant a season long suspension?

I really don't think much should happen to the Oregon guy...the Boise state guy clearly went up and taunted him, and then he got lit up. Thats how every backyard football game ended when I was a kid. Even the Boise coach knew what his player did was wrong and tried to stop him. If anything the UO guy should be disciplined for whatever happened with the fans. As far as that punch goes, if you just won a game and you get in the face of your opponent and taunt him, you better be ready to get decked.

I don't think that is an accurate statement....Trent has had some really good games (or parts of games). I'm not being an apologist, but I think your statement has swung overwhelmingly negative. Think of the Raiders game last year, the Chargers game, the Seahawks game, the Broncos game. Those were won by a guy who managed the game well, kept some key drives alive, etc. JP was a first quarter TD machine, but was horrifying in the 4th quarter when the game was on the line.

There was at least one play that the pass rush did a good job of flushing Ben out of the pocket, and only a blatant hold by their RT saved a sack. Then Ben found someone downfield for a 1st down...and everyone gushed about how great Big Ben is about keeping plays going.

You may have had me until you compared him to Losman. When Trent started out, I also thought he was kelly holcomb, but KH never went 10-10. Losman may have made a big play or two, but he had a horrible completion %.

Chris Ellis looked pretty good when he was out there. He also looks like he is the same size/speed as Maybin. Do I not know what I'm talking about, or did the Bills FO forget about him too on draft day?

Wouldn't the NFL want pretty much every set of football-jersey-buying eyes watching the NFL network in August? I can see them wanting a "premium" network during the season, but during the preseason its just going to get more people thinking about football, buying tickets and merchandise, etc.

Then why isn't Vick being punished? You can't tell me having a gun in the trunk is 75% as bad as landing in federal prison, yet Lynch got 3 games and Vick only got 4. Goodell is just doing whatever he feels like at the moment.

I think Stallworth's suspension is reasonable. I think Vick should be out at least as long.....come on, the 2 years he was in jail does _not_ count as an NFL suspension. Stallworth committed a crime on one night, that he has dealt with appropriately. Vick was a flat out criminal for many months (years?) and the NFL is only slapping him on the wrist.

They played 1 last time. If they are going to get the same, I'll guess that they get 1 series. Its not that we have an all-new offensive line or anything....

Thats all you need to know right there. In college football when you are Notre Dame, thats a terrible record. They beat some mickey mouse teams, and even managed to lose to Syracuse. What part about them other than their name makes them a top 25 team?

Really? I went to school there and always thought it was still Bills country. Most of the out-of-town bars (like Glenwood Pines) showed the Bills games and had people watching it. Even Benchwarmers (where the jest/giants fans would go watch their games) did promos during the bills games and had bigger bills crowds. Its definitely not like WNY as far as how big of fans people are, but I never met someone who wasn't from downstate who liked the jets or the giants....guess I wasn't looking hard enough for them ;-)
