I think Coles would mean more for Buff than just the #s he contributes - paired with Evans, the offense could be a qualitatively different animal. I'm sure your FO pointed that out to him and I don't know why he isn't biting on it. It may well be the best situation Coles could hope to land in - he may be too dumb to understand it.

Yeah, but generally these "unnamed NFL source" are the players' agents. He'll tell a writer whatever he thinks will get him more $. Jimmy Johnson (you guys know him as "pig-faced satan") once said, and accurately, "all these guys come out in FA and say "I want to play for YOU coach'".

Pretty fair assessment. He's solid, but not a difference maker. In 4 years, the only game changing / saving play I saw him make was stopping LT on the goal line early this season. I think his biggest value is he has some leadership skills.

Following the Thanksgiving day Leon Lett game, the Phins went from 8-2 to 8-8. That's pretty sad-dick.

That's EXACTLY how I felt when we were wallowing at 2-3 and y'all were at 5-1. I really didn't think we'd have a chance to come near 500 and between Buff / Pats* / JEST, the Bills are just plain far less obnoxious (in recent years).

Dude, Has Buff EVER had a 1-15 season? THAT's misery man, pure pain - even Jay F. Leno and Letterman make you the punch line. But bad seasons lead to change. There's a lot of young talent on your team and you've got to look at the obvious - they're only going to improve. So hang in there.

Hey Bills fans, I've been around your site (and old Rochester D & C board) for a long, long time. I loved hating you guys back when you owned us - no way around that one (except for the freaky Louis Oliver / Bryan Cox win at OP, here and there). Things will get better. We went 1-15 last year and were just fortunate enough to get in a guy who knew how to put a team together, from the ground up. I'm going to be absolutely honest here, and I never, NEVER, thought I'd say this, but back when you guys were 4-1, 5-1, whatever, and we were sitting at 2-3 (or something nearly as awful), I had NO faith in the Phins and had hoped that, aside from your games against us, that you'd take the division away from the stinking Pats*. I hate those arrogant, dirty MFs so much (I guess we all do). But over the years, I've come to really appreciate Bills' fans. You guys stick with your team, and as I often tell folks, "know how to B word!". Just hang in there. At least you haven't had to flirt with the ignominity of perhaps being the first team to go winnless in a 16 game season. It looks bleak for you now, but you've got a young team, and it looks nowhere NEAR as bleak as the future looked for us this time last year. Anything can happen. Personally, I think @ Denver would be the tougher game for NE.

Why? Maybe your WNY beat writers have higher standards than the ones following the Phins, but the S.Fla. guys make crap up all the time, then base subsequent stories on previous garbage made up in other rags.
